A scenario where the market demand is changed suddenly by some undesired events is considered. The results reveal that enhancing collaboration with a more resilient supplier can significantly improve supply chain resilience and reduce supply chain losses. It is also found that enhancing the supplier relationship can significantly benefit supply chain resilience if the collaborative intensity is relatively low, and it has less effect if supply chain members have already collaborated closely. Thus, enhancing the supplier relationship to a limited intensity is a relatively effective and economic method to strengthen supply chain resilience.展开更多

METHODS: To observe the relation of cavernous hemangioma of the liver to the hepatic artery and portal vein, we performed serial selective hepatic arteriography in 22 patients. Five patients after ligation of the right hepatic arteries underwent portography and liver staining by in jection of methylene blue into the portal veins and 2 patients had hepatic specimens resected, which were made into a model cast by filling the hepatic veins (yellow) and portal venous branches (blue) with methyl methacrylate after vascular lavage. RESULTS: Serial selective hepatic arteriography showed that hepatic arteries and hemangioma were displayed simultaneously, and that hemangioma was supplied by one to numerous arterial branches. In the portal phase of portography, contrast medium failed to enter the tumor and the intrahepatic branches of the portal vein were pushed aside by the tumor; in the liver parenchymal phase, however, the tumor appeared to be a low-density area. Hepatic arteriography and portography revealed that the fistula between the artery and portal vein may not be existed. The liver stained with methylene blue showed that the normal hepatic parenchyma could be stained with deep blue; in contrast, the tumor was not stained at all. The casting specimens showed that the eroded tumor left a round vacant area because of its total shedding, and no blue stained branches of the portal vein extended into the tumor. CONCLUSION: Blood supply of CHL may originate from the hepatic artery.展开更多

METHODS Ⅰ. Origin of blood supply of CHL: portovenography, hepatic arteriography and portal vein staining were performed in 5 patients. Two casts of hepatic blood vessels from resected specimen were observed. Ⅱ. Clinical data: Among 75 patients (30 males, 45 females, aged 25~57 years with a mean of 37 4). 56 were of solitary type (44 on the right lobe, 12 on the left with 4 having intraparenchymatoma) and 19 were of multiple type (9 on the right, 2 the left, 8 whole liver). Twenty two patients were treated by sclerosis, 50 by embolization via hepatic artery and 3 were excised. RESULTS In 5 cases with portography, the contrast medium did not enter the tumor, the tumor appeared as low denty area and the intrahepatic branches of portal vein were pushed aside. In 5 cases with portal vein staining, the normal liver parenchyma was stained deep blue, and the tumor was not stained. The tumor area appeared as a round vacant cavity in 2 specimen casts. In 72 patients treated with sclerosis a or embolization via hepatic artery or through interventional method, the tumors diminished by 10%~30% in diameter and no tumors grew larger. CONCLUSION The blood supply of CHL originates from the hepatic artery. Tumors treated with sclerosis and emblization decreased in size or got fiberized.展开更多

When muscle weakness occurs, or after failure of more conservative treatments, anterior transposition is used. In the present study, the ulnar nerve and its blood vessels were examined in the elbows of 18 adult cadavers, and the external diameter of the nutrient vessels of the ulnar nerve at the point of origin, the distances between the origin of the vessels and the medial epicondyle of the humerus, and the length of the vessels accompanying the ulnar nerve in the superior ulnar collateral artery, the inferior ulnar collateral artery, and the posterior ulnar recurrent artery were measured. Anterior transposition of the vascularized ulnar nerve was per- formed to treat cubital tunnel syndrome. The most appropriate distance that the vascularized ulnar nerve can be moved to the subcutaneous tissue under tension-free conditions was 1.8 ± 0.6 cm (1.1-2.5 cm), which can be used as a reference value during the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome with anterior transposition of the vascularized ulnar nerve.展开更多

However, there are controversies about vascular distribution, vascular structure and blood flow in pathological scars. Additionally, hypoxic microenvironment plays an important role in the vascularization of pathological scar tissues, and hypoxic conditions can be reflected by metabolic indexes and some cytokines. Furthermore, the correlation between blood supply and tissue hypoxia is controversial. The aim of this article is to review the literature on the characteristics of blood supply and tissue hypoxia in pathological scars, from which we can see pathological scars have unique characteristics of blood supply that are closely associated with tissue hypoxia. Moreover, development in the treatment of pathological scars is herein reviewed.展开更多

The value of demand information sharing is analyzed in a two-level supply chain involving one supplier-multiple retailer model in which retailer demands may be correlated. Each member in the supply chain forecasts its demand using an AR (1) demand process. Two conditions of the information sharing are considered (1) Without the information sharing, the retailers only communicate their orders to the supplier. (2) With the information sharing, retailers communicate their orders and forecasting models to the supplier. Analyses showthat the reductions of supplier's average inventory and average costs are substantial with the information sharing. However, the retailers donot get direct benefit from the information sharing. The retailers may ask the supplier to reduce the replenishment leadtime, so that the retailers will obtain substantial cost savings and inventory reduction. Both partners may obtain benefits when information sharing and leadtime reduction are implemented together.展开更多

The results showed that the appearance and quantity of pulmonary blood supply of bronchogenic carcinoma depended on and changed with the site, activity, growth mode as well as the local condition of tumor nodules; pulmonary artery supplied blood to the Periphery of the tumor and its iunermost part as well; vessels from pulmonary artery in tumor nodules were generally less in number than those in the surrounding normal lung tissues around. The results suggested that the tumor blood supply from pulmonary artery should he evaluated comprehensively and dynamically; during interventional chemotherapy via pulmonary artery, patients should bc selected carefully and the catheter for infusion placed in suitable position so as to gain the best therapeutic effect.展开更多

We proof that using the general contract based on auction theory, i. e. the wholesale price contract, would not achieve the coordination of channel composed of the manufacturer and the winning supplier. The paper designs a contract mechanism, i.e. the side payment price-restricted contract based on auction theory, which not only ensures Pareto optimal solutions for both, but also coordinates the supply chain. A numerical experiment is provided to compare the performance of different auction mechanisms and to reinforce key managerial insights generated through analysis.展开更多

SARS-CoV-2 has the characteristics of a long incubation period and asymptomatic infection, which are undoubtedly major challenges to blood transfusion safety. Although no research has suggested that there is a risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission through blood transfusion, the safe use of clinical blood during the epidemic is a serious problem faced by blood collection and supply institutions. Herein, we elaborate on the management of blood collection and supply during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic from aspects such as blood inventory management, clinical blood use, and reducing the risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 via blood transfusion. Blood service departments should adopt flexible policies to ensure that blood collection networks can meet clinical needs, while at the same time protecting staff and blood donors, maintaining blood safety, and reducing blood risks during the epidemic.展开更多

Tumors treated with sclerosis and emblization decreased in size or got fiberized.

文摘Cubital tunnel syndrome is often accompanied by paresthesia in ulnar nerve sites and hand muscle atrophy. The most appropriate distance that the vascularized ulnar nerve can be moved to the subcutaneous tissue under tension-free conditions was 1.8 ± 0.6 cm (1.1-2.5 cm), which can be used as a reference value during the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome with anterior transposition of the vascularized ulnar nerve.
文摘Blood supply is believed to be an important aspect in the development of pathological scars. Moreover, development in the treatment of pathological scars is herein reviewed.
文摘Prior research has generally focused on models involving a single or multiple retailers with independent demands. Both partners may obtain benefits when information sharing and leadtime reduction are implemented together.

文摘Supplier selection is a vital part of the supply chain and is also a current issue that concerns businesses today as supplier quality directly affects the operations of the organization.Choosing the right supplier can help businesses increase productivity, competitiveness in the market, and profits without having to lower the quality of the products. However, choosing a supplier is not a simple matter,it requires businesses to consider many aspects about their suppliers. Therefore, the goal of this study is to propose an integrated model consisting of two models:Fuzzy Analytics Network Process(Fuzzy-ANP)model and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment(WASPAS)to solve the problem above. The Fuzzy-ANP model was developed to evaluate the weightings of the supplier selection criteria, and the WASPAS Model was used to rank the suppliers. An example of supplier selection in the coffee industry in Vietnam was studied to validate the model, namely 5 main criteria, with 16 sub-criteria,and 7 suppliers. The model test results show that the Fuzzy ANP and WASPAS integration model was suitable. In future, these developing models can apply to other industries or integrate with other models.
文摘Microfil perfusion technique was used to investigate the blood supply of bronchogenic carcinoma deriving from pulmonary artery on 20 fresh specimens of lung cancer, including 11 squamous carcinoma, 6adenocarcinoma, 1 alveolar cell carcinoma and 2undifferentiated carcinoma cases. The results suggested that the tumor blood supply from pulmonary artery should he evaluated comprehensively and dynamically; during interventional chemotherapy via pulmonary artery, patients should bc selected carefully and the catheter for infusion placed in suitable position so as to gain the best therapeutic effect.

文摘This paper analyzes an electronic procurement (e-procurement) process between a manufacturer and N-supplier in the e-market. A numerical experiment is provided to compare the performance of different auction mechanisms and to reinforce key managerial insights generated through analysis.

文摘The blood-brain barrier(BBB)(discovered and defined by Max Lewandowsky and Lina Stern, and not,as it is universally, and yet erroneously believed,by Paul Ehrlich(Verkhratsky and Pivoriunas,2023))that separates the nervous system from the circulation is evolutionarily conserved from arthropods to man.The primeval BBB of the invertebrates and some early vertebrates was made solely by glial cells and secured(in invertebrates)by septate junctions.
文摘This comprehensive review embarks on a captivating journey into the complex relationship between cardiology and normal-tension glaucoma(NTG),a condition that continues to baffle clinicians and researchers alike.NTG,characterized by optic nerve damage and visual field loss despite normal intraocular pressure, has long puzzled clinicians. One emerging perspective suggests that alterations in ocular blood flow, particularly within the optic nerve head, may play a pivotal role in its pathogenesis. While NTG shares commonalities with its high-tension counterpart, its unique pathogenesis and potential ties to cardiovascular health make it a fascinating subject of exploration. It navigates through the complex web of vascular dysregulation, blood pressure and perfusion pressure, neurovascular coupling, and oxidative stress, seeking to uncover the hidden threads that tie the heart and eyes together in NTG.This review explores into the intricate mechanisms connecting cardiovascular factors to NTG,shedding light on how cardiac dynamics can influence ocular health, particularly in cases where intraocular pressure remains within the normal range.NTG's enigmatic nature, often characterized by seemingly contradictory risk factors and clinical profiles, underscores the need for a holistic approach to patient care.Drawing parallels to cardiac health,we examine into the shared vascular terrain connecting the heart and the eyes.Cardiovascular factors, including systemic blood flow, endothelial dysfunction, and microcirculatory anomalies, may exert a profound influence on ocular perfusion, impacting the delicate balance within the optic nerve head.By elucidating the subtle clues and potential associations between cardiology and NTG,this review invites clinicians to consider a broader perspective in their evaluation and management of this elusive condition. As the understanding of these connections evolves,so too may the prospects for early diagnosis and tailored interventions, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those living with NTG.
文摘Since the end of 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has continued to spread worldwide and has become a major global public health threat. Blood service departments should adopt flexible policies to ensure that blood collection networks can meet clinical needs, while at the same time protecting staff and blood donors, maintaining blood safety, and reducing blood risks during the epidemic.
