Methods Sixty-four cases of insomnia were selected and divided randomly into a back-shu points group (group A) and a conventional acupoints group (group B) by a computer generated allocation list, 32 cases in each one. In the trial group, acupuncture was applied at xinshu (心俞 15), Ganshu (刊俞 18), Pishu (脾俞 BL 20) and Geshu (膈俞 BL 17). In the control group, acupuncture was applied conventionally to Neiguan (内关 PC 6), Shenmen (神门 HT 7), Sanyinjiao (三阴交 SP 6), Baihui (百会 GV 20) and Sishencong (四神聪 EX-HN 2). Ten treatments made a session. The efficacy was analyzed statistically after 3 sessions of treatment. Results There were significant differences between the two groups in the relief of sleep disorders after the treatment (P〈0.O2). The improvement in sleep efficiency was different significantly (P〈0.05). The difference in sleep difficulty was significant in Chinese medicine (TCM) symptom score (P〈0.05). Conclusion The clinical efficacy is achieved by either acupuncture at back-shu points or by acupuncture at conventional acupoints. The improvements of sleep efficiency and sleep disorder scores in PSO.I, and sleep difficulty in TCM as well as the long-term efficacy are superior in group A as compared with those in group B.展开更多

Methods Fifty-one patients with renal colic were randomly divided into an electroacupuncture group (26 cases) and a medicine group (25 cases). In the electroacupuncture group, electroacupuncture was applied to the Xi-cleft points of kidney and bladder meridians, named Shuǐquán (水泉 KI 5) and Jīnmén (金门 BL 63) as well as the relevant Front-mu points, Jīngmén (京门 GB 25) and Zhōngjí (中极 CV 3). In the medicine group, intramuscular injection with Fortanodyn (100 mg) was administered. Once treatment was applied for immediate analgesia in each group. Before and after treatment, the Simplified McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) and the Visual Analogy Scale (VAS) were adopted for pain assessment respectively. The clinical efficacy and the recurrence of the disease were observed in the two groups. Results The clinically cured and remarkably effective rate was 69.2% (18/26) in the electroacupuncture group, which was superior to 44.0% (11/25) in the medicine group (P0.05). Separately, in 10 min, 30 min, 60 min and 120 min after treatment, in either group, SF-MPQ and VAS scores were obviously reduced as compared with those before treatment (all P0.05). The scores in 10 min and 30 min after treatment in the electroacupuncture group were reduced more remarkably as compared with those in the medicine group (both P0.05). The complete remission time in the electroacupuncture group was shorter apparently than that in the medicine group [(131.19±152.12) min vs (184.29±84.04) min, P0.05]. The recurrence rate of renal colic in 24 h was 8.0% (2/25) in the electroacupuncture group, which was lower slightly than 31.6% (6/19) in the medicine group (P0.05). Conclusion Renal colic can be effectively relieved in the treatment with either electroacupuncture at the Xi-cleft points and the Front-mu points of kidney and bladder meridians or intramuscular injection with Fortanodyn. But, the electroacupuncture therapy achieves much better efficacy.展开更多

In treatment group, the back-shu points of five zang organs were adopted for acupuncture. Shènshū(肾俞 BL23) was perpendicularly needled 15-30 mm in depth. The rest of the selected points were inserted obliquely 15-30 mm in the direction of the spine with even method of lifting-thrusting and twisting-twirling, 10 s for each acupoint. In control group, the acupoints were approximately 1.5-2 cm away outward from the back-shu points of five zang organs(about on the middle of the two sidelines of the bladder meridian of foottaiyang) and the points from the bladder meridian of foot-taiyang were excluded. Acupoints were needled6-9 mm in depth, and deqi was not required, without any manipulation. The treatments were carried out twice a week for twenty minutes each time, a total of eight treatments were given. The clinical efficacy of acupuncture treatment for CFS was evaluated through the Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14) and the Symptom Check-List 90(SCL-90) after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 86.67% in the treatment group and 53.33% in the control group(P<0.01). In treatment group, FS-14 total scores, somatic fatigue scores, and mental fatigue scores were significantly reduced than before treatment(all P<0.01). In control group, FS-14 total scores and somatic fatigue scores were significantly reduced(both P<0.01). The improvement of FS-14 total scores, somatic fatigue scores, and mental fatigue scores in the treatment group were better than those in the control group(P<0.01, P<0.05). After treatment, SCL-90 total scores and somatization, compulsion, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, psychoticism, and other factors scores were significantly reduced in the treatment group compared with before treatment(P<0.01). In control group, the SCL-90 total scores and the scores of somatization, compulsion, hostility, and other factors after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P< 0.01). The total scores of SCL-90 and somatization, compulsion, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, psychoticism, and other factors in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P< 0.01, P< 0.05).Conclusions: Acupuncture on back-shu points of five zang can significantly improve the somatic fatigue and mental fatigue of the patients, and at the same time improve their psychological status. Significant therapeutic effect was found on CFS. Compared with the control group, the acupuncture treatment can significantly improve the patient’s somatic fatigue, mental fatigue and psychological status.展开更多

文摘Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect on insomnia treated with acupuncture at back-shu points. The improvements of sleep efficiency and sleep disorder scores in PSO.I, and sleep difficulty in TCM as well as the long-term efficacy are superior in group A as compared with those in group B.
文摘Objective To observe the efficacy difference of renal colic treated with electroacupuncture in comparison with intramuscular injection with Fortanodyn. But, the electroacupuncture therapy achieves much better efficacy.
文摘Objective To find therapeutic effect of acupuncture treating depression. Methods Eighteen cases of depression divided into two groups: one group treated with electroacupuncture (8 cases), the other with medication (10 cases).
