There is fierce global competition within the banking industry.Therefore,banks endeavor to grow and strive to increase their market share.We analyzed the effect of developing innovative channels of presenting bank ser...There is fierce global competition within the banking industry.Therefore,banks endeavor to grow and strive to increase their market share.We analyzed the effect of developing innovative channels of presenting bank services on banks’market share.The statistical population of this research was Shahr bank’s central headquarter and its branches in Tehran,Iran.We developed questionnaires for gathering the data.The validity and reliability of the scales were tested by EFA,CFA,experts’opinion,and Cronbach’s alpha.We used linear regression to assess the impact of innovative channels,including internet banking,automatic teller machines(ATMs),mobile banking,telephone banking(TB),and point of sales(POS)on banks’market share.The results indicated that some of these channels,including internet banking,POS,and TB,positively affect a bank’s market share.The effect of two other platforms,including mobile banking and ATM development,on banks’market share was rejected.The findings of this study expand our understanding of how bank managers can improve their market share by developing innovative e-banking channels.展开更多

Channelization has a rigorous requirement for the characteristic of frequency response, e.g., steep transitional band and sharp decay. To address this issue, we investigated the feasibility and implementation of applying fast filter bank(FFB) in channelization in this paper. We analyzed the butterfly structure of FFB similar with fast Fourier transform(FFT), in which prototype sub-filters are cascaded to achieve a low complexity. Hence, it is suitable for designing filter bank with steep transitional band and sharp decay in stop-band. Moreover, we designed a pipelined structure of FFB to achieve a balance between area and performance. Design example shows that FFB has lower computational complexity compared with the other filter banks.展开更多

The dynamic reconfigu...A structure of dynamic reconfigurable channelized filter bank is proposed in order to solve the problem that the uniform channelized receiver cannot receive the cross-channel and wideband signal. The dynamic reconfigurable channelized filter bank is divided into two parts-the analysis filter bank and the synthesis filter bank. The function of the analysis filter bank is to divide the received signal into several sub-signals according to the channel division. Then the sub-signals of each channel need to be detected and discriminated. At last, we use the sub-signals to reconstruct the original received signal by the synthesis filter bank. The analysis filter and the synthesis filter bank of the dynamic reconfigurable channelized filter bank are all efficient polyphase structures, so it can save more hardware resources and has extensive applicability. The structure is simulated by MATLAB and the simulation results verify the correctness of this structure.展开更多
The great impact of monetary policy on bank risk-taking,facilitated by a liquidity mechanism,significantly complicates the macro-prudential supervision process.Surprisingly,limited scholarly research has delved into t...The great impact of monetary policy on bank risk-taking,facilitated by a liquidity mechanism,significantly complicates the macro-prudential supervision process.Surprisingly,limited scholarly research has delved into this particular issue.Hence,in this paper,the liquidity variable is introduced into the dynamic linear model to depict the liquidity mechanism by which monetary policy affects bank risk-taking.Based on micro-data from 133 commercial banks in China,this paper empirically tests using systematic Gaussian mixture models estimation and a panel smooth transition regression model.The findings reveal that while monetary policy does not exhibit a significant risk-shifting effect.A marked liquidity transmission effect,however,is observed,whereby easy monetary policy noticeably exacerbates bank risk-taking.This impact becomes more pronounced as liquidity levels improve.The most significant negative impact of monetary policy on bank risk-taking occurs when bank liquidity reaches approximately 43%.Moreover,when banks maintain high levels of liquidity,the statutory deposit reserve ratio exerts a greater regulatory effect than other monetary policy tools.Contractionary monetary policy imposes noticeably weaker restraints than expansionary monetary policy,particularly in banks with higher liquidity levels.Moreover,the interplay between monetary policy and bank risk-taking is contingent upon not just the liquidity level of banks,but also their asset size and capital adequacy.展开更多

The former is mainly used in military channelized receiver for spectrum analysis; the latter has wide application in frequency synthesizer and frequency-hopping radar and communication system receiver as anti-jamming filter, and has been widely used in various military electronic equipments ever since the 1970s. Research abroad was done mainly by Americans, few documents on related work done by Japan and Russia are available. Do-mestic research started in the 1980s, mainly by No. 26 Research Institute, China Electronics Technology Group Co., Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, No. 23 and No. 25 Research Institute, China Spaceflight Tech. Group Co. Spur dykes also known as Groynes are often used to either divert or attract the flow from the main structure to safeguard their life.Those structures may be bridge piers,abutments or any similar hydraulics structures....Spur dykes also known as Groynes are often used to either divert or attract the flow from the main structure to safeguard their life.Those structures may be bridge piers,abutments or any similar hydraulics structures.Spur dykes are also used to save the cutting of banks on concave side of stream.Lots of work have been done in recent past on spur dykes by many investigators in which various hydraulic and geometrical parameters of spur dykes such as discharge,sediment size,flow velocity,shear stress,spur dykes shape,size and submergence etc.are studied in detail.But mostly all the studies were pointed out in straight open channels.Very few studies were done in curved channel and only their similar effects were studied.In present thesis main emphasis is given to study the effect of orientation and location of spur dykes in meandering channel on the bed of downstream side.In the present study experimental work has been carried out in 80°bend and constant discharge(Q=4.5 l/s)is allowed to pass in channel without spur dyke.It is found that maximum scouring occurs at angular displacementθ=60°to 80°in the vicinity of outer bank.To minimize this scouring,spur dyke has been installed at angular displacementθ=20°,40°&60°by changing the dyke angleα=60°,90°&120°respectively.It is found that scouring atθ=60°is reduced by installing spur dyke at angular displacementθ=40°which is oriented atα=60°and scouring atθ=80°is reduced by installing spur dyke at angular displacementθ=60°which is oriented atα=60°.展开更多
Filter-bank multicarrier (FBMC) with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) is a candidate waveform for future wireless communications due to its advantages over orthogonal frequency division multiplexing ...Filter-bank multicarrier (FBMC) with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) is a candidate waveform for future wireless communications due to its advantages over orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. However, because of or-thogonality in real field and the presence of imaginary intrinsic interference, channel estimation in FBMC is not as straightforward as OFDM systems especially in multiple antenna scenarios. In this paper, we propose a channel estimation method which employs intrinsic interference cancellation at the transmitter side. The simulation results show that this method has less pilot overhead, less peak to average power ratio (PAPR), better bit error rate (BER), and better mean square error (MSE) performance compared to the well-known intrinsic approximation methods (IAM).展开更多

Discretization of the rec...This paper proposes a wavelet based receiver structure for frequency-flat time-varying Rayleigh channels, consisting of a receiver front-end followed by a Maximum A-Posteriori (MAP) detector. Discretization of the received continuous time signal using filter banks is an essential stage in the front-end part, where the Fast Haar Transform (FHT) is used to reduce complexity. Analysis of our receiver over slow-fading channels shows that it is optimal for certain modulation schemes. By comparison with literature, it is shown that over such channels our receiver can achieve optimal performance for Time-Orthogonal modulation. Computed and Monte-Carlo simulated performance results over fast time-varying Rayleigh fading channels show that with Minimum Shift Keying (MSK), our receiver using four basis functions (filters) lowers the error floor by more than one order of magnitude with respect to other techniques of comparable complexity. Orthogonal Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) can achieve the same performance as Time-Orthogonal modulation for the slow-fading case, but suffers some degradation over fast-fading channels where it exhibits an error floor. Compared to MSK, however, Orthogonal FSK provides better performance.展开更多
