From 1991 to 1994, the investigation of bears organized by CWCA (China wildlifeConservation Association) was conducted in 22 provinces of China The rcsults showed that the distribution area of bearshad been changed from the continuous distribution to fragmentary. The distribution areas of threc species were 1imited to thearea of 2591427 km2, and the total number of population was reduced to 61686. The distribution area of black bear was625086 km2, the population size was 46528, average density was 0. 0714/km2 The distribution area of brown bear was1956691 km2, the population size was 14783, average density was 0. 0076/km2 The distribution area of sun bear was 9650km2; the population size was trom 350 to 400. There are 396 bear farms in China and the 6688 bears are being reared onthese bear farms 94.4% of them is black bears (3612), 4. 5% of them is brown bears (300); 1. 1 % of them is sun bears (10).The management of bears in China was discussed in this paper.展开更多

The growth and sprawl of the American black bear (Ursus americanus) population have been observed and monitored in the past two decades, especially in south-central Kentucky. To better manage human-black bear interact...The growth and sprawl of the American black bear (Ursus americanus) population have been observed and monitored in the past two decades, especially in south-central Kentucky. To better manage human-black bear interaction and develop informed policy and best practices, the current study sought to 1) understand south-central Kentucky residents’ current knowledge of and previous experience with black bears, 2) investigate residents’ attitudes toward black bears and regulated hunting in wildlife management;and 3) identify residents’ level of acceptance of various black bear related management actions in south-central Kentucky. From February to April 2017, residents of London and Stearns districts (southeastern regions) of the Daniel Boone National Forest, a black bear habitat, were invited to participate in this study. The results from 139 completed surveys showed that residents lacked sufficient knowledge about black bear populations in the region and received minimal information regarding black bear management efforts. In comparison to education efforts and relocation, regulated black bear hunting could be a cost-effective option to promote responsible use of wildlife resources and black bear population control. This study provided lessons and recommendations for black bear management in south-central Kentucky and may be of utilization for any other wildlife conservation areas.展开更多
The major faced problems at present in Yangtze river basin are: ① uneffective control in river water pollution threatens seriously the safety of drinking water; ② shrinkage of lake area and serious eutrophication; ...The major faced problems at present in Yangtze river basin are: ① uneffective control in river water pollution threatens seriously the safety of drinking water; ② shrinkage of lake area and serious eutrophication; ③ soil-water losses degraded the ecological environment of the basin; ④ the impact of TGP and S-N water transfer project on water environment of the basin. In the light of above-mentioned problems, water resources utilization strategy must be adjusted and the sustainable social and economic development should be supported by sustainable water resources utilization, and it is necessary to take the following countermeasures: ① establishing overall flood control and disaster relief system; ② developing high water use efficiency agriculture; ③ taking "giving priority to water saving on the basis of pollution control" as urban water resources utilization strategy; ④ implementing comprehensive pollution control strategy with sources control as main point; ⑤ guaranteing water demand of the ecological environment; ⑥implementing the strategy of maintaining water resources supply and demand balance on the basis of water demand management; ⑦ studying countermeasures for the ecological and environmental impacts of trans-basin water transfer and western China devolopment. The key of realization of sustainable water resources utilization is to reform management and investment mechanism of water resources and water price policy. It is the only way to solve the water resources problems in Yangtze river basin as well as the whole China.展开更多
At present,the 5th-Generation(5G)wireless mobile communication standard has been released.5G networks efficiently support enhanced mobile broadband traffic,ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic,and massive ...At present,the 5th-Generation(5G)wireless mobile communication standard has been released.5G networks efficiently support enhanced mobile broadband traffic,ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic,and massive machine-type communication.However,a major challenge for 5G networks is to achieve effective Radio Resource Management(RRM)strategies and scheduling algorithms to meet quality of service requirements.The Proportional Fair(PF)algorithm is widely used in the existing 5G scheduling technology.In the PF algorithm,RRM assigns a priority to each user which is served by gNodeB.The existing metrics of priority mainly focus on the flow rate.The purpose of this study is to explore how to improve the throughput of 5G networks and propose new scheduling schemes.In this study,the package delay of the data flow is included in the metrics of priority.The Vienna 5G System-Level(SL)simulator is a MATLAB-based SL simulation platform which is used to facilitate the research and development of 5G and beyond mobile communications.This paper presents a new scheduling algorithm based on the analysis of different scheduling schemes for radio resources using the Vienna 5G SL simulator.展开更多
