Although the current diagnosis and treatment equipment and drug research and development keep pace with the times, the current medical technology still can not completely cure the disease, so it is of great significance to explore the pathogenesis and treatment target of AD. The disorder of energy metabolism is one of the characteristic changes in the pathological process of AD. Aerobic glycolysis (AEG) is a special metabolic pathway in the brain, which can rapidly consume glucose to produce energy and substrate for neurons, improve synaptic plasticity, neuroinflammation and oxidative damage, and contribute to the recovery of memory and cognitive function. In recent years, many literatures have reported the mechanism of AEG in AD and the intervention of Tradit Chin Med on this mechanism. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the role of AEG in AD and the related research on the regulation and control of AEG in the treatment of AD by Tradit Chin Med, in order to provide reference and ideas for the prevention and treatment of AD with Tradit Chin Med in the future.展开更多

Methods A cross-sectional nationwide survey of 2803 CHD outpatients was completed by collecting information, including general demographic data, disease history, and use of drugs (including TCM and WM). Results Of the 2712 CHD outpatients with complete drug treatment data, only 3.1% received TCM without any WM for CHD, 30.0% received both TCM and WM recommended by current CHD guidelines, and 66.9% received only WM. Patients with a longer history of CHD or with a history of stroke, were more likely to use TCM. However, 90.6% of CHD patients who used TCM also used certain WM. Furthermore, patients who used more types of TCM tended to use much less WM recommended by current guidelines. Conclusion A substantial proportion of Chinese CHD outpatients use both TCM and WM for secondary prevention of CHD. It is important to assess the effect of combined TCM and WM on major clinical outcomes in Chinese CHD patients.展开更多

Although the modern methods used for the prevention and treatment of CHD have been increasingly perfected, clinical problems remain that require solutions. In the prevention and treatment of CHD with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), great therapeutic advantages have been demonstrated. However, the expression of its advantages relies on scientific evidence-based research and evaluation, which require further optimization and improvement. Therefore, this review aims to comprehensively emphasize our understanding of the current deficiencies in TCM evidence-based studies and the necessity of adopting scientific evidence-based optimization methods for use in research. In this process, evidence should be produced in a standard manner, and the advantages of TCM patterns should be accurately stated because these factors contribute to efficient transformation and proper verification of the obtained evidence.Additionally, focusing on patient-oriented medicine and doctor-patient relationships is also essential. These methods are of great significance to prove the clinical efficacy of TCM and promote its development.展开更多

文摘Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a common chronic liver disease characterized by diffuse hepatic steatosis. With the improvement of people's living standard, the incidence rate of NAFLD has been increasing, which has become one of the global health problems in 21st Century. However, there is no specific drug or standard treatment for NAFLD,which brings challenges to treatment.Acupuncture, moxibustion, massage and other external therapies based on the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine have obvious curative effect in the clinical treatment of NAFLD,but the mechanism has not been systematically explained, which makes the clinical promotion evidence insufficient. This paper aims to summarize the researches on the treatment of NAFLD by external therapies of traditional Chinese medicine in recent years, and analyze its possible mechanism,so as to provide a scientific theoretical basis for future basic experiments and clinical research, and form a set of standardized clinical diagnosis and treatment scheme with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine.
文摘Zhongjing Zhang’s Shang Han Lun(Treatise on Cold-induced Diseases,an ancient Chinese medical book written by Zhongjing Zhang in the Eastern Han Dynasty)was pioneering to conduct the Six-Meridian Pattern Identification, which provided later generations with a theoretical basis for the treatment of Exogenous Febrile Diseases. The coronavirus disease 2019 belongs to the category of“Pestilence”(the general term for virulent infectious epidemic diseases)in“Febrile Diseases”(the general term for acute externally contracted diseases caused by Warm Pathogens, with fever as the chief manifestation, also known as Warm Diseases)and the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 is mostly based on the Triple Energizer Pattern Identification(the a categorization of Pattern Identification according to the theory of the Triple Energizer)or Defense,Qi,Nutrient and Blood Pattern Identification(the categorization of Febrile Diseases Pattern Identification according to the theory of Defense,Qi,Nutrient and Blood which indicates the stages of the clinical course with corresponding pathological changes).Although the theory of Cold-induced Diseases(the condition caused by Cold, manifested as chills and fever, absence of sweating, headache and floating-tense pulse)and the theory of Febrile Disease seem to be entirely distinct with each other,Zhongjing Zhang’s theory contained Triple Energizer Pattern Identification or Defense,Qi,Nutrient and Blood Pattern Identification, and Triple Energizer Pattern Identification or Defense Qi,Nutrient and Blood Pattern Identification also contained Zhongjing Zhang’s Six-Meridian Pattern Identification(the categorization of Pattern Identification according to the theory of the Six Meridians, applied to the diagnosis of acute Febrile Diseases at different stages, and also useful for the Pattern Identification of other diseases). The basic principles and therapeutic methods of Cold-induced Diseases and Febrile Diseases are intertwined. Therefore, this paper will combine the two theories to analyze the traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of coronavirus disease 2019,and try to use Six-Meridian Pattern Identification to guide the treatment of this disease.

文摘Due to the special perianal location, anorectal diseases are prone to form chronic refractory wounds after surgery, with Qi(气)deficiency and blood stasis as the main cause. As a classical theory in TCM medicine,"simmering pus and forming flesh"attaches great importance to harmonizing Qi and blood in the wound healing period, which gradually achieves significant efficacy in clinical application after anorectal disease surgery.Literatures in recent years on"simmering pus and forming flesh"method being applied to postoperative wound healing in all kinds of anorectal diseases(such as anal fistula, perianal abscess, anal fissure, mixed hemorrhoid, etc.)were reviewed, and advantages and characteristics of its clinical efficacy in anorectal diseases were summarized,so as to provide reference for postoperative wound healing and repair treatment in anorectal diseases.
文摘Background:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of refractory gastroesophageal reflux. Methods:PubMed,The Cochrane Library,Embase,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database and Chinese BioMedical Literature Database were searched for randomized controlled trials of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of refractory gastroesophageal reflux from database establishment time to December 2020.After two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data and evaluated the bias risk included in the study,RevMan5.3 software was used for meta-analysis.Results:A total of 12 randomized controlled trials, were included, including 893 patients. The results of meta-analysis showed that the total effective rate of the treatment group(relative risk=1.28,95%confidence interval(CI)(1.19,1.38),P<0.00001),RGERDQ(refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease)score(mean difference(MD)=−3.35,95%CI(−4.13,−2.57),P<0.00001],acid reflux(acid in the stomach comes out of the mouth)[MD=−0.30,95%CI(−0.45,−0.15),P<0.00001],heartburn(the feeling that the heart is burned)(MD=−0.44,95%CI(−0.60,−0.29),P<0.00001,and retrosternal pain(MD=−0.27,95%CI(−0.44,−0.10),P<0.00001,belching(MD=−0.40,95%CI(−0.57,−0.24),P<0.00001],endoscopic mucosal score(MD=−0.62,95%CI(−0.78,−0.46),P<0.00001],the differences were statistically significant, and the effective rate of mucosal improvement under endoscopy was P=0.93>0.05,with no statistically significant difference. Conclusion:The current evidence shows that traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease is better than that of western medicine in the total effective rate, relieving acid reflux, heartburn, retrosternal pain and belching symptoms, but it is impossible to judge the improvement of mucosa under endoscope.Due to the limitations of the quality and quantity of included studies, more high-quality studies are needed to confirm the above conclusions.

文摘Objective To study the use of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) or both TCM and guideline-recommended Western medicine (WM) in Chinese patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). It is important to assess the effect of combined TCM and WM on major clinical outcomes in Chinese CHD patients.

文摘Coronary heart disease(CHD) has severely impacted the lives and health of patients for ages. These methods are of great significance to prove the clinical efficacy of TCM and promote its development.

文摘Background:Currently, the treatment of liver diseases remains an unsolved problem due to its complicated etiology and pathogenesis.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been used for liver disease treatment for thousands of years.Disease treatment using TCM compounds conforms to the concept of“holism”,which coincides with the complicated pathogenic mechanisms of liver diseases. However, the mechanisms have not been clearly explained due to the complex components and multi-targets,which is a big obstacle TCM’s popularity and application. In recent years, studying the mechanisms and identifying the novel ingredients in herbal medicines are becoming a hot spot for many researchers. Therefore,we obtained literature in PubMed and summarized the progress of TCM’s active ingredients and formulas in treating various liver diseases in 2019.Based on the literature, flavonoids, polysaccharides, saponins, and alkaloids,as well as Chinese medicine formulas, such as Ba-Bao pill and Yin-Chen-Hao decoction, have attracted much attention. In addition,we also focused on the application of new omics analysis techniques, such as metabolomics, network pharmacology, and other omics analyses in the study of TCM formulas.

文摘Identified as a treasure of natural herbal products, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has attracted extensive attention for their moderate treatment effect and lower side effect.Cardio-cerebrovascular diseases(CCVD)are a leading cause of death.TCM is used in China to prevent and treat CCVD.However, the complexity of TCM poses challenges in understanding the mechanisms of herbs at a systems-level,thus hampering the modernization and globalization of TCM.A novel model, termed traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology(TCMSP)analysis platform, which relies on the theory of systems pharmacology and integrates absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity(ADME/T)evaluation,target prediction and network/pathway analysis, was proposed to address these problems. Here,we review the development of systems pharmacology, the TCMSP approach and its applications in the investigations of CCVD and compare it with other methods.TCMSP assists in uncovering the mechanisms of action of herbal formulas used in treating CCVD.It can also be applied in ascertaining the different syndrome patterns of coronary artery disease, decoding the multi-scale mechanisms of herbs, and in understanding the mechanisms of herbal synergism.
