The rate of relat...Bulletins of China's National Sea Level show that the average rising rate of sea-levels in China is 3.3 mm/a over the past 40 years, with an obviously accelerated rising trend in the last decade. The rate of relative sea-level rise of the Yangtze River Delta reached >10 mm/a after considering the land subsidence, and Bohai Bay is even greater than 25 mm/a. The impact of the sea level rise to the coastal area will be greater in the coming years, so carrying out an assessment of this rising trend is urgent. This paper, taking the coastal area of Tianjin and Hebei as examples, comprehensively evaluates the impact of sea-level rise through multitemporal remote sensing shoreline interpretation, ground survey verification, elevation measurements for both seawall and coastal lowlands. The results show that the average elevation of the measured coastal areas of Tianjin and Hebei is about +4 m, and the total area of >100 km^2 is already below the present mean sea level. More than 270 km, ca. 31% of the total length of the seawall, cannot withstand a 1-in-100-year storm surge. Numerical simulations of the storm flooding on the west coast of Bohai Bay, for 1-in-50-years, 1-in-100-years, 1-in-200-years and 1-in-500-years, show that if there were no coastal dykes, the maximum flooding area would exceed 3000 km^2, 4000 km^2, 5300 km^2 and 7200 km^2, respectively. The rising sea has a direct and potential impact on the coastal lowlands of Tianjin and Hebei. Based on the latest development in international sea-level rise prediction research, this paper proposes 0.5 m, 1.0 m and 1.5 m as low, middle and high sea level rise scenarios by 2100 for the study area, and combines the land subsidence and other factors to the elevation of the existing seawall. Comprehensive evaluation results indicate that even in the case of a low scenario, the existing seawall will not be able to withstand a 1-in-100-years storm surge in 2030, and the potential flooding areas predicted by the model will become a reality in the near future. Therefore, the seawall design in the coastal areas of Tianjin and Hebei must consider the combined effects of land subsidence, sea level rise and the extreme storm surges caused by it.展开更多

Methods\ Two oligonucleotide primers were synthesized according to the reported sequence of \%meq\% gene an ideal oncogenic candidate and our previously determined sequence of BamHI L fragment of Marek′s disease herpesvirus (MDV), respectively. Reverse transcriptase PCR(RT PCR) assay was performed by using these primers and the mRNA as a template which was isolated from visceral lymphoblastoid tumors obtained from chickens artificially infected with strain Beijing 1 of oncogenic MDV. Southern blot molecular hybridization was further carried out to detect the product of RT PCR with digoxigenin labeled nucleotide probe from BamHI I2 and L fragment in the gene library of MDV strain GA, respectively. Results\ Two probes could simultaneously hybridize this cDNA amplified by RT PCR with a length of about 730 bp. In order to promote the application of Beijing-1 small satellite(BJ-1) remote sensing data,the multispectral and panchromatic images captured by BJ-1 were used for land cover classification in Pangzhuang Coal Mining.A...In order to promote the application of Beijing-1 small satellite(BJ-1) remote sensing data,the multispectral and panchromatic images captured by BJ-1 were used for land cover classification in Pangzhuang Coal Mining.An improved Intensity-Hue-Saturation(IHS) fusion algorithm is proposed to fuse panchromatic and multispectral images,in which intensity component and panchromatic image are combined using the weights determined by edge pixels in the panchromatic image identified by grey absolute correlation degree.This improved IHS fusion algorithm outper-forms traditional IHS fusion method to a certain extent,evidenced by its ability in preserving spectral information and enhancing spatial details.Dempster-Shafer(D-S) evidence theory was adopted to combine the outputs of three member classifiers to generate the final classification map with higher accuracy than that by any individual classifier.Based on this study,we conclude that Beijing-1 small satellite remote sensing images are useful to monitor and analyze land cover change and ecological environment degradation in mining areas,and the proposed fusion algorithms at data and decision levels can integrate the advantages of multi-resolution images and multiple classifiers,improve the overall accuracy and produce a more reliable land cover map.展开更多

A semi-supervised kernel fuzzy C-means (SSKFCM) algorithm is proposed to overcome these disadvantages of remote sensing image classification in this paper. The SSKFCM algorithm is achieved by introducing a kernel method and semi-supervised learning technique into the standard fuzzy C-means (FCM) algorithm. A set of Beijing-1 micro-satellite's multispectral images are adopted to be classified by several algorithms, such as FCM, kernel FCM (KFCM), semi-supervised FCM (SSFCM) and SSKFCM. The classification results are estimated by corresponding indexes. The results indicate that the SSKFCM algorithm significantly improves the classification accuracy of remote sensing images compared with the others.展开更多
According to the features of high-resolution panchromatic imagery of Beijing-1 small satellite,an approach to extracting information of residential areas is proposed in this paper based on Gabor texture segmentation.T...According to the features of high-resolution panchromatic imagery of Beijing-1 small satellite,an approach to extracting information of residential areas is proposed in this paper based on Gabor texture segmentation.The algorithm extracts the features in different directions and different scales by building the Gabor filter,uses cluster analysis of multiple features to segment the image,and performs the fusion processing based on morphological scale space.It solves the problems in image processing resulting from low contrast between remote sensing objects and background,the blurring of image edges and high noise.It has the benefits of direction selection and frequency selection with strong self-adaptive ability.Our experiments prove the effectiveness of the approach for extracting information of residential areas from Beijing-1 high-resolution imagery.展开更多
