A new analytical method is proposed for the determination of heroin based on a sequential perturbation caused by trace amounts of heroin in the Cu(Ⅱ)-catalyzed oscillating reaction between hydrogen peroxide and sodium thiocyanate in an alkaline medium with the aid of a continuous-flow stirred tank reactor(CSTR). The method relies on the linear relationship between the change in oscillation period of the system and the concentration of heroin, with a detecting limit of 4.0×10^(-7) mol/L. The calibration curve fits a linear equation very well when the concentration of heroin is in the range of 2.0×10^(-6)_1.2×10^(-5) mol/L(r=0.9971). This method features good precision(RSD=0.98%). The influences of temperature, injection point, flow rate and reaction variables on the oscillation period were investigated in detail and a possible mechanism of the performance of heroin in the Cu(Ⅱ)-catalyzed oscillating reaction system is also discussed. The proposed method opens a new avenue for the determination of heroin. 展开更多

Here we fabricated and demonstrated a self-oscillating structural gel network with the incorporation of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction. The structural polymer gel oscillates at a macroscopic level with remarkably faster kinetics compared to a normal gel of similar chemical compositions. The structural polymer gel also displays larger oscillating amplitude compared to the normal gel because of the increased diffusion of fluids surrounding the gel particles. This type of structural polymer gels can be harnessed to provide novel and feasible applications in a wide variety of fields, such as drug delivery, nanopatterning, chemical and biosensing, and photonic crystals. 展开更多

The effect of chemical reaction and periodic MHD parameters on the velocity field, temperature field and concentration field, skin-friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number have been studied and results are presented by graphically. 高频振荡通气联合西地那非治疗新生儿持续性肺动脉高压的有效性及不良反应分析

目的探讨高频振荡通气联合西地那非治疗新生儿持续性肺动脉高压(PPHN)的效果。方法选取2020年1月至2021年12月平邑县人民医院收治的80例PPHN新生儿作为研究对象,采用奇偶数法分为研究组与对照组,每组40例。对照组采用高频振荡通气治疗,... 目的探讨高频振荡通气联合西地那非治疗新生儿持续性肺动脉高压(PPHN)的效果。方法选取2020年1月至2021年12月平邑县人民医院收治的80例PPHN新生儿作为研究对象,采用奇偶数法分为研究组与对照组,每组40例。对照组采用高频振荡通气治疗,研究组采用高频振荡通气联合西地那非治疗。比较两组临床疗效、血气指标及不良反应发生率。结果研究组治疗总有效率为92.50%,高于对照组的72.50%,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组动脉血氧分压(PaO_(2))、动脉血氧饱和度(SaO_(2))水平均高于治疗前,动脉血二氧化碳分压(PaCO_(2))水平低于治疗前,且研究组PaO_(2)、SaO_(2)水平均高于对照组,PaCO_(2)水平低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组肺动脉压(PAP)均低于治疗前,心率(HR)均慢于治疗前,且研究组PAP低于对照组,HR慢于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),而两组治疗前后体循环血压(SBP)组内及组间比较差异无统计学意义。两组不良反应发生率比较差异无统计学意义。结论高频振荡通气联合西地那非治疗PPHN效果佳,可改善血气指标,且不增加不良反应发生风险。 展开更多

Stability Analysis for the Cellular Signaling Systems Composed of Two Phosphorylation-Dephosphorylation Cyclic Reactions

The regulatory mechanisms in cellular signaling systems have been studied intensively from the viewpoint that the malfunction of the regulation is thought to be one of the substantial causes of cancer formation. On the other hand, it is rather difficult to develop the theoretical framework for investigation of the regulatory mechanisms due to their complexity and nonlinearity. In this study, more general approach is proposed for elucidation of characteristics of the stability in cellular signaling systems by construction of mathematical models for a class of cellular signaling systems and stability analysis of the models over variation of the network architectures and the parameter values. The model system is formulated as regulatory network in which every node represents a phosphorylation-dephosphorylation cyclic reaction for respective constituent enzyme. The analysis is performed for all variations of the regulatory networks comprised of two nodes with multiple feedback regulation loops. It is revealed from the analysis that the regulatory networks become mono-stable, bi-stable, tri-stable, or oscillatory and that the negative mutual feedback or positive mutual feedback is favorable for multi-stability, which is augmented by a negatively regulated node with a positive auto-regulation. Furthermore, the multi-stability or the oscillation is more likely to emerge in the case of low value of the Michaelis constant than in the case of high value, implying that the condition of higher saturation levels induces stronger nonlinearity in the networks. The analysis for the parameter regions yielding the multi-stability and the oscillation clarified that the stronger regulation shifts the systems toward multi-stability. 展开更多

The mathematical modeling of chemical reactions that were described by nonlinear differential equations is performed. The steady states, the singular points characteristics, the nature of concentration oscillations in the reaction system are described. With increasing frequency and amplitude of low-frequency sonic waves (up to some critical value), we observed the cessation of the reaction. This observation offers an additional tool for controlling reaction rate by the external action of low-frequency vibrations. The conclusions of the work are obtained under certain assumptions. The exact determination of the critical conditions for changes in dynamics is beyond the scope of the problem. 展开更多

Our simulation results indicate the existence of alternative mediators such as ATP and 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate, in addition to already known acetaldehyde or pyruvate. Further, it is also suggested that the alternative intercellular communicator plays a more important role in the respect that these can synchronize oscillations instantaneously not only with difference phases but also with different periods. Relations between intercellular coupling and synchronization mechanisms are also analyzed and discussed by changing the values of parameters such as the diffusion coefficient and the cell density that can reflect in tercellular coupling strength. 展开更多
