Since April,China Cultural Center in Berlin has organized the LANTING Chinese Calligraphy Culture Salon,a series of events on the theme of Chinese calligraphy.It is hoped that through this event,the audience can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the magnificence of the art of Chinese calligraphy,experience and enjoy the beauty of Chinese calligraphy,and look forward to the bright future of China-Germany cultural exchanges and cooperation in calligraphy and ink art.

Aqueous K-ion battery incorporating environment-friendly organic compound and Berlin green

Aqueous rechargeable metal-ion batteries(ARMBs)hold intrinsic advantages of high safety,low cost and environmental benignity for large scale energy storage technologies.However,the research on aqueous Kion batteries(AKIBs)was hindered by limited materials.Herein,a novel AKIB was reported by employing environment-friendly 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride-derived polyimide(PNTCDA)as anode and Berlin green(FeHCF)as cathode.Both electrodes have high rate performance and excellent capacity retention during cycling.Kinetics researches verify the superior electrochemical property of PNTCDA in saturated KNO3 solution.In-situ XRD of FeHCF demonstrates the unique shift of peak position and negligible distortion of lattice during the insertion/extraction of K+.The AKIB exhibits an attractive energy density of 46.9 Wh/kg and a high capacity retention of 74%in 300 cycles.More importantly,the battery can reach a super-high power of 2079.1 W/kg with an energy density of 24.2 Wh/kg,ranking relatively high among the ARIMs.This system extends the use of polyimide and points a way of AKIBs for grid-scale energy storage.

Berlin Green Framework‑Based Gas Sensor for Room‑Temperature and High‑Selectivity Detection of Ammonia

Ammonia detection possesses great potential in atmosphere environmental protection,agriculture,industry,and rapid medical diagnosis.However,it still remains a great challenge to balance the sensitivity,selectivity,working temperature,and response/recovery speed.In this work,Berlin green(BG)framework is demonstrated as a highly promising sensing material for ammonia detection by both density functional theory simulation and experimental gas sensing investigation.Vacancy in BG framework offers abundant active sites for ammonia absorption,and the absorbed ammonia transfers sufficient electron to BG,arousing remarkable enhancement of resistance.Pristine BG framework shows remarkable response to ammonia at 50–110°C with the highest response at 80°C,which is jointly influenced by ammonia’s absorption onto BG surface and insertion into BG lattice.The sensing performance of BG can hardly be achieved at room temperature due to its high resistance.Introduction of conductive Ti3CN MXene overcomes the high resistance of pure BG framework,and the simply prepared BG/Ti3CN mixture shows high selectivity to ammonia at room temperature with satisfying response/recovery speed.

Berlin问卷在心房颤动合并阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停患者中的应用

目的探讨Berlin问卷对阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停进行护理评估与干预的有效性。方法对210例房颤住院患者采用Berlin问卷进行调查,根据调查结果将患者分为阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停高危组和低危组,并对55例患者行夜间睡眠呼吸监测。指导阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停高危组患者减轻体质量,禁烟酒,侧卧睡眠,避免服用镇静安眠药等护理干预。结果阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停高危组118例、低危组92例。55例行夜间睡眠呼吸监测的患者中41例确诊为阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停。Berlin问卷诊断阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停的敏感性为95.1%,特异性为35.7%,阳性预测值为81.2%,阴性预测值为31.2%。阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停高危组患者经护理干预后鼾声响度减低有效率达61.9%。结论Berlin问卷是房颤合并阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停患者较好的护理评估及指导护理干预工具。

Berlin问卷在阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征患者筛查中的应用

目的:探讨Berlin问卷在阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征患者筛查中的应用效果。方法:选取在我院进行过多导睡眠检测的238例受试者作为研究对象,其中对照组受试者110例,试验组受试者128例,所有受试者进行Berlin问卷调查,对比两组受试者的Berlin问卷分数。结果:对照组和试验组的Berlin问卷评分之间差异有统计学意义;Berlin问卷的灵敏度为46.6%,特异度为73.3%,阳性预测值为92.4%,阴性预测值为16.5%,Youden指数为0.199。结论:Berlin问卷在阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征筛查中有一定临床价值,值得推广应用。

The Berlin Patient

LAST December,the science journal Blood published a paper claiming a cure for HIV had been found.While the announcement breathes new life into the AIDS research community,it’s not without caveats. The paper’s authors’ evidence came in the form of a 44-year-old man referred to as "The Berlin Patient." An American living in Germany,the man,whose real name is Timothy Ray Brown, was diagnosed with HIV around age 30.He spent a decade following a traditional drug regimen for the disease with success; he was healthy and had a high T-cell count.Then,in 2006, Brown was diagnosed with acute leukemia.His doctor,Gero H(u|¨)tter,decided to use the cancer as an opportunity to also rid Brown of his HIV.

Asymmetric Mean Annual Temperature Wavelets Surface Air Layer of Berlin for 1701-2021

The regularities of the dynamics of the average annual temperature of Ber­lin from 1701 to 2021 are revealed.A total of 65 wavelets were received.The temperature has a high quantum certainty,and the change in the aver­age annual temperature of Berlin was identified by a model that contains only two components for prediction.The basis of the forecast at 320 years makes it possible to look into the future until the year 2340.The forecast confirms the conclusions made in the CMIP5 report on global warming.With an increase in the number of components in the model up to five,the forecast is possible only until 2060.Therefore,the model with only two components is workable.The trend is characterized by a modified Man­delbrot equation showing exponential growth with a high growth rate of 1.47421.The wave equation also has an amplitude in the form of the Man­delbrot law(in mathematics,the Laplace law,in biology,the Zipf-Pearl law,in econometrics,the Pareto law),when the exponential growth activity is equal to 1.For 1701,the period of oscillation was 2×60.33333≈120.7 years.By 2021,the period decreased and became equal to 87.6 years.The trend is such that by 2340 the period of oscillation will decrease to 30.2 years.Such an increase in fluctuations indicates an imbalance in climate disturbances in temperature in Berlin.For Berlin,the last three years are characterized by sharp decreases in the average annual temperature from 11.8℃ to 10.5℃,i.e.by 12.4% in 2021.Therefore,the forecast is still unstable,as a further decrease in the average annual temperature of Berlin in the near future may change the picture of the forecast.

Lithium promotes recovery of neurological function after spinal cord injury by inducing autophagy

Lithium promotes autophagy and has a neuroprotective effect on spinal cord injury（SCI）; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the effects of lithium and the autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine（3-MA） in a rat model of SCI. The rats were randomly assigned to the SCI, lithium, 3-MA and sham groups. In the 3-MA group, rats were intraperitoneally injected with 3-MA（3 mg/kg） 2 hours before SCI. In the lithium and 3-MA groups, rats were intraperitoneally injected with lithium（LiCl; 30 mg/kg） 6 hours after SCI and thereafter once daily until sacrifice. At 2, 3 and 4 weeks after SCI, neurological function and diffusion tensor imaging indicators were remarkably improved in the lithium group compared with the SCI and 3-MA groups. The Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan locomotor rating scale score and fractional anisotropy values were increased, and the apparent diffusion coefficient value was decreased. Immunohistochemical staining showed that immunoreactivities for Beclin-1 and light-chain 3 B peaked 1 day after SCI in the lithium and SCI groups. Immunoreactivities for Beclin-1 and light-chain 3 B were weaker in the 3-MA group than in the SCI group, indicating that 3-MA inhibits lithium-induced autophagy. Furthermore, NeuN＋ neurons were more numerous in the lithium group than in the SCI and 3-MA groups, with the fewest in the latter. Our findings show that lithium reduces neuronal damage after acute SCI and promotes neurological recovery by inducing autophagy. The neuroprotective mechanism of action may not be entirely dependent on the enhancement of autophagy, and furthermore, 3-MA might not completely inhibit all autophagy pathways.

Planning and Design Practices for Coping with Climate Change in Urban Parks in Berlin,Germany:A Case Study of EVFBS Cemetery Park

Urban parks,as a vital component of green infrastructure,significantly contribute to alleviating the impacts of climate change and enhancing the urban ecosystem.This paper examines the EVFBS Cemetery Park in Berlin as a case study to elucidate the significant role of centralized urban greening,exemplified by urban cemetery parks,in addressing the challenges posed by urban climate change.Through field research,data collection,and various methodologies,this study examines the specific planning and design measures employed to address climate-related challenges,including air purification,temperature regulation,and mitigation of the urban heat island effect.Additionally,it explores the multifaceted roles of urban parks in enhancing the quality of the urban ecological environment,promoting biodiversity,and providing recreational spaces for residents.The aim is to elucidate the significance of diverse urban parks within the climate regulation strategies of contemporary metropolises.By comparing and discussing relevant practices and successful experiences in climate-adaptive design from Berlin,and summarizing advanced concepts and planning experiences that may serve as valuable references for the development of urban green spaces in China,it examines the significance of urban park greening for climate regulation in contemporary cities.
