Binary sequence pairs are applied in many fields of radar, sonar or communication systems, in which signals with optimal periodic correlation are required. Several types of almost perfect binary sequence pairs of length T = 2q are constructed, where q is an odd number. These almost perfect binary sequence pairs are based on binary ideal sequence or binary ideal two-level correlation sequence pairs by using Chinese remainder theorem. For these almost perfect binary sequence pairs with good balanced property, their corresponding divisible difference set pairs(DDSPs) are also derived. 展开更多

Several geometric sequences have very low linear complexities when considered as sequences over GF(p), such as the binary sequences of period q^n - 1 constructed by Chan and Games [1-2] (q is a prime power p^m, p is an odd prime) with the maximal possible linear complexity q^n-1 when considered as sequences over GF(2). This indicates that binary sequences with high GF(2) linear complexities LC2 and low GF(p)-linear complexities LCp are not secure for use in stream ciphers. In this article, several lower bounds on the GF(p)-linear complexities of binary sequences is proved and the results are applied to the GF(p)-linear complexities of Blum-Blum-Shub, self-shrinking, and de Bruijn sequences. This paper analyzes Bernoulli’s binary sequences in the representation of empirical nonlinear events,analyzing the distribution of natural resources,population sizes and other variables that influence the possible outcomes of resource’s usage.Consider the event as a nonlinear system and the metrics of analysis consisting of two dependent random variables 0 and 1,with memory and probabilities in maximum finite or infinite lengths,constant and equal to 1/2 for both variables(stationary process).The expressions of the possible trajectories of metric space represented by each binary parameter remain constant in sequences that are repeated alternating the presence or absence of one of the binary variables at each iteration(symmetric or asymmetric).It was observed that the binary variables X_(1)and X_(2)assume on time T_(k)→∞specific behaviors(geometric variable)that can be used as management tools in discrete and continuous nonlinear systems aiming at the optimization of resource’s usage,nonlinearity analysis and probabilistic distribution of trajectories occurring about random events.In this way,the paper presents a model of detecting fixed-point attractions and its probabilistic distributions at a given population-resource dynamic.This means that coupling oscillations in the event occur when the binary variables X_(1)and X_(2)are limited as a function of time Y. 展开更多

The latter is an iterative procedure proposed for decoding BCH codes. However, there remains an unanswered question whether each of the iterative steps in the algorithm can be interpreted in terms of continued fractions. In this paper, we first introduce the so-called refined convergents to the continued fraction expansion of a binary sequence s, and then give a thorough answer to the question in the context of Massey’s linear feedback shift register synthesis algorithm which is equivalent to that of Berlekamp, and at last we prove that there exists a one- to-one correspondence between the n-th refined convergents and the length n segments. 展开更多

It is well known that the periodic performance of spread spectrum sequence heavily affects the correlative and secure characteristics of communication systems. The chaotic binary sequence is paid more and more attention since it is one kind of applicable spread spectrum sequences. However, there are unavoidable short cyclic problems for chaotic binary sequences in finite precision. The chaotic binary sequence generating methods are studied first. Then the short cyclic behavior of the chaotic sequences is analyzed in detail, which are generated by quantification approaches with finite word-length. At the same time, a chaotic similar function is defined for presenting the cyclic characteristics of the sequences. Based on these efforts, an improved method with scrambling control for generating chaotic binary sequences is proposed. To quantitatively describe the improvement of periodic performance of the sequences, an orthogonal estimator is also defined. Some simulating results are provided. From the theoretical deduction and the experimental results, it is concluded that the proposed method can effectively increase the period and raise the complexity of the chaotic sequences to some extent. 展开更多

In this paper, a multi-view gait based human recognition system using the fusion of two kinds of features is proposed.We use cross wavelet transform to extract dynamic feature and bipartite graph model to extract static feature which are coefficients of quadrature mirror filter(QMF)-graph wavelet filter bank. Feature fusion is done after normalization. For normalization of features, min-max rule is used and mean-variance method is used to find weights for normalized features. Euclidean distance between each feature vector and center of the cluster which is obtained by k-means clustering is used as similarity measure in Bayesian framework. Experiments performed on widely used CASIA B gait database show that, the fusion of these two feature sets preserve discriminant information. We report 99.90 % average recognition rate. 展开更多

A novel magnetic grating based on calibration was proposed.Two tracks,look-up track and index track,were used to realize absolute output.Magnets of look-up track were magnetized according to N-S-N-S,and magnetic field was sensed by 6 linear Hall sensors.Three signals whose phase shift is 120° were obtained through difference,and the offset of magnetic head in a signal period could be obtained by look-up table;Magnets of index track were magnetized according to pseudorandom binary sequence.Hall sensors were used to get the absolute offset of the signal period to which the magnetic head is belonged.The magnetic grating was calibrated using a higher resolution optical grating:output of optical grating and signals from magnetic grating were sampled at the same time and transmitted to computer,the relation between them could be got and stored in MCU for looking-up.The displacement was got according to Hall signals while in working state.A magnetic grating prototype was made,and it could realize absolute detecting in 2048 mm and the resolution could achieve to 0.001 mm.Its structure is simple,cost is very low and it is suitable for mass production. 展开更多

In this paper, an improved hybrid space vector pulse width modulation (HSVPWM) technique is proposed for IM (induction motor) drives. The basic principle involved in the proposed random pulse width modulation (RPWM) cuddled SVPWM is amalgamating the pre-calculated switching timings for various sections of hexagonal space vector boundary and the random selection of carrier between two triangular signals, in order to disband acoustic switching noise spectrum with improved fundamental component. The arbitrary selection between triangular carriers, which is decided by digital signal states (Low or High) of the linear feedback shift register (LFSR) based pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS) generator. The SVPWM offers a control degree of freedom in terms of positioning of vectors inside every sampling interval and hence it has six possible variants of the voltage vectors arrangements in each sector. The developed HSVPWM is thoroughly analyzed in using the MATLAB? based simulation for all SVPWM variants. From the simulation and experimental results viz. harmonic spectrum, harmonic spread factor (HSF), total harmonic distortion (THD) etc., and the superiority of the proposed scheme such as better utilization of DC bus and the randomization of the harmonic power are evidenced. The conformational and dynamic properties of polypropylene (PP) for both pure melts and blends with different chain tacticity were investigated by Monte Carlo simulation of isotactic (iPP), atactic (aPP) and syndiotactic (sPP) polypropylenes. The simulation of coarse-grained PP models was performed on a high coordination lattice incorporating short- and long-range intramolecular interactions from the rotational isomeric state (RIS) model and Lennard-Jones (LJ) potential function of propane pairs, respectively. The dynamics of chains in binary PP/PP mixture were investigated with the composition of C150H302 with different chain taciticity. The diffusion rates of PP with different stereochemistry are generally in the order as: iPP 〉 aPP 〉〉 sPP. For PP/PP blends with 50:50 wt% binary mixtures, immiscibility was observed when sPP was introduced into the mixtures. The diffusion rate of iPP and aPP became slower after mixing, while sPP diffuses significantly faster in the binary mixtures. The mobility of PP chains depends on both intramolecular (molecular size and chain stiffness) and intermolecular (chain packing) interactions. The effect of intramolecular contribution is greater than that of intermolecular contribution for iPP and aPP chains in binary mixtures. For sPP chain, intermolecular interaction has greater influence on the dynamics than intramolecular contribution. 展开更多

We present a catalog including 11 204 spectra of 10436 early-type emission-line stars from LAMOST DR2, among which 9752 early-type emission-line spectra are newly discovered. For these early- type emissionqine stars, we discuss the morphological and physical properties of their low-resolution spectra. In this spectral sample, the Hα emission profiles display a wide variety of shapes. Based on the Hα line profiles, these spectra are categorized into five distinct classes: single-peak emission, single-peak emission in absorption, double-peak emission, double-peak emission in absorption, and P-Cygni profiles. To better understand what causes the Hc~ line profiles, we divide these objects into four types from the perspective of physical classification, which include classical Be stars, Herbig Ae/Be stars, close binaries and spectra contaminated by H n regions. The majority of Herbig Ae/Be stars and classical Be stars are identified and separated using a (H-K, K-W1) color-color diagram. We also discuss 31 binary systems that are listed in the SIMBAD on-line catalog and identify 3600 spectra contaminated by HⅡ regions after cross-matching with positions in the Dubout-Crillon catalog. A statistical analysis of line profiles versus classifications is then conducted in order to understand the distribution of Hc~ profiles for each type in our sample. Finally, we also provide a table of 172 spectra with Fen emission lines and roughly calculate stellar wind velocities for seven spectra with P-Cygni profiles. 展开更多

Based on the Legendre-Sidelnikov sequence, a modified Legendre-Sidelnikov sequence was introduced. The exact value of the autocorrelation function was derived by strict computation. According to the values of the autocorrelation functions of the two Legendre-Sidelnikov sequences, it is proven that both of them have perfect pseudo-randomness. Furthermore, a detailed comparison between autocorrelation functions of the two Legendre-Sidelnikov sequences was deduced. It indicates that no matter which parameters are chosen, the modified sequence has pseudo-randomness as good as the primitive sequence, which is of great significance for applications. 展开更多

A 2.4-m communication link operating at 3.9 THz based on a terahertz quantum cascade laser and a terahertz quantum well photodetector (THz QWP) are introduced. The lumped electrical models of THz QWP for small signals are presented. A discussion of the bandwidth limit of the detecting circuit is presented. Using direct on off-keying modulation and intensity detection, the transmission of digital video signal with a data rate of 2.5 Mb/s is demonstrated. Pseudo-random binary sequences are transmitted to investigate the bit-error rate (BER) at different rates. Result shows the error free transmission when the rate is below 5 Mb/s. 展开更多
