The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system,space group C2/c with a = 25.883(2),b = 12.3320(13),c = 13.5951(16) ,β = 112.906(2),V = 3997.2(7) 3,Z = 2,Dc = 1.524 g/cm3,μ(MoKα) = 1.050mm-1,F(000) = 1852,S = 1.098,the final R = 0.0630 and wR = 0.1847 for 2542 reflections with Ⅰ 〉 2σ(Ⅰ). The centrosymmetric title complex contains a dimer in which two distorted octahedral Mn(Ⅲ) centers are bridged equatorially by phenolic oxygen of the Schiff base ligand. The units of the complex are linked via weak C-H···N hydrogen bonds,leading to the formation of 1D chains along the b axis. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molecular mass determination, conductance and magnetic moment measurements, IR, UV-visible, and ^13CNMR spectral studies, In these complexes, the Schiff base, 2mbfa, acts as neutral bidentate ligand by utilizing the carbonyl oxygen and azomethine nitrogen as donor sites. All the three nitrate ions are also coordinated unidentately with 7 coordination for the lanthanide(Ⅲ) ions with a tentative monocapped octahedral geometry for the complexes. The total of 14 new compounds which are insoluble in water and general organic media have been synthesized by the reaction of RE(Ac)<sub>3</sub>·XH<sub>2</sub>O (RE=rare earth elements except for Ce, Pm; X=2, 5, 8) with [H<sub>6</sub>CO<sub>2</sub>(Gc)<sub>5</sub>CS<sub>2</sub>] (Gc=<sup>-</sup>S<sub>2</sub>CNHCH<sub>2</sub>CO<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup>) in acetone/ water at room temperature. A Schiff base ligand 4-[indol-3-yl]-but-3-en-2-one benzoyl hydrazone (HL), and its four transition metal complexes (ML2,M=Cu(, Ni(, Zn( and Co() have been prepared and characterized by means of elemental analysis, EI-...A Schiff base ligand 4-[indol-3-yl]-but-3-en-2-one benzoyl hydrazone (HL), and its four transition metal complexes (ML2,M=Cu(, Ni(, Zn( and Co() have been prepared and characterized by means of elemental analysis, EI-MS, molar conductivity, IR, UV-Vis and 1H NMR. The results showed that HL as a bidentate ligand coordinated with transition metal ions to form four-coordination complexes. The antibacterial activity was studied by using the filter scraps diffusion method, and the results indicated that the ligand and the complexes had a low bacteriostatic activity against S. Aureu, P. Aeruginosa and E. Coli. The low in vitro antitumor activity of the title complexes was also observed by using MTT method against KB, A2780, Bel7402 and HELF.展开更多
