We performed a PubMed search for microRNA biomarke...Abnormal expression of microRNAs is connected to brain development and disease and could provide novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of bipolar disorder. We performed a PubMed search for microRNA biomarkers in bipolar disorder and found 18 original research articles on studies performed with human patients and published from January 2011 to June 2023. These studies included microRNA profiling in bloodand brain-based materials. From the studies that had validated the preliminary findings,potential candidate biomarkers for bipolar disorder in adults could be miR-140-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-21-3p,-330-3p,-345-5p in whole blood, miR-19b-3p,-1180-3p,-125a-5p, let-7e-5p in blood plasma, and miR-7-5p,-23b-5p,-142-3p,-221-5p,-370-3p in the blood serum. Two of the studies had investigated the changes in microRNA expression of patients with bipolar disorder receiving treatment. One showed a significant increase in plasma miR-134 compared to baseline after 4 weeks of treatment which included typical antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics, and benzodiazepines. The other study had assessed the effects of prescribed medications which included neurotransmitter receptorsite binders(drug class B) and sedatives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, and analgesics(drug class C) on microRNA results. The combined effects of the two drug classes increased the significance of the results for miR-219 and-29c with miR-30e-3p and-526b* acquiring significance. MicroRNAs were tested to see if they could serve as biomarkers of bipolar disorder at different clinical states of mania, depression, and euthymia. One study showed that upregulation in whole blood of miR-9-5p,-29a-3p,-106a-5p,-106b-5p,-107,-125a-3p,-125b-5p and of miR-107,-125a-3p occurred in manic and euthymic patients compared to controls, respectively, and that upregulation of miR-106a-5p,-107 was found for manic compared to euthymic patients. In two other studies using blood plasma,downregulation of miR-134 was observed in manic patients compared to controls, and dysregulation of miR-134,-152,-607,-633,-652,-155 occurred in euthymic patients compared to controls. Finally, microRNAs such as miR-34a,-34b,-34c,-137, and-140-3p,-21-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-134,-19b-3p were shown to have diagnostic potential in distinguishing bipolar disorder patients from schizophrenia or major depressive disorder patients, respectively. Further studies are warranted with adolescents and young adults having bipolar disorder and consideration should be given to using animal models of the disorder to investigate the effects of suppressing or overexpressing specific microRNAs.展开更多

The optimal L^2 time convergence rate for the global classical solution is obtained for a small initial perturbation of the constant equilibrium state. It is shown that due to the electric field, the difference of the charge densities tend to the equilibrium states at the optimal rate (1 + t)^-3/4 in L^2-norm, while the individual momentum of the charged particles converges at the optimal rate (1 + t)^-1/4 which is slower than the rate (1 + t)^-3/4 for the compressible Navier-Stokes equations (NS). In addition, a new phenomenon on the charge transport is observed regarding the interplay between the two carriers that almost counteracts the influence of the electric field so that the total density and momentum of the two carriers converges at a faster rate (1 + t)^-3/4+ε for any small constant ε 〉 0. The above estimates reveal the essential difference between the unipolar and the bipolar Navier-Stokes-Poisson systems.展开更多

BACKGROUND Bipolar disorder(BD)is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by mood swings.Psychosocial interventions,such as psychoeducation,play an essential role in promoting social rehabilitation and improving p...BACKGROUND Bipolar disorder(BD)is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by mood swings.Psychosocial interventions,such as psychoeducation,play an essential role in promoting social rehabilitation and improving pharmacological treatment.AIM To investigate the role of psychoeducation in BD.METHODS A systematic review of original studies regarding psychoeducation interventions in patients with BD and their relatives was developed.A systematic literature search was performed using the Medline,Scopus,and Lilacs databases.No review articles or qualitative studies were included in the analysis.There were no date restriction criteria,and studies published up to April 2021 were included.RESULTS A total of forty-seven studies were selected for this review.Thirty-eight studies included patients,and nine included family members.Psychoeducation of patients and family members was associated with a lower number of new mood episodes and a reduction in number and length of stay of hospitalizations.Psychoeducational interventions with patients are associated with improved adherence to drug treatment.The strategies studied in patients and family members do not interfere with the severity of symptoms of mania or depression or with the patient's quality of life or functionality.Psychoeducational interventions with family members do not alter patients'adherence to pharmacotherapy.CONCLUSION Psychoeducation as an adjunct strategy to pharmacotherapy in the treatment of BD leads to a reduction in the frequency of new mood episodes,length of hospital stay and adherence to drug therapy.展开更多
BACKGROUND Lifetime psychotic symptoms are present in over half of the patients with bipolar disorder(BD)and can have an adverse effect on its course,outcome,and treatment.However,despite a considerable amount of rese...BACKGROUND Lifetime psychotic symptoms are present in over half of the patients with bipolar disorder(BD)and can have an adverse effect on its course,outcome,and treatment.However,despite a considerable amount of research,the impact of psychotic symptoms on BD remains unclear,and there are very few systematic reviews on the subject.AIM To examine the extent of psychotic symptoms in BD and their impact on several aspects of the illness.METHODS The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses guidelines were followed.An electronic literature search of six English-language databases and a manual search was undertaken to identify published articles on psychotic symptoms in BD from January 1940 to December 2021.Combinations of the relevant Medical Subject Headings terms were used to search for these studies.Articles were selected after a screening phase,followed by a review of the full texts of the articles.Assessment of the methodological quality of the studies and the risk of bias was conducted using standard tools.RESULTS This systematic review included 339 studies of patients with BD.Lifetime psychosis was found in more than a half to two-thirds of the patients,while current psychosis was found in a little less than half of them.Delusions were more common than hallucinations in all phases of BD.About a third of the patients reported first-rank symptoms or mood-incongruent psychotic symptoms,particularly during manic episodes.Psychotic symptoms were more frequent in bipolar type I compared to bipolar type II disorder and in mania or mixed episodes compared to bipolar depression.Although psychotic symptoms were not more severe in BD,the severity of the illness in psychotic BD was consistently greater.Psychosis was usually associated with poor insight and a higher frequency of agitation,anxiety,and hostility but not with psychiatric comorbidity.Psychosis was consistently linked with increased rates and the duration of hospitalizations,switching among patients with depression,and poorer outcomes with mood-incongruent symptoms.In contrast,psychosis was less likely to be accompanied by a rapid-cycling course,longer illness duration,and heightened suicidal risk.There was no significant impact of psychosis on the other parameters of course and outcome.CONCLUSION Though psychotic symptoms are very common in BD,they are not always associated with an adverse impact on BD and its course and outcome.展开更多
Background Bipolar disorder is identified as a cause of severe damage to the physical,psychological and social functioning of adolescents and young adults.Aims The aim of this study is to ascertain the trends in the b...Background Bipolar disorder is identified as a cause of severe damage to the physical,psychological and social functioning of adolescents and young adults.Aims The aim of this study is to ascertain the trends in the burden of bipolar disorder among individuals aged 10-24 years at global,regional and national levels from 1990 to 2019.Methods The data analysed in this study were from the Global Burden of Diseases 2019.The numbers,rates per 100000 population,average annual percentage changes(AAPCs)of incidence,prevalence and years lived with disability(YLDs)of bipolar disorder are reported at the global,regional and national levels among individuals aged 10-24 years.Global trends by age,sex and Social Development Index(SDI)were further analysed.Results Globally,the incidence of bipolar disorder among adolescents and young adults increased from 79.21 per 100000 population(95%uncertainty interval(Ul):58.13 to 105.15)in 1990 to 84.97 per 100000 population(95%Ul:61.73 to 113.46)in 2019,AAPC 0.24(95%confidence interval(Cl):0.22 to 0.26).In the past three decades,there has been an increase in incidence,prevalence and YLDs in both males and females.The largest increase in incidence between 1990 and 2019 was observed in those aged 20-24 years old from 51.76 per 100000 population(95%Ul:26.81 to 87.20)in 1990 to 58.37 per 100000 population(95%UI:30.39 to 98.55)in 2019;AAPC 0.42(95%Cl:0.38 to 0.47).By the SDI quintile,the largest increase in incidence was observed in the middle SDl;however,the high SDI countries had the highest incidence.Regionally,the largest increase in incidence was observed in southern Latin America.At the national level,the most pronounced increase in the incidence was in Greenland.Conclusions The global increase in incidence among adolescents and young adults between 1990 and 2019 indicates that strategies to improve their mental health still need to be emphasised.展开更多

We investigated, by means of the techniques of symmetrizer and elaborate energy method, the Cauchy problem in R^3. Under the assumption that the initial values are close to a equilibrium solutions, we prove that the smooth solutions of this problem converge to a steady state as the time goes to the infinity. It is shown that the difference of densities of two carriers converge to the equilibrium states with the norm ||·||H^s-1, while the velocities and the electromagnetic fields converge to the equilibrium states with weaker norms than ||·||H^s-1. This phenomenon on the charge transport shows the essential difference between the unipolar Navier-Stokes-Maxwell and the bipolar Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system.展开更多

The circuit parameters, used in this paper, are fixed. When the systems, modulated by BSPWM and UDFSPWM, have the same switching frequency, the stabil- ity boundaries of the two systems are the same. However, when the equivalent switching frequencies of the two systems are the same, the BSPWM modulated system is more stable than the UDFSPWM modulated system. In addition, a convenient method of establishing the discrete-time model of piecewise smooth system is presented. Finally, the analytical results are confirmed by circuit simulations and experimental measurements.展开更多
BACKGROUND Recently,there has been a range of studies about smartphone-based interventions and monitoring for reducing symptoms of bipolar disorder(BD).However,their efficacy for BD remains unclear.AIM To compare the ...BACKGROUND Recently,there has been a range of studies about smartphone-based interventions and monitoring for reducing symptoms of bipolar disorder(BD).However,their efficacy for BD remains unclear.AIM To compare the effect of smartphone-based interventions and monitoring with control methods in treating patients with BD.METHODS A systematic literature search was performed on PubMed,Embase,Clinical trials,psycINFO,Web of Science,and Cochrane Library.Randomized clinical trials(RCTs)or single-group trials in which smartphone-based interventions and monitoring were compared with control methods or baseline in patients with symptoms of BD were included.Data were synthesized using a random-effects or a fixed-effects model to analyze the effects of psychological interventions and monitoring delivered via smartphone on psychiatric symptoms in patients with BD.The primary outcome measures were set for mania and depression symptoms.Subgroups were created to explore which aspects of smartphone interventions are relevant to the greater or lesser efficacy of treating symptoms.RESULTS We identified ten articles,including seven RCTs(985 participants)and three single-group trials(169 participants).Analysis of the between-group study showed that smartphone-based interventions were effective in reducing manic[g=-0.19,95%confidence interval(CI):-0.33 to-0.04,P=0.01]and depressive(g=-0.28,95%CI:-0.55 to-0.01,P<0.05)symptoms.In within-group analysis,smartphone-based interventions significantly reduced manic(g=0.17,95%CI:0.04 to 0.30,P<0.01)and depressive(g=0.48,95%CI:0.18 to 0.78)symptoms compared to the baseline.Nevertheless,smartphone-based monitoring systems significantly reduced manic(g=0.27,95%CI:0.02 to 0.51,P<0.05)but not depressive symptoms.Subgroup analysis indicated that the interventions with psychoeducation had positive effects on depressive(g=-0.62,95%CI:-0.81 to-0.43,P<0.01)and manic(g=-0.24,95%CI:-0.43 to-0.06,P=0.01)symptoms compared to the controlled conditions,while the interventions without psychoeducation did not(P>0.05).The contacts between therapists and patients that contributed to the implementation of psychological therapy reduced depression symptoms(g=-0.47,95%CI:-0.75 to-0.18,P=0.01).CONCLUSION Smartphone-based interventions and monitoring have a significant positive impact on depressive and manic symptoms of BD patients in between-group and within-group analysis.展开更多

The controller is developed to control fuel cell system and record the operation data by using data acquisition system. The controller can be applied to high performance stack and system to obtain the best performance. The t...The thin films were deposited on the glass substrates by an asymmetric bipolar pulsed-dc magnetron sputtering system using the Ca3Co4O9 and CaMnO3 Targets (n-type) targets of 60 mm diameter and 2.5 mm thickness. The targets were prepared from powder precursors, which obtained by a solid state reaction. Optical emissions from plasmas during sputter depositions of films were detected using a high resolution spectrometer. Thickness of thin film was estimated by Tolansky’s Fizeau fringe method and ellipsometic measurement. Crystal structures were studied from X-ray diffraction. The thermoelectric properties were assessed from Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity measurements at room temperature. The power factors were calculated. It was found that the optical emission spectrums showed that the Ca, Mn, Co and O atoms were sputtered from the targets onto glass substrates. As-deposited Ca-Co-O and Ca-Mn-O films thickness values were 0.435 ?m and 0.449 ?m, respectively. The X-ray diffraction patterns clearly showed amorphous nature of the as-deposited films. Determining thermoelectric properties of Ca-Co-O film gave Seebeck coefficient of 0.146 mV/K, electrical resistivity of 0.473Ω.cm, and power factor of 4.531 μW/m?K at room temperature. Ca-Mn-O film baring a high resistance was not the experimental determination of thermoelectric properties.展开更多

The literature suggests that lithium helps control and alleviate severe mood episodes, and olanzapine is effective for acute manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder. Achieving effectiveness or remission is better with Cariprazine. Lurasidone improves cognitive performance. Quetiapine improves sleep quality and co-morbid anxiety. Lamotrigine helps delay depression, mania, and mild manic episodes. Antidepressants are best used in conjunction with mood stabilizers. For co-morbid treatment, carbamazepine and lithium in combination are more effective in the treatment of psychotic mania. Co-morbid anxiety treatment considers adjunctive olanzapine or lamotrigine. Co-morbid bulimia treatment considers a mood stabilizer. Co-morbid fatigue treatment considers a dawn simulator. Ferroelectric materials are promising candidates for ultraviolet photodetectors due to their ferroelectric effect.In this work,a BaTiO_(3)/p-GaN/Au hybrid heterojunction-Schottky self-driven ultraviolet photodetector ...Ferroelectric materials are promising candidates for ultraviolet photodetectors due to their ferroelectric effect.In this work,a BaTiO_(3)/p-GaN/Au hybrid heterojunction-Schottky self-driven ultraviolet photodetector was fabricated with excellent bipolar photoresponse property.At 0 V bias,the direction of the photocurrent can be switched by flipping the depolarization field of BaTiO_(3),which allows the performance of photodetectors to be controlled by the ferroelectric effect.Meanwhile,a relatively large responsivity and a fast response speed can be also observed.In particular,when the depolarization field of BaTiO_(3) is in the same direction of the built-in electric field of the Au/p-GaN Schottky junction(up polarized state),the photodetector exhibits a high responsivity of 18 mA/W at 360 nm,and a fast response speed of<40 ms at 0 V.These findings pave a new way for the preparation of high-performance photodetectors with bipolar photocurrents.展开更多

文摘Food Waste(FW)is a pressing environmental concern that affects every country globally.About one-third of the food that is produced ends up as waste,contributing to the carbon footprint.Hence,the FW must be properly treated to reduce environmental pollution.This study evaluates a few available Food Waste Treatment(FWT)technologies,such as anaerobic digestion,composting,landfill,and incineration,which are widely used.A Bipolar Picture Fuzzy Set(BPFS)is proposed to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty that arise when converting a real-world problem to a mathematical model.A novel Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation-Stable Preference Ordering Towards Ideal Solution(CRITIC-SPOTIS)approach is developed to objectively analyze FWT selection based on thirteen criteria covering the industry’s technical,environmental,and entrepreneurial aspects.The CRITIC method is used for the objective analysis of the importance of each criterion in FWT selection.The SPOTIS method is adopted to rank the alternative hassle-free,following the criteria.The proposed model offers a rank reversal-free model,i.e.,the rank of the alternatives remains unaffected even after the addition or removal of an alternative.In addition,comparative and sensitivity analyses are performed to ensure the reliability and robustness of the proposed model and to validate the proposed result.
文摘Abnormal expression of microRNAs is connected to brain development and disease and could provide novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of bipolar disorder. We performed a PubMed search for microRNA biomarkers in bipolar disorder and found 18 original research articles on studies performed with human patients and published from January 2011 to June 2023. These studies included microRNA profiling in bloodand brain-based materials. From the studies that had validated the preliminary findings,potential candidate biomarkers for bipolar disorder in adults could be miR-140-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-21-3p,-330-3p,-345-5p in whole blood, miR-19b-3p,-1180-3p,-125a-5p, let-7e-5p in blood plasma, and miR-7-5p,-23b-5p,-142-3p,-221-5p,-370-3p in the blood serum. Two of the studies had investigated the changes in microRNA expression of patients with bipolar disorder receiving treatment. One showed a significant increase in plasma miR-134 compared to baseline after 4 weeks of treatment which included typical antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics, and benzodiazepines. The other study had assessed the effects of prescribed medications which included neurotransmitter receptorsite binders(drug class B) and sedatives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, and analgesics(drug class C) on microRNA results. The combined effects of the two drug classes increased the significance of the results for miR-219 and-29c with miR-30e-3p and-526b* acquiring significance. MicroRNAs were tested to see if they could serve as biomarkers of bipolar disorder at different clinical states of mania, depression, and euthymia. One study showed that upregulation in whole blood of miR-9-5p,-29a-3p,-106a-5p,-106b-5p,-107,-125a-3p,-125b-5p and of miR-107,-125a-3p occurred in manic and euthymic patients compared to controls, respectively, and that upregulation of miR-106a-5p,-107 was found for manic compared to euthymic patients. In two other studies using blood plasma,downregulation of miR-134 was observed in manic patients compared to controls, and dysregulation of miR-134,-152,-607,-633,-652,-155 occurred in euthymic patients compared to controls. Finally, microRNAs such as miR-34a,-34b,-34c,-137, and-140-3p,-21-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-134,-19b-3p were shown to have diagnostic potential in distinguishing bipolar disorder patients from schizophrenia or major depressive disorder patients, respectively. Further studies are warranted with adolescents and young adults having bipolar disorder and consideration should be given to using animal models of the disorder to investigate the effects of suppressing or overexpressing specific microRNAs.

文摘BACKGROUND Bipolar disorder(BD)is a severe mental illness characterized by significant mood swings.Effective drug treatment modalities are crucial for managing BD.AIM To analyze the current status and future trends of global research on BD drug treatment over the last decade.METHODS The Web of Science Core Collection database spanning from 2015 to 2024 was utilized to retrieve literature related to BD drug treatment.A total of 2624 articles were extracted.Data visualization and analysis were conducted using CiteSpace,VOSviewer,Pajek,Scimago Graphica,and R-studio bibliometrix to identify RESULTS The United States,China,and the United Kingdom have made the most significant contributions to research on BD drug treatment and formed notable research collaboration networks.The University of Pittsburgh,Massachusetts General Hospital,and the University of Michigan have been identified as the major research institutions in this field.The Journal of Affective Disorders is the most influential journal.A keyword analysis revealed research hotspots related to clinical symptoms,drug efficacy,and genetic mechanisms.A citation analysis identified the management guidelines published by Yatham et al in 2018 as the most cited paper.CONCLUSION This study provides a detailed overview of the field of BD drug treatment,highlighting key contributors,research hotspots,and future directions.The study findings can be employed as a reference for future research and policymaking,which may enable further development and optimization of BD pharmacotherapy.

文摘The bipolar Navier-Stokes-Poisson system (BNSP) has been used to simulate the transport of charged particles (ions and electrons for instance) under the influence of electrostatic force governed by the self-consistent Poisson equation. The optimal L^2 time convergence rate for the global classical solution is obtained for a small initial perturbation of the constant equilibrium state. It is shown that due to the electric field, the difference of the charge densities tend to the equilibrium states at the optimal rate (1 + t)^-3/4 in L^2-norm, while the individual momentum of the charged particles converges at the optimal rate (1 + t)^-1/4 which is slower than the rate (1 + t)^-3/4 for the compressible Navier-Stokes equations (NS). In addition, a new phenomenon on the charge transport is observed regarding the interplay between the two carriers that almost counteracts the influence of the electric field so that the total density and momentum of the two carriers converges at a faster rate (1 + t)^-3/4+ε for any small constant ε 〉 0. The above estimates reveal the essential difference between the unipolar and the bipolar Navier-Stokes-Poisson systems.

文摘The isentropic bipolar compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson (BNSP) system is investigated in R3 in the present paper. The optimal time decay rate of global strong solution is established. When the regular initial data belong to the Sobolev space H l(R3) ∩ B˙ s 1,1 (R3) with l ≥ 4 and s ∈ (0, 1], it is shown that the momenta of the charged particles decay at the optimal rate (1+t) 1 4 s 2 in L2 -norm, which is slower than the rate (1+t) 3 4 s 2 for the compressible Navier-Stokes (NS) equations [14]. In particular, a new phenomenon on the charge transport is observed. The time decay rate of total density and momentum was both (1 + t) 3 4 due to the cancellation effect from the interplay interaction of the charged particles.

文摘BACKGROUND Bipolar disorder(BD)is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by mood swings.Psychosocial interventions,such as psychoeducation,play an essential role in promoting social rehabilitation and improving pharmacological treatment.AIM To investigate the role of psychoeducation in BD.METHODS A systematic review of original studies regarding psychoeducation interventions in patients with BD and their relatives was developed.A systematic literature search was performed using the Medline,Scopus,and Lilacs databases.No review articles or qualitative studies were included in the analysis.There were no date restriction criteria,and studies published up to April 2021 were included.RESULTS A total of forty-seven studies were selected for this review.Thirty-eight studies included patients,and nine included family members.Psychoeducation of patients and family members was associated with a lower number of new mood episodes and a reduction in number and length of stay of hospitalizations.Psychoeducational interventions with patients are associated with improved adherence to drug treatment.The strategies studied in patients and family members do not interfere with the severity of symptoms of mania or depression or with the patient's quality of life or functionality.Psychoeducational interventions with family members do not alter patients'adherence to pharmacotherapy.CONCLUSION Psychoeducation as an adjunct strategy to pharmacotherapy in the treatment of BD leads to a reduction in the frequency of new mood episodes,length of hospital stay and adherence to drug therapy.
文摘BACKGROUND Lifetime psychotic symptoms are present in over half of the patients with bipolar disorder(BD)and can have an adverse effect on its course,outcome,and treatment.However,despite a considerable amount of research,the impact of psychotic symptoms on BD remains unclear,and there are very few systematic reviews on the subject.AIM To examine the extent of psychotic symptoms in BD and their impact on several aspects of the illness.METHODS The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses guidelines were followed.An electronic literature search of six English-language databases and a manual search was undertaken to identify published articles on psychotic symptoms in BD from January 1940 to December 2021.Combinations of the relevant Medical Subject Headings terms were used to search for these studies.Articles were selected after a screening phase,followed by a review of the full texts of the articles.Assessment of the methodological quality of the studies and the risk of bias was conducted using standard tools.RESULTS This systematic review included 339 studies of patients with BD.Lifetime psychosis was found in more than a half to two-thirds of the patients,while current psychosis was found in a little less than half of them.Delusions were more common than hallucinations in all phases of BD.About a third of the patients reported first-rank symptoms or mood-incongruent psychotic symptoms,particularly during manic episodes.Psychotic symptoms were more frequent in bipolar type I compared to bipolar type II disorder and in mania or mixed episodes compared to bipolar depression.Although psychotic symptoms were not more severe in BD,the severity of the illness in psychotic BD was consistently greater.Psychosis was usually associated with poor insight and a higher frequency of agitation,anxiety,and hostility but not with psychiatric comorbidity.Psychosis was consistently linked with increased rates and the duration of hospitalizations,switching among patients with depression,and poorer outcomes with mood-incongruent symptoms.In contrast,psychosis was less likely to be accompanied by a rapid-cycling course,longer illness duration,and heightened suicidal risk.There was no significant impact of psychosis on the other parameters of course and outcome.CONCLUSION Though psychotic symptoms are very common in BD,they are not always associated with an adverse impact on BD and its course and outcome.

文摘Background Bipolar disorder is identified as a cause of severe damage to the physical,psychological and social functioning of adolescents and young adults.Aims The aim of this study is to ascertain the trends in the burden of bipolar disorder among individuals aged 10-24 years at global,regional and national levels from 1990 to 2019.Methods The data analysed in this study were from the Global Burden of Diseases 2019.The numbers,rates per 100000 population,average annual percentage changes(AAPCs)of incidence,prevalence and years lived with disability(YLDs)of bipolar disorder are reported at the global,regional and national levels among individuals aged 10-24 years.Global trends by age,sex and Social Development Index(SDI)were further analysed.Results Globally,the incidence of bipolar disorder among adolescents and young adults increased from 79.21 per 100000 population(95%uncertainty interval(Ul):58.13 to 105.15)in 1990 to 84.97 per 100000 population(95%Ul:61.73 to 113.46)in 2019,AAPC 0.24(95%confidence interval(Cl):0.22 to 0.26).In the past three decades,there has been an increase in incidence,prevalence and YLDs in both males and females.The largest increase in incidence between 1990 and 2019 was observed in those aged 20-24 years old from 51.76 per 100000 population(95%Ul:26.81 to 87.20)in 1990 to 58.37 per 100000 population(95%UI:30.39 to 98.55)in 2019;AAPC 0.42(95%Cl:0.38 to 0.47).By the SDI quintile,the largest increase in incidence was observed in the middle SDl;however,the high SDI countries had the highest incidence.Regionally,the largest increase in incidence was observed in southern Latin America.At the national level,the most pronounced increase in the incidence was in Greenland.Conclusions The global increase in incidence among adolescents and young adults between 1990 and 2019 indicates that strategies to improve their mental health still need to be emphasised.

文摘This paper is concerned with the bipolar compressible Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system for plasmas. We investigated, by means of the techniques of symmetrizer and elaborate energy method, the Cauchy problem in R^3. Under the assumption that the initial values are close to a equilibrium solutions, we prove that the smooth solutions of this problem converge to a steady state as the time goes to the infinity. It is shown that the difference of densities of two carriers converge to the equilibrium states with the norm ||·||H^s-1, while the velocities and the electromagnetic fields converge to the equilibrium states with weaker norms than ||·||H^s-1. This phenomenon on the charge transport shows the essential difference between the unipolar Navier-Stokes-Maxwell and the bipolar Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system.

文摘This paper is concerned with the quasi-neutral limit of the bipolar NavierStokes-Poisson system. It is rigorously proved, by introducing the new modulated energy functional and using the refined energy analysis, that the strong solutions of the bipolar Navier-Stokes-Poisson system converge to the strong solution of the compressible NavierStokes equations as the Debye length goes to zero. Moreover, if we let the viscous coefficients and the Debye length go to zero simultaneously, then we obtain the convergence of the strong solutions of bipolar Navier-Stokes-Poisson system to the strong solution of the compressible Euler equations.

文摘Bipolar Interval-valued neutrosophic set is another generalization of fuzzy set,neutrosophic set,bipolar fuzzy set and bipolar neutrosophic set and thus when applied to the optimization problem handles uncertain data more efficiently and flexibly.Current work is an effort to design a flexible optimization model in the backdrop of interval-valued bipolar neutrosophic sets.Bipolar interval-valued neutrosophic membership grades are picked so that they indicate the restriction of the plausible infringement of the inequalities given in the problem.To prove the adequacy and effectiveness of the method a unified system of sustainable medical healthcare supply chain model with an uncertain figure of product complaints is used.Time,quality and cost are considered as satisfaction level to choose best supplier for medicine procurement.The proposed model ensures 99%satisfaction for cost reduction,63%satisfaction for the quality of product and 64%satisfaction for total time taken in medicine supply chain.

文摘By deriving the discrete-time models of a digitally controlled H-bridge inverter system modulated by bipolar sinu- soidal pulse width modulation (BSPWM) and unipolar double-frequency sinusoidal pulse width modulation (UDFSPWM) respectively, the performances of the two modulation strategies are analyzed in detail. The circuit parameters, used in this paper, are fixed. When the systems, modulated by BSPWM and UDFSPWM, have the same switching frequency, the stabil- ity boundaries of the two systems are the same. However, when the equivalent switching frequencies of the two systems are the same, the BSPWM modulated system is more stable than the UDFSPWM modulated system. In addition, a convenient method of establishing the discrete-time model of piecewise smooth system is presented. Finally, the analytical results are confirmed by circuit simulations and experimental measurements.

文摘BACKGROUND Recently,there has been a range of studies about smartphone-based interventions and monitoring for reducing symptoms of bipolar disorder(BD).However,their efficacy for BD remains unclear.AIM To compare the effect of smartphone-based interventions and monitoring with control methods in treating patients with BD.METHODS A systematic literature search was performed on PubMed,Embase,Clinical trials,psycINFO,Web of Science,and Cochrane Library.Randomized clinical trials(RCTs)or single-group trials in which smartphone-based interventions and monitoring were compared with control methods or baseline in patients with symptoms of BD were included.Data were synthesized using a random-effects or a fixed-effects model to analyze the effects of psychological interventions and monitoring delivered via smartphone on psychiatric symptoms in patients with BD.The primary outcome measures were set for mania and depression symptoms.Subgroups were created to explore which aspects of smartphone interventions are relevant to the greater or lesser efficacy of treating symptoms.RESULTS We identified ten articles,including seven RCTs(985 participants)and three single-group trials(169 participants).Analysis of the between-group study showed that smartphone-based interventions were effective in reducing manic[g=-0.19,95%confidence interval(CI):-0.33 to-0.04,P=0.01]and depressive(g=-0.28,95%CI:-0.55 to-0.01,P<0.05)symptoms.In within-group analysis,smartphone-based interventions significantly reduced manic(g=0.17,95%CI:0.04 to 0.30,P<0.01)and depressive(g=0.48,95%CI:0.18 to 0.78)symptoms compared to the baseline.Nevertheless,smartphone-based monitoring systems significantly reduced manic(g=0.27,95%CI:0.02 to 0.51,P<0.05)but not depressive symptoms.Subgroup analysis indicated that the interventions with psychoeducation had positive effects on depressive(g=-0.62,95%CI:-0.81 to-0.43,P<0.01)and manic(g=-0.24,95%CI:-0.43 to-0.06,P=0.01)symptoms compared to the controlled conditions,while the interventions without psychoeducation did not(P>0.05).The contacts between therapists and patients that contributed to the implementation of psychological therapy reduced depression symptoms(g=-0.47,95%CI:-0.75 to-0.18,P=0.01).CONCLUSION Smartphone-based interventions and monitoring have a significant positive impact on depressive and manic symptoms of BD patients in between-group and within-group analysis.
文摘The simultaneous traumatic rupture of the patellar tendon and the quadricipital tendon is a rare lesion entity. We report the case of a bipolar rupture of the extensor knee system in a young adult following sports traumatism. Magnetic Resonance Imaging allowed the assessment of associated lesions. The management of this “floating” kneecap was surgical associated with rehabilitation. A functional assessment at 02 years of follow-up was performed. The functional prognosis is related on the one hand to the difficulties of positioning of the patella and on the other hand to the associated lesions (meniscus-ligamentous knee injuries).
文摘It is important for the fuel cell integrated movable system to operate voltage and current using safety control technology. In order to work at the convenient condition of the fuel cell system, high performance fuel cell stack with replaceable fiber bipolar plate should be arranged with the integrated subsystem and appropriate working process. The parameters which affect the performance of PEMFC consisting of relative humidity, reaction temperature, gas inlet temperature, gas inlet pressure, and hydrogen and air flow rate. This study is to develop the integrated movable system on distributed power generation and backup power application, such as oxidant supply system, fuel supply system, heat management system, water management system, and power conditioning system. It comprises a novel PLC (Programmable Logic Control) system and human-machine interface. The controller is developed to control fuel cell system and record the operation data by using data acquisition system. The controller can be applied to high performance stack and system to obtain the best performance. The easy-taken high capacity hydrogen barrel embedded into steel plate of this movable system and more convenient than other fuel cell system.
文摘The thin films were deposited on the glass substrates by an asymmetric bipolar pulsed-dc magnetron sputtering system using the Ca3Co4O9 and CaMnO3 Targets (n-type) targets of 60 mm diameter and 2.5 mm thickness. The targets were prepared from powder precursors, which obtained by a solid state reaction. Optical emissions from plasmas during sputter depositions of films were detected using a high resolution spectrometer. Thickness of thin film was estimated by Tolansky’s Fizeau fringe method and ellipsometic measurement. Crystal structures were studied from X-ray diffraction. The thermoelectric properties were assessed from Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity measurements at room temperature. The power factors were calculated. It was found that the optical emission spectrums showed that the Ca, Mn, Co and O atoms were sputtered from the targets onto glass substrates. As-deposited Ca-Co-O and Ca-Mn-O films thickness values were 0.435 ?m and 0.449 ?m, respectively. The X-ray diffraction patterns clearly showed amorphous nature of the as-deposited films. Determining thermoelectric properties of Ca-Co-O film gave Seebeck coefficient of 0.146 mV/K, electrical resistivity of 0.473Ω.cm, and power factor of 4.531 μW/m?K at room temperature. Ca-Mn-O film baring a high resistance was not the experimental determination of thermoelectric properties.
文摘This paper is a systematic review of the treatment of bipolar disorder: a systematic Google Scholar search aimed at treatment guidelines and clinical trials. The search for treatment guidelines returned 375 papers and was last performed from June 1, 2022 to August 30, 2022. The literature suggests that lithium helps control and alleviate severe mood episodes, and olanzapine is effective for acute manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder. Achieving effectiveness or remission is better with Cariprazine. Lurasidone improves cognitive performance. Quetiapine improves sleep quality and co-morbid anxiety. Lamotrigine helps delay depression, mania, and mild manic episodes. Antidepressants are best used in conjunction with mood stabilizers. For co-morbid treatment, carbamazepine and lithium in combination are more effective in the treatment of psychotic mania. Co-morbid anxiety treatment considers adjunctive olanzapine or lamotrigine. Co-morbid bulimia treatment considers a mood stabilizer. Co-morbid fatigue treatment considers a dawn simulator. For diet, pay attention to a healthy diet, patients can ingest probiotics and pay attention to the balance of fatty acids.

文摘Ferroelectric materials are promising candidates for ultraviolet photodetectors due to their ferroelectric effect.In this work,a BaTiO_(3)/p-GaN/Au hybrid heterojunction-Schottky self-driven ultraviolet photodetector was fabricated with excellent bipolar photoresponse property.At 0 V bias,the direction of the photocurrent can be switched by flipping the depolarization field of BaTiO_(3),which allows the performance of photodetectors to be controlled by the ferroelectric effect.Meanwhile,a relatively large responsivity and a fast response speed can be also observed.In particular,when the depolarization field of BaTiO_(3) is in the same direction of the built-in electric field of the Au/p-GaN Schottky junction(up polarized state),the photodetector exhibits a high responsivity of 18 mA/W at 360 nm,and a fast response speed of<40 ms at 0 V.These findings pave a new way for the preparation of high-performance photodetectors with bipolar photocurrents.

文摘In the realm of proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs),the bipolar plates(BPs)are indispensable and serve pivotal roles in distributing reactant gases,collecting current,facilitating product water removal,and cooling the stack.Metal BPs,characterized by outstanding manufacturability,cost-effectiveness,higher power density,and mechanical strength,are emerging as viable alternatives to traditional graphite BPs.The foremost challenge for metal BPs lies in enhancing their corrosion resistance and conductivity under acidic conditions,necessitating the application of various coatings on their surfaces to ensure superior performance.This review summarizes and compares recent advancements in the research of eight distinct types of coatings for BPs in PEMFCs,including noble metal,carbide,ni-tride,and amorphous carbon(a-C)/metal compound composite coatings.The various challenges encountered in the manufacturing and fu-ture application of these coatings are also delineated.
