To assess the safety and efficacy of aggressive antihypertensive therapies in acute ICH patients, we carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and VIP database up to July 2014 were searched. H igh-quality randomized controlled trials were included. Low-quality trials were excluded. Serious adverse events were defined as the primary outcome. The secondary outcomes were hematoma enlargement (HE) at 24 h after onset, mortality, and favorable clinical outcome at 90 days. Results: Four high-quality trials involving a total of 1427 patients met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. Odds ratios (ORs) of primary outcome was 0.96 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.82-1.13, P = 0.61). ORs of HE at 24 h after onset, mortality and favorable clinical outcome at 90 days were 0.91 (95% CI: 0.72-1.17, P = 0.47), 0.97 (95% CI: 0.79-1.20, P = 0.81), 1.13 (95% CI: 0.98-1.30. P = 0.09) respectively. Conclusions: Aggressive BP management policies are safe and might have a potency of reducing HE and improving clinical outcome.展开更多

The study of tumor metastasis has important meaning for prolonging patients' survival and elevating their quality of life, but no really ideal prevention and treatment method has been found so far. Recent researches showed that tumor metastasis is correlated with platelet aggregation and blood hyperviscosity manner. Therefore, the early application of surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and biological therapies, in combination with Chinese medicine therapy for activating blood circulation and removing stasis (ABCRS) may be, after all, an effective approach. ABCRS therapy is an important therapy of Chinese medicine, which, composed of several methods like smoothening blood flow in vessels, promoting blood circulation and dispersing stagnant blood, could influence tumor metastasis to different extents, and could coordinate with some other Chinese medicine therapeutic methods like supplementing qi, promoting qi, clearing heat, removing toxic substances, warming meridian, dispelling wind, eliminating dampness, nourishing yin, dissolving sputum, relieving stagnancy, emptying viscerals, etc. The effect and acting mechanism of ABCRS on tumor metastasis is summarized in this paper and its bi-directional regulatory effects discussed as well.展开更多

Methods: In the present study, methods of evidence-based medicine, triple-centers, single-blindness, randomization and control were used. A total of 100 cases of CSVAT patients were randomized into acupuncture plus massage (acu-massage) group (n = 38), acupuncture group (n = 32) and massage group (n = 30). Acupoints used were Fengchi (风池, GB 20), cervical Jiaji (颈夹脊 EX-B 2), Baihui (百会 GV 20), and the methods of massage used were kneading-rolling, adhesion-separating and acupoint-digital pressing, topical digital pressing and rubbing, traction-extending and mild palm-rubbing. The treatment was conducted once daily, with 7 sessions being a therapeutic course and continuously for 2 courses. Changes of peak velocity (Vp), end-diastolic velocity (Vd), mean velocity (Vm) of blood flow of the vertebral artery (VA) and basilar artery (BA), etc were detected before and after the treatment by using transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasonography. Resuits: After the treatment, the abnormally low Vp of both VA and BA in acu-massage, acupuncture and massage groups, Vm of VA in acu-massage and acupuncture groups, Vm of BA in acu-massage and massage groups, and Vd of VA and BA in the 3 groups all increased significantly in comparison with their own pretreatment( P 〈 0.05, 0.01), and the therapeutic effects of acu-massage group in the 3 indexes were significantly superior to those of acupuncture group and/or massage group (P 〈0.05, 0.01 ). The abnormally increased Vp of VA in acu-massage and acupuncture groups, Vm of VA in the 3 groups, and Vd of VA in acu-massage and massage groups decreased obviously after the treatment in comparison with their own pretreatment (P 〈 0.05, 0.01), and the therapeutic effects of acu-massage group were significantly superior to those of acupuncture and/or massage group in the 3 indexes of VA (P〈0.05, 0.01). In addition, the abnormally increased Vp, Vm and Vd of BA in the 3 groups showed a similar tendency. No significant differences between acupuncture and massage groups in 3 indexes ( P 〉0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic effects of acupuncture plus massage is significantly superior to those of simple acupuncture and simple massage therapies in improving abnormal blood dynamics of vertebral and basilar arteries in CSVAT patients.展开更多

Methods: The RBClife span of 30 normal human subjects and 30patients with CAA were measured by sir labelled technique before and after TCM--WMtherapy. The morphology and distribution ofRBC membrane protein granules were observed by freeze fracture etching and transmission electron microscope. Results: The halflife of erythrocytes (RBC TI/2)was shortenedin CAA cases and there was a significant difference compared to healthy control (P <0. 01). After therapy, the RBC life span prolonged and approached the normal level. Before treatment, there existed abnormal in morphology, decrease in amount and uneven indistribution of protein granules in protoplasmicface (PF) and extracellular face (EF) of RBCmembrane. After treatment, the protein granules of RBC membrane was improved and approached to control. Conclusions: The morphology, amount, quality and distribution ofRBC membrane protein granule were closelyrelated to its life span. The therapeutic effectof TCM--WM was better than that of WMalone and it had a function both in stabilizingmembrane protein and extending the RBC lifespan.展开更多

After 1-10 sessions of treatment (once daily), all the 600 cases were effective, with 510 cases (85%) being cured, 83 cases (13.8%) remarkably effective, and with 7 cases (1.2%) effective.
文摘Liver transplantation and blood purification therapy, including plasmapheresis, hemodiafiltration, and bioartificial liver support, are the available treatments for patients with severe hepatic failure.Bioartificial liver support,in which living liver tissue is used to support hepatic function, has been anticipated as an effective treatment for hepatic failure. The two mainstream systems developed for bioartificial liver support are extracorporeal whole liver perfusion(ECLP)and bioreactor systems.Comparing various types of bioartificial liver in view of function, safety, and operability,we concluded that the best efficacy can be provided by the ECLP system. Moreover,in our subsequent experiments comparing ECLP and apheresis therapy,ECLP offers more ammonia metabolism than HD and HF.In addition,ECLP can compensate amino acid imbalance and can secret bile.A controversial point with ECLP is the procedure is labor intensive, resulting in high costs. However,ECLP has the potential to reduce elevated serum ammonia levels of hepatic coma patients in a short duration. When these problems are solved, bioartificial liver support, especially ECLP,can be adopted as an option in ordinary clinical therapy to treat patients with hepatic failure.

文摘Background: The influence of blood pressure (BP) lowering on intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) patients is unclear. Conclusions: Aggressive BP management policies are safe and might have a potency of reducing HE and improving clinical outcome.

文摘Metastasis is one of the specificities of late stage tumor and also a lethal factor often encountered. The effect and acting mechanism of ABCRS on tumor metastasis is summarized in this paper and its bi-directional regulatory effects discussed as well.
文摘To observe the effect of acupuncture combined with massage on blood flow velocity of the vertebro-basilar artery in cervical spondylosis of vertebral arterial type (CSVAT) patients. Conclusion: The therapeutic effects of acupuncture plus massage is significantly superior to those of simple acupuncture and simple massage therapies in improving abnormal blood dynamics of vertebral and basilar arteries in CSVAT patients.
文摘Objective: To explore the mechanism ofintegrated traditional Chinese and Westernmedicine (TCM--WM ) therapy on chronicaplastic anemia (CAA). The therapeutic effectof TCM--WM was better than that of WMalone and it had a function both in stabilizingmembrane protein and extending the RBC lifespan.

文摘Objective: To confirm the efficacy and safety of Wufuxinnaoqing Soft Capsule (五福心脑清胶囊, WSC) in the treatment of chronic stable angina (blood stasis syndrome). Methods: A multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with superiority test was designed. A total of 240 patients with chronic stable angina (blood stasis syndrome) from multiple centers were randomly and equally assigned to the treatment group and the control group. Based on standard treatment of Western medicine, the treatment group was given WSC, while the control group was given WSC mimetic, both for 12 weeks. Observed indicators included the efficacy in angina, the efficacy in Chinese medicine syndrome, the withdrawal or reduce rate of nitroglycerin and routine safety indices. Results: After 12-week treatment, the significant effective rate and total effective rate of the treatment group were significantly better than those of the control group (23.5% vs. 9.2%, 64.7% vs. 30.8%), respectively, with statistically significant difference (P〈0.01). After 12-week treatment, the decreased points and the decreased rate of angina symptom score in the treatment group were better than in the control group (5.1±4.2 points vs. 2.8± 3.5 points, 44.9% ±37.2% vs. 25.4%±30.7%) respectively, with significant difference (P〈0.01). After 12-week treatment, the significant effective rate and total effective rate of the treatment group were better than the control group (respectively, 30.3% vs. 15.0%, 67.2% vs. 45.0%, P〈0.01). After 8- or 12-week treatment, the decreased points and the decreased rate of Chinese medicine syndrome score in the treatment group were better than the control group (P〈0.05 or P〈0.01). After 12-week treatment, nitroglycerin withdrawal rate and the withdrawal or reduce rate in treatment group were better than the control group (P〈0.01). On safety evaluation, the incidence of adverse events (7.563% vs. 7.500%) and the incidence of cardiovascular events (0.840% vs. 0.000%) in the treatment group were similar with the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P〉0.05). Couch=SlOB: In treatment of chronic stable angina (blood stasis syndrome), WSC can reduce angina attacks and consumption of nitroglycerin, decrease angina severity degree, effectively relieve the blood stasis syndromes, such as chest pain, chest tightness, palpitations, dark purple tongue and other symptoms. Besides, adverse events and cardiovascular adverse events in the treatment group and the control group showed no difference. All shows that the drug is safe and effective.
