By using dynamic programming method,this paper finds that a combination of immediately delayed retirement and accumulated pension system should be implemented if based on the goal of maximizing output,while a combination of undelayed retirement and accumulated pension system should be implemented if based on the goal of maximizing utility.In view of the substitutability of family utility and social output,and synthesizing reform resistance,a combination of gradually delayed retirement and accumulative pension system should be implemented.Certainly,with efficiency of factors unchanged,with the decrease of working-age population caused by the alternation of population generation,the increase of pension burden and the disappearance of capital dividend,a sharp decline of future economic growth cannot be changed no matter what kind of pension and retirement systems are implemented.Therefore,on the premise of stabilizing short-term economic situation,we should look for a new engine for economic development by system reform in the long run. 展开更多

There are many differences and challenges that employers face while managing employees in the current work force. Our present day workforce is made up of a diverse group of people: Matures, also known as Veterans (age 55+), Baby Boomers (age 45-54), Generation X (age 35-44) and Generation Y also known as Millennial (age 18-34). The differences and challenges among these groups will be evident when reviewing recognition and praise, managerial styles, subordinate responses to generational leadership. Companies are stepping back and looking more holistically at how to develop programs and deploy technology that will speak to four distinct generations in the workforce (Sprague, 2008). Each generation has their own definition of work ethic, responsibility, and performance. The best way to deal with the multi-generations is coming up with ways that make everybody feel like they are members of a team, thus helping them to learn how to develop a better way of communication than what exists between them now. If everybody is a part of a team, then they are all sharing the benefits that the other generations can bring to the table, making them a strong entity. Matures and boomers can become mentors to the X and Y's, and the X and Y's can then share and impart their knowledge of technology to the Matures and boomers. Companies in today's workplace must learn a better way to understand the values of the four generations, for it is very important in understanding and guiding these people in the workplace. Without this proper understanding, the guidance and alliance that managers are hoping to achieve will be even longer in the making and then one, possibly two, whole generations will be gone from the workforce and their knowledge and skill gone as well. 展开更多

It focused on the 2016 revi... Japan experienced the retrenchment of the welfare state. The purpose of this study was to deepen the understanding of the impact these policy changes had on citizens’ organized activities. It focused on the 2016 revision of Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) system, which urged citizens to organize activities to support the frail seniors in their communities. Researchers conducted interviews in the Tokyo from February-March 2016. The subjects were six local officers in charge of LTCI implementation and 10 community members who led the voluntary activities organized as a response to the 2016 systemic revision. This study found that those leading voluntary activities were primarily baby boomers, who were born between 1947 and 1949. They were actively involved in “new voluntary activity movements” in the 1980s, as interacting with a wide range of citizens. However, as they reached the age of 65 or older, they became more focused on developing a comfortable space and collaborating with those similar to them: those who were college graduates, middle- to upper-class, and held white-collar jobs. The disparity based on income level seemed to be emphasized also because the way the 2016 revision of LTCI system was designed. 展开更多

In this study, the reasons of setting up a fashion web site and its barriers are investigated. Besides, the behavior and attitude of Xers on the internet fashion marketing and the impact of fashion web site (FWS) on Xers was examined. As the internet fashion marketing in Hong Kong is not a full fiedged marketing tool to Xers in the mean time, recommendations about how to design an attractive FWS to Xers have been given. 展开更多
