Its ther...The use of carbon dioxide as a working fluid has been the subject of extensive studies in recent years, particularly in the field of refrigeration where it is at the heart of research to replace CFC and HCFC. Its thermodynamic properties make it a fluid of choice in the efficient use of energy at low and medium temperatures in engine cycles. However, the performance of transcritical CO2 cycles weakens under high temperature and pressure conditions, especially in refrigeration systems;On the other hand, this disadvantage becomes rather interesting in engine cycles where CO2 can be used as an alternative to the organic working fluid in small and medium-sized electrical systems for low quality or waste heat sources. In order to improve the performance of systems operating with CO2 in the field of refrigeration and electricity production, research has made it possible to develop several concepts, of which this article deals with a review of the state of the art, followed by analyzes in-depth and critical of the various developments to the most recent modifications in these fields. Detailed discussions on the performance and technical characteristics of the different evolutions are also highlighted as well as the factors affecting the overall performance of the systems studied. Finally, perspectives on the future development of the use of CO2 in these different cycles are presented.展开更多

Objective:To explore the value of using the venous-arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure difference and the arterial-venous oxygen content difference ratio(ΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2))as targets to guide early tissue hypop...Objective:To explore the value of using the venous-arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure difference and the arterial-venous oxygen content difference ratio(ΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2))as targets to guide early tissue hypoperfusion in sepsis in plateau areas.Methods:90 sepsis patients admitted to the Third People’s Hospital of Xining and Golmud People’s Hospital from June 2017 to December 2022 were selected as the research subjects,and they were divided into the Scv_(O2)(central venous oxygen saturation)group and theΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)group,with 45 cases in each group.The two groups were treated with early shock resuscitation according to different protocols.The hemodynamic characteristics of the two groups of patients before and after resuscitation were observed,and the volume responsiveness was evaluated.The ROC(receiver operating characteristic)curve was used to analyze the significance ofΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2),Scv_(O2),lactate,lactate clearance,and urine output in evaluating patient prognosis and the correlation betweenΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)and the above indicators was explored.Results:Compared with before resuscitation,after fluid resuscitation,the heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP),central venous pressure(CVP),cardiac index(CI),lactate,lactate clearance rate,and urine output of the two groups of patients were significantly improved(P<0.05);in terms of therapeutic effect,the 28-day mortality rate,6-hour fluid balance,and lactic acid clearance of theΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)group were better than the Scv_(O2)group.The ROC characteristic curve showed that theΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)value can effectively predict the prognosis of patients(AUC=0.907,sensitivity was 97%,specificity was 72.4%,and critical value was 1.84).ΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)significantly correlated with Scv_(O2),lactic acid,and lactic acid clearance rate.Conclusion:TheΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)value can be used to guide fluid resuscitation in early hypoperfusion in sepsis in plateau areas,improve patients’hemodynamics,reduce lactate indicators,and increase urine output.ΔP_(CO2)/Ca-v_(O2)level>1.84 can effectively improve patient prognosis.展开更多

The release of CO2 dissolved in the ocean into the atmosphere depends on the atmospheric temper...Changes in CO2 and temperature are correlated, but it is difficult to observe which is the cause and which is the effect. The release of CO2 dissolved in the ocean into the atmosphere depends on the atmospheric temperature. However, examining the relationship between changes in CO2 caused by other phenomena and temperature is difficult. Studies of soil respiration (Rs) since the late 20th century have shown that CO2 emissions from soil respiration (Rs) are overwhelmingly greater than CO2 emissions from fossil fuel combustion. This is also noted in the IPCC carbon budget assessment. In this paper, the dependences of Rs on temperature, time, latitude, precipitation, seasons, etc., were investigated using the latest NASA database. The changes in temperature and Rs correlated well. There is also a good correlation between Rs and CO2 generation. Therefore, an increase in temperature results in an increase in CO2. On the other hand, there is no evidence other than model calculations that an increase in anthropogenic CO2 is mainly linked to a rise in temperature. The idea that global warming is caused by anthropogenic CO2 production is still a hypothesis. For these reasons, the relationship between global warming and anthropogenic CO2 should be reconsidered based on physical evidence without preconceptions. .展开更多
The merits of CO2 capture and storage to the environmental stability of our world should not be underestimated as emissions of greenhouse gases cause serious problems.It represents the only technology that might rid o...The merits of CO2 capture and storage to the environmental stability of our world should not be underestimated as emissions of greenhouse gases cause serious problems.It represents the only technology that might rid our atmosphere of the main anthropogenic gas while allowing for the continuous use of the fossil fuels which still power today’s world.Underground storage of CO2 involves the injection of CO2 into suitable geological formations and the monitoring of the injected plume over time,to ensure containment.Over the last two or three decades,attention has been paid to technology developments of carbon capture and sequestration.Therefore,it is high time to look at the research done so far.In this regard,a high-level review article is required to provide an overview of the status of carbon capture and sequestration research.This article presents a review of CO2 storage technologies which includes a background of essential concepts in storage,the physical processes involved,modeling procedures and simulators used,capacity estimation,measuring monitoring and verification techniques,risks and challenges involved and field-/pilot-scale projects.It is expected that the present review paper will help the researchers to gain a quick knowledge of CO2 sequestration for future research in this field.展开更多
BACKGROUND Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease(EGID)is a disorder characterized by infiltration of eosinophils causing mucosal damage and dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract.The endoscopic findings of eosinoph...BACKGROUND Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease(EGID)is a disorder characterized by infiltration of eosinophils causing mucosal damage and dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract.The endoscopic findings of eosinophilic enteritis(EoN),an EGID variant,are nonspecific and occasionally difficult to diagnose.In contrast,chronic enteropathy associated with SLCO2A1(CEAS)is a chronic persistent small intestinal disorder characterized by endoscopic findings such as multiple oblique and circular ulcers.CASE SUMMARY We report the case of a 10-year-old boy who had suffered abdominal pain and fatigue for the preceding 6 mo.He was referred to our institute for investigation of suspected gastrointestinal bleeding because of severe anemia with hypoproteinemia and positive fecal human hemoglobin.The upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopic findings were normal;however,double-balloon small bowel endoscopy showed multiple oblique and circular ulcers with discrete margins and mild constriction of the intestinal lumen in the ileum.The findings were highly consistent with CEAS,but urine prostaglandin metabolites were within normal limits,and no previously reported mutations in the SLCO2A1 gene were identified.Histological evaluation demonstrated moderate to severe eosinophilic infiltration localized to the small intestine suggesting a diagnosis of EoN.Clinical remission was maintained with montelukast and a partial elemental diet,but emergent surgery for bowel obstruction due to small intestinal stenosis was performed two years after the initial treatment.CONCLUSION EoN should be considered in the differential diagnosis of CEAS-like small intestinal ulcerative lesions and normal urinary prostaglandin metabolite levels.展开更多
Under the Paris agreement, China has committed to reducing CO_2 emissions by 60%–65% per unit of GDP by 2030.Since CO_2 emissions from coal-fired power plants currently account for over 30% of the total carbon emissi...Under the Paris agreement, China has committed to reducing CO_2 emissions by 60%–65% per unit of GDP by 2030.Since CO_2 emissions from coal-fired power plants currently account for over 30% of the total carbon emissions in China, it will be necessary to mitigate at least some of these emissions to achieve this goal. Studies by the International Energy Agency(IEA) indicate CCS technology has the potential to contribute 14% of global emission reductions, followed by 40% of higher energy efficiency and 35% of renewable energy, which is considered as the most promising technology to significantly reduce carbon emissions for current coal-fired power plants.Moreover, the announcement of a Chinese national carbon trading market in late 2017 signals an opportunity for the commercial deployment of CO_2 capture technologies.Currently, the only commercially demonstrated technology for post-combustion CO_2 capture technology from power plants is solvent-based absorption. While commercially viable, the costs of deploying this technology are high. This has motivated efforts to develop more affordable alternatives, including advanced solvents, membranes,and sorbent capture systems. Of these approaches, advanced solvents have received the most attention in terms of research and demonstration. In contrast, sorbent capture technology has less attention, despite its potential for much lower energy consumption due to the absence of water in the sorbent. This paper reviews recent progress in the development of sorbent materials modified by amine functionalities with an emphasis on material characterization methods and the effects of operating conditions on performance. The main problems and challenges that need to be overcome to improve the competitiveness of sorbent-based capture technologies are discussed.展开更多
Germinal matrix hemorrhage is one of the leading causes of morbidity,mortality,and acquired infantile hydrocephalus in preterm infants in the United States,with little progress made in its clinical management.Blood cl...Germinal matrix hemorrhage is one of the leading causes of morbidity,mortality,and acquired infantile hydrocephalus in preterm infants in the United States,with little progress made in its clinical management.Blood clots have been shown to elicit secondary brain injury after germinal matrix hemorrhage,by disrupting normal cerebrospinal fluid circulation and absorption after germinal matrix hemorrhage causing post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus development.Current evidence suggests that rapid hematoma resolution is necessary to improve neurological outcomes after hemorrhagic stroke.Various articles have demonstrated the beneficial effects of stimulating the polarization of microglia cells into the M2 phenotype,as it has been suggested that they play an essential role in the rapid phagocytosis of the blood clot after hemorrhagic models of stroke.N-formyl peptide receptor 2(FPR2),a G-protein-coupled receptor,has been shown to be neuroprotective after stroke.FPR2 activation has been associated with the upregulation of phagocytic macrophage clearance,yet its mechanism has not been fully explored.Recent literature suggests that FPR2 may play a role in the stimulation of scavenger receptor CD36.Scavenger receptor CD36 plays a vital role in microglia phagocytic blood clot clearance after germinal matrix hemorrhage.FPR2 has been shown to phosphorylate extracellular-signal-regulated kinase 1/2(ERK1/2),which then promotes the transcription of the dual-specificity protein phosphatase 1(DUSP1)gene.In this review,we present an intrinsic outline of the main components involved in FPR2 stimulation and hematoma resolution after germinal matrix hemorrhage.展开更多
目的探讨白三烯受体拮抗剂(leukotriene receptor antagonists,LTRA)与ATP结合盒亚家族C1(ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1,ABCC1)基因rs119774位点、溶质载体有机阴离子转运蛋白家族成员2B1(solute carrier organic anion ...目的探讨白三烯受体拮抗剂(leukotriene receptor antagonists,LTRA)与ATP结合盒亚家族C1(ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1,ABCC1)基因rs119774位点、溶质载体有机阴离子转运蛋白家族成员2B1(solute carrier organic anion transporter family member 2B1,SLCO2B1)基因rs12422149位点的单核苷酸多态性(single nucleotide polymorphism,SNP)治疗汉族儿童支气管哮喘疗效的相关性。方法选取2019年4月至2021年12月于福建中医药大学附属厦门市中医院就诊的4~13岁汉族支气管哮喘患儿100例为研究对象,采用一代测序法对患儿的ABCC1基因rs119774位点、SLCO2B1基因rs12422149位点进行检测,分析比较2个位点的SNP分布情况。入组患儿均应用LTRA进行治疗,分别于治疗前与治疗12周时进行肺通气功能及脉冲震荡功能检测,并评估临床症状控制水平,分析患儿疗效与SNP的相关性。统计学方法采用t检验、χ^(2)检验。结果治疗前与治疗12周后,ABCC1基因rs119774位点CC型哮喘患儿应用孟鲁司特钠第1秒用力呼气容积(forced expiratory volume in the first second,FEV_(1))[(87.0±16.5)与(93.2±15.1)L,t=-2.071,P=0.038]、峰值呼气流速(peak expiratory flow,PEF)[(77.1±16.9)与(86.5±16.6)L/s,t=-3.233,P=0.001]和25%肺活量的呼气流速(forced expiratory flow 25,FEF25)[(69.6±18.8)与(78.1±19.9)L/s,t=-1.985,P=0.047]均有明显提高,脉冲震荡各项指标显著改善(P<0.05)。治疗后SLCO2B1基因rs12422149位点AA型肺功能指标PEF高于治疗前[(79.0±16.0)与(93.0±9.4)L/s,t=-2.547,P=0.011],治疗后GG型肺功能各指标显著高于治疗前(P<0.05)。ABCC1治疗前后控制率[59%(59/100)与78%(78/100),78%(78/100),χ^(2)=20.964,P<0.001];治疗前后SLCO2B1基因rs119774位点AA型、AG型、GG型的控制率分别为[59%(59/100)与78%(78/100),78%(78/100),χ^(2)=20.964,P<0.001]、[53%(8/15)与80%(12/15),93%(14/15)χ^(2)=12.786,P=0.002]与[56%(23/41)与78%(32/41),78%(32/41),χ^(2)=6.583,P=0.037]与[73%(32/44)与77%(34/44),73%(32/44),χ^(2)=6.471,P=0.039],均显著改善。结论LTRA治疗汉族支气管哮喘患儿与ABCC1、SLCO2B1基因SNP的效果存在相关性。展开更多

文摘Germinal matrix hemorrhage is one of the leading causes of morbidity,mortality,and acquired infantile hydrocephalus in preterm infants in the United States,with little progress made in its clinical management.Blood clots have been shown to elicit secondary brain injury after germinal matrix hemorrhage,by disrupting normal cerebrospinal fluid circulation and absorption after germinal matrix hemorrhage causing post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus development.Current evidence suggests that rapid hematoma resolution is necessary to improve neurological outcomes after hemorrhagic stroke.Various articles have demonstrated the beneficial effects of stimulating the polarization of microglia cells into the M2 phenotype,as it has been suggested that they play an essential role in the rapid phagocytosis of the blood clot after hemorrhagic models of stroke.N-formyl peptide receptor 2(FPR2),a G-protein-coupled receptor,has been shown to be neuroprotective after stroke.FPR2 activation has been associated with the upregulation of phagocytic macrophage clearance,yet its mechanism has not been fully explored.Recent literature suggests that FPR2 may play a role in the stimulation of scavenger receptor CD36.Scavenger receptor CD36 plays a vital role in microglia phagocytic blood clot clearance after germinal matrix hemorrhage.FPR2 has been shown to phosphorylate extracellular-signal-regulated kinase 1/2(ERK1/2),which then promotes the transcription of the dual-specificity protein phosphatase 1(DUSP1)gene.In this review,we present an intrinsic outline of the main components involved in FPR2 stimulation and hematoma resolution after germinal matrix hemorrhage.
文摘目的探讨白三烯受体拮抗剂(leukotriene receptor antagonists,LTRA)与ATP结合盒亚家族C1(ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1,ABCC1)基因rs119774位点、溶质载体有机阴离子转运蛋白家族成员2B1(solute carrier organic anion transporter family member 2B1,SLCO2B1)基因rs12422149位点的单核苷酸多态性(single nucleotide polymorphism,SNP)治疗汉族儿童支气管哮喘疗效的相关性。方法选取2019年4月至2021年12月于福建中医药大学附属厦门市中医院就诊的4~13岁汉族支气管哮喘患儿100例为研究对象,采用一代测序法对患儿的ABCC1基因rs119774位点、SLCO2B1基因rs12422149位点进行检测,分析比较2个位点的SNP分布情况。入组患儿均应用LTRA进行治疗,分别于治疗前与治疗12周时进行肺通气功能及脉冲震荡功能检测,并评估临床症状控制水平,分析患儿疗效与SNP的相关性。统计学方法采用t检验、χ^(2)检验。结果治疗前与治疗12周后,ABCC1基因rs119774位点CC型哮喘患儿应用孟鲁司特钠第1秒用力呼气容积(forced expiratory volume in the first second,FEV_(1))[(87.0±16.5)与(93.2±15.1)L,t=-2.071,P=0.038]、峰值呼气流速(peak expiratory flow,PEF)[(77.1±16.9)与(86.5±16.6)L/s,t=-3.233,P=0.001]和25%肺活量的呼气流速(forced expiratory flow 25,FEF25)[(69.6±18.8)与(78.1±19.9)L/s,t=-1.985,P=0.047]均有明显提高,脉冲震荡各项指标显著改善(P<0.05)。治疗后SLCO2B1基因rs12422149位点AA型肺功能指标PEF高于治疗前[(79.0±16.0)与(93.0±9.4)L/s,t=-2.547,P=0.011],治疗后GG型肺功能各指标显著高于治疗前(P<0.05)。ABCC1治疗前后控制率[59%(59/100)与78%(78/100),78%(78/100),χ^(2)=20.964,P<0.001];治疗前后SLCO2B1基因rs119774位点AA型、AG型、GG型的控制率分别为[59%(59/100)与78%(78/100),78%(78/100),χ^(2)=20.964,P<0.001]、[53%(8/15)与80%(12/15),93%(14/15)χ^(2)=12.786,P=0.002]与[56%(23/41)与78%(32/41),78%(32/41),χ^(2)=6.583,P=0.037]与[73%(32/44)与77%(34/44),73%(32/44),χ^(2)=6.471,P=0.039],均显著改善。结论LTRA治疗汉族支气管哮喘患儿与ABCC1、SLCO2B1基因SNP的效果存在相关性。
