High nitrogen stainless steel with nitrogen content of 0.75%was welded by gas metal arc welding with Ar-N_(2)-O_(2)ternary shielding gas.The effect of the ternary shielding gas on the retention and improvement of nitrogen content in the weld was identified.Surfacing test was conducted first to compare the ability of O_(2)and CO_(2)in prompting nitrogen dissolution.The nitrogen content of the surfacing metal with O_(2)is slightly higher than CO_(2).And then AreN_(2)-O_(2)shielding gas was applied to weld high nitrogen stainless steel.After using N_(2)-containing shielding gas,the nitrogen content of the weld was improved by 0.1 wt%.As N_(2)continued to increase,the increment of nitrogen content was not obvious,but the ferrite decreased from the top to the bottom.When the proportion of N_(2)reached 20%,a full austenitic weld was obtained and the tensile strength was improved by 8.7%.Combined with the results of surfacing test and welding test,it is concluded that the main effect of N_(2)is to inhibit the escape of nitrogen and suppress the nitrogen diffusion from bottom to the top in the molten pool. 展开更多

High nitrogen stainless steel(HNS) is a nickel free austenitic stainless steel that is used as a structural component in defence applications for manufacturing battle tanks as a replacement of the existing armour grade steel owing to its low cost, excellent mechanical properties and better corrosion resistance.Conventional fusion welding causes problems like nitrogen desorption, solidification cracking in weld zone, liquation cracking in heat affected zone, nitrogen induced porosity and poor mechanical properties.The above problems can be overcome by proper selection and procedure of joining process. In the present work, an attempt has been made to correlate the microstructural changes with mechanical properties of fusion and solid state welds of high nitrogen steel. Shielded metal arc welding(SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding(GTAW), electron beam welding(EBW) and friction stir welding(FSW) processes were used in the present work. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and electron backscatter diffraction were used to characterize microstructural changes. Hardness, tensile and bend tests were performed to evaluate the mechanical properties of welds. The results of the present investigation established that fully austenitic dendritic structure was found in welds of SMAW. Reverted austenite pools in the martensite matrix in weld zone and unmixed zones near the fusion boundary were observed in GTA welds. Discontinuous ferrite network in austenite matrix was observed in electron beam welds.Fine recrystallized austenite grain structure was observed in the nugget zone of friction stir welds.Improved mechanical properties are obtained in friction stir welds when compared to fusion welds. This is attributed to the refined microstructure consisting of equiaxed and homogenous austenite grains. 展开更多

The microstructure in the weld metals for HQ130 + QJ63 high strength steels,which are welded by Ar-CO_2 gas shielded metal arc welding,was analyzed by means of microscope and scan electron microscope(SEM).The relative content of different microstructure was evaluated with XQF-2000 micro-image analyzer.The effect of acicular ferrite content on the impact toughness was also studied.The test results indicated that the main microstructure in the weld metals of HQ130 + QJ63 high strength steels is acicular ferrite and a few pro-eutectic ferrite on the boundary of original austenite grain.Near the fusion zone there are columnar grains whose direction coefficient(X) is 3.22,but the microstructure in the center of the weld metal is isometric grain,whose direction coefficient X = 1.In order to avoid welding crack and improve welding technology the weld heat input should be strictly controlled in 10-16 kJ/cm.Thus,the main microstructure in the weld metals is fine acicular ferrite and the content of pro-eutectic ferrite is limited.The impact toughness in the weld metals of HQ130+ QJ63 steels can be ensured and can meet the requirements for application in engineering and machinery. 展开更多

In a 3-D closed geological body, in case “structural expanding” inside is induced by stress, it can produce the pressure difference between the expanding cell and surrounding rock, then generate a pumping force directed toward the cell and accelerate the directional flow of fluid in the strata. The structural style and conditions of gas reservoir-formation in the Kuqa depression are favorable to the structural pumping. According to similarity principle, a physical modeling of structure formation and gas filling process of the Kela 2 gas field has justified the occurrence of structural pumping and its important role in gas-reservoir formation with high efficiency under the compressive and well-sealed circumstance. Therefore, authors propose that structural pumping is an important mechanism of gas reservoir-formation with high efficiency in the Kuqa depression. 展开更多

采用缆式焊丝进行CO_2气体保护焊,利用焊接电弧多信息采集系统拍摄了缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊电弧形态图像;用数码相机拍摄无缺陷焊缝横截面照片.基于实验结果分析了缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊工艺机理.建立了缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊有限元... 采用缆式焊丝进行CO_2气体保护焊,利用焊接电弧多信息采集系统拍摄了缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊电弧形态图像;用数码相机拍摄无缺陷焊缝横截面照片.基于实验结果分析了缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊工艺机理.建立了缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊有限元模型,对该工艺下温度场、应力-应变场进行了数值模拟.结果表明,缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊具有束状电弧,其由多弧旋转耦合而成,热流密度更为集中;当缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊单位长度焊缝的热输入为单焊丝CO_2气体保护焊的2.9倍时,其熔深与熔宽分别为单丝CO_2气体保护焊的4倍和1.7倍;在相同焊接条件下,缆式焊丝CO_2气体保护焊热效率与埋弧焊相近,残余应力场分布与埋弧焊相似,但熔深大于埋弧焊,熔宽、热循环峰值温度、热影响区宽度均小于埋弧焊.焊缝横断面的计算结果与实验结果吻合较好,证明了所建热源模型的准确性. 展开更多
