Promote the All-round Development of China's Human Right Cause in the New Era——Summary of the Symposium on “Deeply Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and Adhering to the Chinese Path of Human Rights Development”

On November 8, 2022, the symposium on “Deeply Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 20thCPC National Congress and Adhering to the Chinese Path of Human Rights Development” was held by the China Society for Human Rights Studies in Beijing. Focusing on “the leadership of the CPC and human rights development”, “adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times and human rights theories in contemporary China”, “the Chinese path to modernization and the new form of human rights civilization”, “Chinese human rights solutions and global human rights governance”, “making a better China’s story of advancing human rights and constructing human rights discourse system”, and other topics, the participants reached broad consensus after discussion, and the symposium achieved fruitful results.

The BRI in the Report at 19th CPC National Congress and Its Relationship with SDGs in UN 2030 Agenda

The Belt and Road Initiative(BRI) is China's important development agenda being stressed several times in the Report at 19 th CPC National Congress. This paper is aimed to analyze the links between China's BRI and the UN 2030 Agenda especially how the former can contribute to the implementation of the SDGs. First,the article discusses how the BRI is delivered in the Report at 19 th CPC National Congress. Secondly,the paper examines the relationship between BRI and SDGs in terms of their spirit and principle,and discusses the priorities of the BRI. Thirdly,it explores the links between the priorities of the BRI and the 17 SDGs in 2030 Agenda while roughly discussing the role of PC SD in them.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012,the“ecological civilization”concept has been steadily promoted.China has shown great resolution in green development and has achieved significant results.The awareness of environmental governance has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people;the reform continues to accelerate,and the ecological and environmental governance work has been thriving.This paper takes CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure)as the research database and analyzes published ecological and environmental governance documents since 2012.It draws scientific conclusions and suggestions through data analysis,providing references for people to understand the current situation and hot spots of ecological and environmental governance research since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China （CPC）, the system for the legal protection of human rignts under socialism with Chinese characteristics has experienced innowtive development. In particular, the Decision on Certain Key Issues on Comprehensively Deepening Reform, which was adopted by the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, has made major reform arrangements related to the system and mechanisms for the legal protection of human rights under socialism with Chinese characteristics. Taking the theoretical and practical innovations since the 18th CPC National Congress in the protection of human rights as its perspective, this, article discusses new realms and new highlights in the legal protection of human rights.

高质量发展指标体系构建与区域比较分析

基于党的二十大报告从六个维度构建高质量发展指标体系,对中国2012—2020年236个城市高质量发展水平进行测算及分析。研究结果发现:全国及各地高质量发展水平总体呈现持续提高的趋势。分区域来看,东部高质量发展水平领先于中部和西部,中部略优于西部。分维度来看,区域协调发展最快并成为促进全国高质量发展的主要因素,绿色发展与对外开放程度则有所下降;对外开放、科技创新和区域协调发展是推动直辖市高质量发展的三大维度;市场化程度、区域协调发展以及科技创新对省会(首府)城市高质量发展水平赋能显著;市场化程度和科技创新则是副省级城市高质量发展的重要助力因素。基于此,应进一步巩固头部城市高质量发展成果,充分发挥省会(首府)城市、头部梯队城市等在城市群中的带动作用,并因地制宜增强各地高质量发展的驱动力。
