In the CICC (cable-in-conduit-conductor), helium flow within the conductor consists of two parallel interconnected tubes. The velocity distribution has some differece between the central channel and conductor space. The region of Reynolds number is from 103 to 106. This paper describes the calculation of pressure drop of HT-7U CICC at various mass flows. It is assumed that the coolant flows in two parallel, rough tubes during the calculation. 展开更多

According to the hydraulic calculation principles of the orifice outflow, the discharge capacity of the columnar reversing gate under the partial opening condition was calculated and checked. Using ANSYS, a large finite element analysis software, the discharge process was simulated. The distribution rule of the velocities in the gate chamber and downstream channel was obtained. An FEM model of the columnar reversing gate was built, and the natural vibration properties of the gate were analyzed. Based on the Westergaard added mass method, the added mass caused by the fluid-structure coupling motion was taken into account, and the effects of the coupling interaction were discussed. The results show that the size of the small gates meets the demand for discharge capacity, the current in the gate chamber is quite turbulent, the trunnion and arms are obviously impacted by flow, and the effects of water on vibration characteristics are remarkable. The study provides a reference for the design and calculation of gates of the same type. 展开更多

To evaluate the overall effect of the neck and torso on the head-related transfer function(HRTF),a simplified head-neck-torso(HNT)model,which consists of a spherical head,spherical torso and cylindrical neck,is proposed and the corresponding HRTFs are calculated using the boundary element method(BEM).The results indicate that the HRTF magnitudes for the HNT model are different from those of the existing spherical head-and-torso model(HAT)above 0.5 kHz,especially in the near-field and contralateral region.The discrepancy in the HRTF magnitudes leads to a discrepancy in the interaural level differences(ILDs)for the HNT and HAT models,which reaches a level of-l0dB at source distance of 0.2m.As the source distance increases,the discrepancy in the results of the HNT and HAT models reduces.Measurement on practical HNT and HAT models validates the analysis.Therefore,the neck influences near-field HRTFs and should be included in the near-field HRTF calculation. 展开更多

Regulated water is the blood and value performance of groundwater reservoir. To resolve the problem of real-time quantification of regulated water, the paper analyzed sources and compositions of regulated water in detail. Then, under the conditions of satisfying water demand inside research area, the paper analyzed quantity available and regulation coefficient of different regulated water and established a formula to calculate regulated water. At last, based on a pore groundwater reservoir in the middle reaches of the Yinma River, Jilin Province, the paper calculated regulated water with the formula and the result shows that the method is feasible. With some constraint conditions, the formula can be adopted in other similar areas. 展开更多

To know the temperature status of track and wheels on tank,the finite element calculation of temperature field was implemented with ANSYS software.The detailed temperature distributions for road wheel,drive wheel,idle wheel and track loop were obtained.The effect of factors,such as tank speed,environment temperature,sun radiant energy,ground deformation resistant and tank load,on the temperature of road wheel was studied.The sensitivity analysis shows that the effect of tank load on the temperature is the most,and the effect of ground deformation resistant is the least.The temperature testing device for road wheel on tank was developed to perform the experiments in real time.The calculated temperatures are in accord well with the experimental values. 展开更多

Before diagnosed by DGA (dissolved gas analysis) methods, gas caution values, which index the level of gas formation, must be used to evaluate the possibility of incipient faults to reduce the misdiagnosis in the normal state. However, the calculation of these values is now only based on cumulative percentile method without taking into account operating conditions. To overcome this disadvantage, a new approach to calculate the transformer caution values is presented. This approach is based on statistical distribution and correlation analysis, and it takes the individual variation and fluctuation caused by internal and external factors into consideration. Then 6550 transformer DGA data collected from North China Power Grid are analyzed in this paper. The results show that the volume fraction of TH (total hydrocarbon) approximately obeys normal distribution when the 3-sigma rule is used to calculate its caution value. The volume fraction of CO has a strong positive correlation with oil temperature. For H2, the negative correlation with oil temperature is significant when the volume fraction is not very low. The caution value curves for CO and H2 are obtained by regression analyses. Thus, the gas caution values/curves obtained using the new method are not always constant, but vary with oil temperature, which is an advantage of the proposed method compared with cumulative percentile method. The variation of gas caution values/curves also reflects the influence of the external factors, for instance, va- rying with monitoring time ensures that the gas caution values are always consistent with operating status. 展开更多

The local structure of an alternative Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-based perovskite ceramic is investigated. The 0.07BaTiO33-0.93Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramic is synthesized using a combination of Zn3Nb2O8 B-site precursor and BaTiO33 perovskite phase stabilizer. Then, x-ray absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory are employed to calculate the local structure configuration and formation energy of the prepared samples. Ba2+ is found to replace Pb2+ in AA-site with Zn2+ occupying BB-site in Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3, while in the neighboring structure, Ti4+4+ replaces Nb5+5+ in BB-site with Pb2+2+ occupying AA-site. With the substitution of BaTiO33 in Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3, the bond length between Zn2+ and Pb2+ is longer than that of the typical perovskite phase of Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3. This indicates the key role of BaTiO33 in decreasing the steric hindrance of Pb2+ lone pair, and the mutual interactions between Pb2+ lone pair and Zn2+ and the formation energy is seen to decrease. This finding of the formation energy and local structure configuration relationship can further extend a fundamental understanding of the role of BaTiO33 in stabilizing the perovskite phase in PbZn13Nb23O3-based materials, which in turn will lead to an improved preparation technique for desired electrical properties. 展开更多

The first-principle calculations are performed to investigate the structural,mechanical and electronic properties of titanium borides (Ti2B,TiB and TiB2).Those calculated lattice parameters are in good agreement with the experimental data and previous theoretical values.All these borides are found to be mechanically stable at ambient pressure.Compared with parent metal Ti (120 GPa),the larger bulk modulus of these borides increase successively with the increase of the boron content in three borides,which may be due to direction bonding introduced by the boron atoms in the lattice and the strong covalent Ti-B bonds.Additionally,TiB can be regarded as a candidate of incompressible and hard material besides TiB2.Furthermore,the elastic anisotropy and Debye temperatures are also discussed by investigating the elastic constants and moduli.Electronic density of states and atomic Mulliken charges analysis show that chemical bonding in these titanium borides is a complex mixture of covalent,ionic,and metallic characters. 展开更多

AIM: To compare the prediction error between Barrett Toric calculator and the new online AcrySof Toric calculator which incorporated Barrett astigmatism algorithm in Chinese cataract eyes with normal axial length and anterior chamber depth(ACD). METHODS: Prospective case-control study. All the cases had axial length(21-26 mm) with ACD no less than 2.4 mm.Keratometric values were measured by LenSTAR 900. The Barrett Toric calculator was used in group 1. In group 2, SRK-T formula was used to determine the spherical power of the Toric lens, and subsequent calculation of the cylinder type was performed using the new online Alcon Toric calculator. At 1 and 3 mo after surgery, a comprehensive subjective optometry was performed. The predicted residual astigmatism calculated by the two calculators was compared with that obtained by postoperative refraction,and the difference was defined as the astigmatism correction error [error of refractive astigmatism(ERA)].The error magnitude(EM) refers to the algebraic deviation of ERA, and the error vector(EV) indicates the vector deviation of ERA. The influence of the two calculation methods on the correction accuracy of toric IOL was quantitatively analyzed. RESULTS: The |EM| obtained at 1 mo after surgery were0.21±0.12 D, 0.22±0.18 D in group 1 and group 2 respectively,and correspondingly turned to be 0.19±0.13 D, 0.20±0.19 D at3 mo after surgery, with no statistical difference(P=0.633,P=0.877). The vector analysis showed that |EV| values in two groups at 1 mo after surgery were 0.29±0.14@105(D@angle) and 0.35±0.20@113(D@angle), respectively,whereas |EV| values 3 mo after surgery were 0.27±0.16@86(D@angle) and 0.32±0.23@102(D@angle), respectively. The differences between the groups were not statistically significant(P=0.119, P=0.261). CONCLUSION: The clinical effect of Barrett Toric calculator has a much more accurate tendency than that of new online AcrySof Toric calculator, but is not evident in cases with normal axial length and normal anterior posterior ratio. 展开更多

To overcome the shortcoming, a new nonlinear dispersion relation is proposed. Based on the summarization and comparison of existing nonlinear dispersion relations, it can be found that the new nonlinear dispersion relation not only keeps the advantages of other nonlinear dispersion relations, but also significantly reduces the relative errors of the nonlinear dispersion relations for a range of the relative water depth of 1<kh<1.5 and has sufficient accuracy for practical purposes. 展开更多

Based on the characteristic that the potential sliding surfaces of rock slope are commonly in the shape of either line or fold line,analysis thought of conventional pile foundation in the flat ground under complex load condition was applied and the upper-bound theorem of limit analysis was used to compute thrust of rock layers with all possible distribution shapes. The interaction of slope and pile was considered design load in terms of slope thrust,and the finite difference method was derived to calculate inner-force and displacement of bridge pile foundation in rock slope under complex load condition. The result of example shows that the distribution model of slope thrust has certain impact on displacement and inner-force of bridge pile foundation. The maximum displacement growth rate reaches 54% and the maximum moment and shear growth rates reach only 15% and 20%,respectively,but the trends of inner-force and displacement of bridge pile foundation are basically the same as those of the conventional pile foundation in the flat ground. When the piles bear the same level lateral thrust,the distribution shapes of slope thrust have different influence on inner-force of pile foundation,especially the rectangle distribution,and the triangle thrust has the smallest displacement and inner-force of pile foundation. 展开更多

To avoid the serious accidents caused by the failure fastening bolts on reciprocating compressor cylinder cover,a new nondestructive testing(NDT) technology,metal magnetic memory(MMM) testing,was applied to safety evaluating and failure analyzing for the fastening bolts.Based on the dynamic stress calculation of the failure bolts,MMM testing was carried out at workshop.Given are the MMM stress distribution characteristics of the failure bolts and fracture faces.It has been found that the MMM signal variation amplitude of the crack transition zone in the fracture surface is minimal,that of the crack initiation zone is in the middle,and that of the tear fracture zone is maximal.The failure reasons were analyzed with MMM effect.The results of the metallographic examination showed that the validity and feasibility of MMM testing and failure analysis.This means MMM technology is a new,fast and validity method of failure analysis. 展开更多

It will compartmentalize the land in research district into three spatial types: unchanged parts, converted parts and increased parts. By this method we can evaluate the numerical model and dynamic degree model for calculating land-use change rates. Furthermore, the paper raises the possibility of revising the calculating analysis model of spatial information in order to predicate more precisely the dynamic changing level of all types of land uses. In the most concrete terms, the model is used mainly to understand changed area and changed rates (increasing or decreasing) of different land types from microcosmic angle and establish spatial distribution and spatio-temporal principles of the changing urban lands. And we will try to find out why the situation can take place by combining social and economic situations. The result indicates the calculating analysis model of spatial information can derive more accurate procedure of spatial transference and increase of all kinds of land from microcosmic angle. By this model and technology we can conduct the research of land-use spatio-temporal structure evolution more systematically and more deeply, and can obtain a satisfactory result. Deformation of the flexspline is the basis of analyzing tooth trajectory and designing tooth profile.Considering the tooth influence on the position of equivalent neutral layer,a piecewise method for calculating the deformation of flexspline assembled with a cam wave generator is presented in this paper.Firstly,a mechanic model of a ring of uniform thickness in contact with a rigid cam is established.The displacements of the ring inside and outside an unknown wrapping angle are determined by the geometric constraints of the cam profile and the equilibrium rela-tionship,respectively.Meanwhile,the wrapping angle is solved according to the boundary conditions.The assembly forces are derived to investigate the circumferential elongation and strain.Then,considering the tooth effects on the neutral layer of flexspline,the tooth is positioned on the equivalent neutral layer,which is the non-elongation layer within one gear pitch but offset from the geometric mid-layer.The equivalent neutral layer is positioned by the empirical formula of the offset ratio,which is summarized by the orthogonal simulation on finite element models of racks.Finally,finite element models of a ring-shaped and a cup-shaped flexspline assembled with elliptical cam are established to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the piecewise method.The results show that,compared with the geometric method,the tooth positioning deviation calculated by the piecewise method can be reduced by about 70%with a more accurate deformation description from the geometric condition and mechanic condition inside and outside the wrapping angle. 展开更多

A composite shear wall concept based on concrete filled steel tube (CFST) columns and steel plate (SP) deep beams is proposed and examined in this study. The new wall is composed of three different energy dissipation elements: CFST columns; SP deep beams; and reinforced concrete (RC) strips. The RC strips are intended to allow the core structural elements - the CFST columns and SP deep beams - to work as a single structure to consume energy. Six specimens of different configurations were tested under cyclic loading. The resulting data are analyzed herein. In addition, numerical simulations of the stress and damage processes for each specimen were carried out, and simulations were completed for a range of location and span-height ratio variations for the SP beams. The simulations show good agreement with the test results. The core structure exhibits a ductile yielding mechanism characteristic of strong column-weak beam structures, hysteretic curves are plump and the composite shear wall exhibits several seismic defense lines. The deformation of the shear wall specimens with encased CFST column and SP deep beam design appears to be closer to that of entire shear walls. Establishing optimal design parameters for the configuration of SP deep beams is pivotal to the best seismic behavior of the wall. The new composite shear wall is therefore suitable for use in the seismic design of building structures. 展开更多

A one-dimensional theoretical model was adopted in this paper to describe and analyze the flow in an expanding RBCC(rocket based combined cycle)duct.It can be concluded that the expanding angle,heating amount and distribution of heating play crucial roles on the thermal choking.They mainly influence the acceleration of flow,the position of choking throat and the total pressure loss.In order to fulfill the transition of subsonic flow to supersonic flow in the expanding RBCC duct,the heating amount has to change from a bigger value to a smaller one along the duct.When the thermal choking occurs in the RBCC duct,the moderate expanding angle,proper heating amount and distribution of heating are necessary for the best performance of RBCC combustor.Adopting the RBCC duct with smaller expanding angles anterior and bigger expanding angles posterior has positive effects on the thermal choking and flexibility of selecting heating method,and can restrain the negative effect of the combustion on the inlet also. 展开更多
