In the proposed scheme, location information...This paper proposes a scheme to obtain location and vital health information using ZigBee system. ZigBee systems are wireless communication systems defined by IEEE 802.154. In the proposed scheme, location information is obtained using the Link Quality Indication (LQI) function of a ZigBee system, which represents the received signal strength. And, the vital health information are collected from the electrocardiogram monitor, the pulse and blood pressure device, attached to the patient’s body. This information is then transmitted to an outside network by ZigBee systems. In this way, vital health information can be transmitted as ZigBee sensor data while patients with the ZigBee terminal are moving. In the experiments using actual ZigBee devices, the proposed scheme could obtain accurate location and vital health information from the sensor data. Moreover, to achieve high reliability in the actual service, the collected amount of sensor data was confirmed by the theoretic calculation, when a ZigBee terminal passed through ZigBee routers. These results indicate that the proposed scheme can be used to detect the accurate location of the ZigBee terminal. And over 99% of the sensor data on vital health information was obtained when the ZigBee terminal passed through approximately four ZigBee routers.展开更多
Due to the lack of consideration of movement behavior information other than time and location perception in current location prediction methods,the movement characteristics of trajectory data cannot be well expressed...Due to the lack of consideration of movement behavior information other than time and location perception in current location prediction methods,the movement characteristics of trajectory data cannot be well expressed,which in turn affects the accuracy of the prediction results.First,a new trajectory data expression method by associating the movement behavior information is given.The pre-association method is used to model the movement behavior information according to the individual movement behavior features and the group movement behavior features extracted from the trajectory sequence and the region.The movement behavior features based on pre-association may not always be the best for the prediction model.Therefore,through association analysis and importance analysis,the final association feature is selected from the pre-association features.The trajectory data is input into the LSTM networks after associated features and genetic algorithm(GA)is used to optimize the combination of the length of time window and the number of hidden layer nodes.The experimental results show that compared with the original trajectory data,the trajectory data associated with the movement behavior information helps to improve the accuracy of location prediction.展开更多

This paper analyzes the concept and information characteristics of the ubiquitous map. Based on that, it proposes a ubiquitous map information organization model oriented to location-based aggregation. This new model includes three parts as “ubiquitous map instance”, “location-based aggregation mode” and “map scene”. This paper focuses on the “map scene” part which is the core of the model and contains two mutually mapped aspects as “content scene” and “representation scene”. And both aspects are divided into three levels as “features” ←→ “elements” ←→ “scenes” according to ubiquitous map information characteristics and location-based aggregation mode. With cases of map decomposition, the application of the model is explained to illustrate its effectiveness. Although OWL (web ontology language) is the standard of ontology representation language in semantic web, it is insufficient in representing spatial characteristics, especially spatial relationship. Consequently it is pointed out to build geo-ontology by virtue of three theories such as mereology, location theory and topology in this paper. This paper introduces mereology, location theory and topology, and then discusses how to adopt these three theories to build geo-ontology. It often causes huge losses to the electric system. The Wuhan High Voltage Institute of the State Grid Corporation of China and Huazhong University of Science and Technology have been researching and developing lightning location systems (LLSs) since the late 1980s. In the mid-1990s, a lightning detection network was created in 29 provinces and cities in China. It is primarily applied to rapidly find lightning accidents, which greatly reduces power interruption. Also, it ensures high efficiency and safe operation of the electricity system. Remarkable benefit is achieved. China's LLS went through an "orientation positioning - time difference positioning - integrated positioning" development process. The positioning precision, detection efficiency, degree of automation, practicability and applied range are improved. This is termed as concept or feature location process. Several techniques have been introduced which automate some or all of the process of concept location. Those techniques rely heavily on code comprehension as it is considered a prerequisite when attempting to maintain any software system. It provides a comprehensive overview of large body work which is beneficial to researchers and practitioners. This paper presents an overview of code comprehension categorization and consequence. A systematic literature survey of concept location enhancement techniques is also presented. Caching frequently accessed data items on the mobile client is an effective technique to improve the system performance in mobile environment. Proper choice of cache replacement technique to find a suitable subset of ...Caching frequently accessed data items on the mobile client is an effective technique to improve the system performance in mobile environment. Proper choice of cache replacement technique to find a suitable subset of items for eviction from cache is very important because of limited cache size. Available policies do not take into account the movement patterns of the client. In this paper, we propose a new cache replacement policy for location dependent data in mobile environment. The proposed policy uses a predicted region based cost function to select an item for eviction from cache. The policy selects the predicted region based on client’s movement and uses it to calculate the data distance of an item. This makes the policy adaptive to client’s movement pattern unlike earlier policies that consider the directional / non-directional data distance only. We call our policy the Prioritized Predicted Region based Cache Replacement Policy (PPRRP). Simulation results show that the proposed policy significantly improves the system performance in comparison to previous schemes in terms of cache hit ratio.展开更多

This integration p...In this study, accessibility and location-allocation models have been integrated into GIS to improve spatial planning and environmental sustainability of health services in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. This integration provides a planning framework in order to check the efficiency of the spatial allocation of health services and to generate alternatives either by proposing an active service or to improve an existing one. To achieve these objectives, the accessibility to the service area was analyzed within the analysis of health services networks, which are divided into eight types: public hospitals, specialized hospitals, health units, healthcare centers, infirmaries, clinic complexes, the Red Crescent Center, and ambulance facilities, with time intervals of (5 minutes - 10 minutes - 15 minutes) to access coverage ranges, and the location-allocation model was used based on the maximum coverage model within a response time not exceeding 15 minutes, The results of the study revealed the poor distribution of health services Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah suffers from weak accessibility to health services coverage areas and is unable to meet the needs of its population at present. The current need for health services reached twenty-four locations, including two public hospitals, three specialized hospitals, two health centers, three ambulance facilities, four infirmaries, three clinic complexes, four health units, and three Red Crescent centers.展开更多
Aiming at the existing problems in Leach algorithm,which has short network survival time and high energy consumption,a new location-based clustering topology control algorithm is proposed.Based on Leach algorithm,impr...Aiming at the existing problems in Leach algorithm,which has short network survival time and high energy consumption,a new location-based clustering topology control algorithm is proposed.Based on Leach algorithm,improvements have been done.Firstly,when selecting cluster head,node degree,remaining energy,and the number of being cluster head,these three elements are taken into consideration.Secondly,by running the minimum spanning tree algorithm,the tree routing is constructed.Finally,selecting the next hop between clusters is done by MTE algorithm.Simulation results show that the presented control algorithm has not only a better adaptability in the large-scale networks,but also a bigger improvement in terms of some indicators of performance such as network lifetime and network energy consumption.展开更多
