The morphology and structure are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The loading content of active anode material <span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4 in the composite is investigated by thermogravimetry, and the electrochemical properties of the composite are characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The SEM results show that the nano-sized spherical <span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4 particle is adhered to the inner Carbon aerogel (CA). Due to the unique structure of the composite material with double protection against the volume expansion of <span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4 when charged, the Carbon aerogel (CA)/<span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4/Carbon (C) composite material exhibits better cycle stability with a discharge capacity of 1180 mAh/g after 50 cycles. Firstly, V2O5, NH4H2PO4 and acetylene black are reacted under an Ar atmosphere to yield VPO4. The transition-metal reduction is facilitated by the CTR based on C→CO transition. These CTR conditions favor stabilization of the vanadium as V^3+ as well as leaving residual carbon, which is useful in the subsequent electrode processing. Secondly, VPO4 reacts with ElF to yield LiVPO4F product. The property of the LiVPO4F was investigated by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical measurement. XRD studies show that LiVPO4F synthesized has triclinic structure(space group p I ), isostructural with the naturally occurring mineral tavorite, EiFePO4-OH. SEM image exhibits that the particle size is about 2μm together with homogenous distribution. Electrochemical test shows that the initial discharge capacity of LiVPO4F powder is 119 mA·h/g at the rate of 0.2C with an average discharge voltage of 4.2V (vs Ei/Li^+), and the capacity retains 89 mA·h/g after 30 cycles.展开更多

The electrochemical performances of nano-composite were characterized by charge-discharge characteristic, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impendence spectroscopy (EIS). The experimental results indicate that the electrochemical capability of nano- composite material was superior to that of traditional S-containing composite material. The cathode made by carbon-sulfur nano-composite material shows a good cycle ability and a high specific charge-discharge capacity. The HSAAC shows a vital role in adsorbing sublimed sulfur and the polysulfides within the cathode and is an excellent electric conductor for a sulfur cathode and prevents the shuttle behavior of the lithium-sulfur battery.

文摘NS codoped carbon nanorods(NS-CNRs) were prepared using crab shell as template and polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) as both the C and S precursor, followed by carbonization in NH_3. The as-obtained NS-CNRs had a diameter of ~50 nm, length of several micrometers, and N and S contents of 12.5 at.% and 3.7 at.%,respectively, which can serve as anodes for both lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) and sodium ion batteries(SIBs). When serving as an anode of LIB, the NS-CNRs delivered gravimetric capacities of 2154 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 0.1 A g^(-1)and 625 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 5.0 A g^(-1)for 1000 cycles. When serving as an anode of SIB, the NS-CNRs delivered gravimetric capacities of 303 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 0.1 A g^(-1)and 230 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 1.0 A g^(-1)for 3000 cycles. The excellent electrochemical performance of NS-CNRs could be ascribed to the one-dimensional nanometer structure and high level of heteroatom doping. We expect that the obtained NS-CNRs would benefit for the future development of the doped carbon materials for lithium ion batteries and other extended applications such as supercapacitor, catalyst and hydrogen storage.

文摘A new mesoporous carbon-tin (MC-Sn) nanocomposite has been successfully prepared via a two-step method. From the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations, the tin nanoparticles were decorated on the as-prepared mesoporous carbons. The mesoprous structure of the carbon can effectively buffer the volume changes during the Li-Sn alloying and de-alloying cycles. The as-prepared MC/Sn nanocomposite electrodes exhibited extremely good cycling stability, with the specific capacity of Sn in the composite electrode calculated to be 959.7 mAh-g-1, which amounts to an impressive 90.9% of the theoretical value (990 mAh-g-1). The reversible capacity after 200 cycles is 96.1% of the first cycle reversible capacity, i.e., the capacity fade rate is only 0.0195% per cycle, which is even better than that of commercial graphite-based anodes.

文摘An efficient synthesis of carbon nanofibers by pyrolysis of as-prepared polypyrrole nanowires was reported. Under the subsequent KOH activation, a significant morphology variation was detected and the obtained sample took on a ribbon-like structure. The morphology and structure of the carbon nanofibers and carbon nanoribbons were characterized. When the as-prepared one-dimensional carbon nanostructures were used as anode materials in lithium ion batteries, both of them exhibited superior cyclical stability and good rate properties. After 50 cycles, the reversible capacity of carbon nanofibers electrode maintained 530 mA·h/g. Concerning carbon nanoribbons, the reversible capacity is always larger than 850 mA·h/g and the reversible capacity retention after 23 cycles is 86%.
文摘In this study, novel Carbon aerogel (CA)/Co3O4/Carbon (C) composites with a double protective structure are synthesized through a solvothermal method and in-situ polymerization. The HRTEM result indicates the thickness of the prepared Carbon (C) up to 40 nm. Nano-sheet is coated on the surface of the <span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4 particle. Compared with the pure <span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4 anode materials, the Carbon aerogel (CA)/<span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4/Carbon (C) composites have better transport kinetics for both electron and lithium-ion in EIS testing results, which may contribute to its higher specific capacity and higher first coulomb efficiency. Due to the unique structure of the composite material with double protection against the volume expansion of <span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4 when charged, the Carbon aerogel (CA)/<span style="white-space:normal;">Co</span>3<span style="white-space:normal;">O</span>4/Carbon (C) composite material exhibits better cycle stability with a discharge capacity of 1180 mAh/g after 50 cycles. Therefore, the double protection strategy is verified as an effective method to improve the electrochemical performance of transition metal oxide with carbon composite as an anode material in lithium battery.

文摘Biomass‐derived carbon is a promising electrode material in energy storage devices. However, how to improve its low capacity and stability, and slow diffusion kinetics during lithium storage remains a challenge. In this research,we propose a“self‐assembly‐template”method to prepare B,N codoped porous carbon(BN‐C)with a nanosandwich structure and abundant pyridinic N‐B species. The nanosandwich structure can increase powder density and cycle stability by constructing a stable solid electrolyte interphase film, shortening the Li^(+) diffusion pathway, and accommodating volume expansion during repeated charging/discharging.The abundant pyridinic N‐B species can simultaneously promote the adsorption/desorption of Li^(+)/PF_(6)^(−) and reduce the diffusion barrier. The BN‐C electrode showed a high lithium‐ion storage capacity of above 1140 mAh g^(−1) at 0.05 A g^(−1) and superior stability(96.5% retained after 2000 cycles). Moreover, owing to the synergistic effect of the nanosandwich structure and pyridinic N‐B species, the assembled symmetrical BN‐C//BN‐C full cell shows a high energy density of 234.7Wh kg^(−1),high power density of 39.38 kW kg−1,and excellent cycling stability, superior to most of the other cells reported in the literature. As the density functional theory simulation demonstrated, pyridinic N‐B shows enhanced adsorption activity for Li^(+) and PF_(6)^(−),which promotes an increase in the capacity of the anode and cathode, respectively.Meanwhile, the relatively lower diffusion barrier of pyridinic N‐B promotes Li^(+) migration, resulting in good rate performance. Therefore, this study provides a new approach for the synergistic modulation of a nanostructure and an active site simultaneously to fabricate the carbon electrode material in energy storage devices.

文摘Y-doped Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode materials were prepared by a carbothermal reduction(CTR) process. The properties of the Y-doped Li3V2(PO4)3 were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and electrochemical measurements.XRD studies showed that the Y-doped Li3V2(PO4)3 had the same monoclinic structure as the undoped Li3V2(PO4)3.The Y-doped Li3V2(PO4)3 samples were investigated on the Li extraction/insertion performances through charge/discharge, cyclic voltammogram(CV), and electrochemical impedance spectra(EIS).The optimal doping content of Y was x=0.03 in Li3V2-xYx(PO4)3 system. The Y-doped Li3V2(PO4)3 samples showed a better cyclic ability. The electrode reaction reversibility was enhanced, and the charge transfer resistance was decreased through the Y-doping.The improved electrochemical perormances of the Y-doped Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode materials were attributed to the addition of Y3+ ion by stabilizing the monoclinic structure.
文摘The polyoxovanadate(NH4)7[MnV13O38](AMV) was synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction pattern, Fourier transform infrared spectra, and field emission scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. In order to improve the electrochemical performance of AMV, the particle size of as-prepared AMV is decreased to nanoscale by re-precipitation in the water-ethanol solution. The results of the electrochemical impedance spectra and the 4-pin probe measurements show that the electrical conductivity of AMV is improved by decreasing the particle size. The nanoparticle AMV shows higher initial discharge capacity and energy density than the as-prepared AMV when cycled at 0.5C. On the other hand, the nanoparticle AMV exhibits higher rate capability than the as-prepared AMV.

文摘The lack of methods to modulate intrinsic textures of carbon cathode has seriously hindered the revelation of in-depth relationship between inherent natures and capacitive behaviors, limiting the advancement of lithium ion capacitors(LICs).Here,an orientateddesigned pore size distribution(range from 0.5 to 200 nm)and graphitization engineering strategy of carbon materials through regulating molar ratios of Zn/Co ions has been proposed, which provides an effective platform to deeply evaluate the capacitive behaviors of carbon cathode.Significantly, after the systematical analysis cooperating with experimental result and density functional theory calculation,it is uncovered that the size of solvated PF6-ion is about 1.5 nm.Moreover, the capacitive behaviors of carbon cathode could be enhanced attributed to the controlled pore size of 1.5-3 nm.Triggered with synergistic effect of graphitization and appropriate pore size distribution, optimized carbon cathode(Zn90Co10-APC)displays excellent capacitive performances with a reversible specific capacity of^50 mAh g-1at a current density of 5 A g-1.Furthermore,the assembly pre-lithiated graphite(PLG)//Zn90Co10-APC LIC could deliver a large energy density of 108 Wh kg-1 and a high power density of 150,000 W kg-1 as well as excellent long-term ability with 10,000 cycles. This elaborate work might shed light on the intensive understanding of the improved capacitive behavior in LiPF6 electrolyte and provide a feasible principle for elaborate fabrication of carbon cathodes for LIC systems.

文摘The development of fast rechargeable lithium ion batteries(LIBs)is highly dependent on the innovation of advanced high-power electrode materials. In this work, for the first time,we report a sacrificial NiO arrays template method for controllable synthesis of self-supported hierarchical porous Li_(4)Ti_(5)O_(12)/C(LTO/C)nanoflakes arrays, for use as fast rechargeable anodes for LIBs.The ultrathin(2-3 nm)carbon layer was uniformly coated on the LTO forming arrays architecture. The hierarchical porous LTO/C nanoflakes consisted of primary cross-linked nanoparticles of 50-100 nm and showed large porosity.Because of the enhanced electrical conductivity and accelerated ion transfer channels, the well-designed binderfree porous LTO/C nanoflakes arrays exhibited notable high-rate lithium ion storage performance with smaller polarization, better electrochemical reactivity, higher specific capacity(157 mAh g^(-1) at the current density of 20C)and improved long-term cycling life(96.2% after 6000 cycles at 20C),superior to the unmodified porous LTO arrays counterpart(126 mAh g^(-1) at 20C and 88.0%after 6000 cycles at 20C).Our work provides a new template for the construction of high-performance high-rate electrodes for electrochemical energy storage.

文摘A potential 4.2 V cathode material LiVPO4F for lithium batteries was prepared by two-step reaction method based on a carbon-thermal reduction (CTR) process. Electrochemical test shows that the initial discharge capacity of LiVPO4F powder is 119 mA·h/g at the rate of 0.2C with an average discharge voltage of 4.2V (vs Ei/Li^+), and the capacity retains 89 mA·h/g after 30 cycles.
