Multi-stream carrier aggregation is a key technology to expand bandwidth and improve the throughput of the fifth-generation wireless communication systems.However,due to the diversified propagation properties of different frequency bands,the traffic migration task is much more challenging,especially in hybrid sub-6 GHz and millimeter wave bands scenario.Existing schemes either neglected to consider the transmission rate difference between multistream carrier,or only consider simple low mobility scenario.In this paper,we propose a low-complexity traffic splitting algorithm based on fuzzy proportional integral derivative control mechanism.The proposed algorithm only relies on the local radio link control buffer information of sub-6 GHz and mmWave bands,while frequent feedback from user equipment(UE)side is minimized.As shown in the numerical examples,the proposed traffic splitting mechanism can achieve more than 90%link resource utilization ratio for different UE transmission requirements with different mobilities,which corresponds to 10%improvement if compared with conventional baselines. 展开更多

To linearize the multi.band PAs/transmitters, a serial of multi.band predistortion models based on multi.dimensional architecture have been proposed. However, most of these models work properly only for the signals whose harmonic and intermodulation products of carriers' non.overlap with the interested fundamental bands. In this paper, the non.overlapping conditions for dual.band and tri.band signals are derived and denoted in the form of closed.form expression. It can be used to verify whether a given dual.band/multi.band signals can be linearized properly by these multi.dimensional behavioral models. Also the conditions can be used to plan the frequency spacing and maximum bandwidth of a multi.band or non.continuous carrier aggregation signal. Several dual.band and triband signals were tested on the same PA, by employing 2.D DPD and 3.D DPD behavioral models. The measurement results show that the signals which don't satisfy the non.overlapping conditions cannot be linearized well by the multi.dimensional behavioral models which does not take the harmonic and intermodulation products of carriers' into account. 展开更多

The long term evolution advanced (LTE-advanced) standards target at high system performance comparable or superior to the requirements of the International mobile telecommunications advanced (IMT-advanced). In order to support backward compatibility with LTE, most of the key technologies have been retained in LTE-advanced, one of which is the discontinuous reception mechanism (DRX). LTE-advanced adopts carrier aggregation technology to extend the system bandwidth, which requires the LTE DRX applied in single-transceiver scenario to be adapted to multi-transceiver scenario with multiple component carriers. Apparently, carrier aggregation will influence the performance of DRX severely, so it's worth studying the impact brought by the coexistence ofLTE DRX and carrier aggregation on the system performance, e.g., the system delay. In this paper, first an overview of DRX in carrier aggregation scenario is given. Then it is modeled as a Markov process based on the queuing theory. Simulation results show that the independent component carrier configuration with a uniform Inactivity Timer achieves a superior service delay performance compared with other reference schemes. 展开更多

Due to the unprecedented rate of transformation in thefield of wireless communication industry,there is a need to prioritise the coverage,network power and throughput as preconditions.In Heterogeneous Networks(HetNets)the low power node inclusion like Femto and Pico cells creates a network of Multi-Tier(M-Tier)which is regarded as the most significant strategy for enhancing the coverage,throughput,4G Long Term Evolution(LTE)ability.This work mainly focuses on M-Tier 3D Heterogeneous Networks Energy Efficiency(EE)based Carrier Aggregation(CA)scheme for streaming real-time huge data like images.Atfirst,M-Tier 3D HetNets scheme was made for investigating Signal to Noise Interference Ratio(SNIR)on assessing the collective Pico-tier and Femto-tier interference.Next,the scheme of channel allocation is scrutinised so as to esti-mate throughput from the multiple tiers.Additionally,with the use of CA technique,the problem of energy efficiency for M-Tier 3D Heterogeneous Network(HetNet)in relation to energy metrics and throughput was evaluated with the use of LTE and Wireless Fidelity(Wi-Fi)coexistence.The simulation is carried out in a MATLAB setting,and the outcomes reveal a huge impact on EE.The simulation is carried in terms of EE,transmission time,throughput,packet success rate,convergence probability,and coverage region.The analysis from simu-lation shows that on improving the output of the device,interference among small cell base stations is reduced on increasing EE.The outcomes attained aid in the effective creation of M-Tier 3D HetNets for enhancing EE by employing Multi-Stream Carrier Aggregation(MSCA)in HetNets. 展开更多

It is proposed to provide optimal delay al-location by solving an optimization problem using idle state prediction and considering 5G characteristics such as mmWave propagation. The perfor-mance of the resource allocation algorithm is verified and compared with oth-ers from the literature using computational simulations in terms of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as throughput, delay, fairness index, loss rate and computational complexity. In these simulations, it is also considered the mmWave propagation and carrier aggregation technology for wireless next generation systems, in order to verify the system performance in a high data rate scenario. 展开更多
