To fulfill it, the polysulfone(PSf) supports with different surface pore structures were prepared. Two kinds of wide-accepted polymeric membrane materials, i.e., polyvinylamine(PVAm) and Pebax 1657 copolymer, were used as skin layer materials. We pointed out for the first time that the support surface average pore size and pore density could affect the chain mobility of polymer of skin layer at the support surface pore entrance, then, can affect the TFC membrane performance. Besides, we also discussed the effects of support on the TFC membrane performance when the feed pressure changes for the first time. This work can provide guidance for choosing a suitable support for TFC gas separation membrane.展开更多

Effect of the graphitic degree of HSGCs on the catalytic performance of Ba-Ru-K/HSGC-x (x is the ball-milling time in hour) catalysts was studied using ammonia synthesis as a probe reaction. The graphitic degree and pore structure of HSGC-x supports could be successfully tuned via the variation of ball-milling time. Ru nanoparticles of different Ba-Ru-K/HSGC-x catalysts are homogeneously distributed on the supports with the particle sizes ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 nm. The graphitic degree of the support is closely related to its facile electron transfer capability and so plays an important role in improving the intrinsic catalytic performance of Ba-Ru-K/HSGC-x catalyst.展开更多

The obtained BaSO4 was used as catalyst carriers for polystyrene(PS) hydrogenation, and BaSO4 supported palladium(Pd) catalysts with Pd content of 5wt% were prepared by using impregnation method. N2 physisorption, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and kinetics studies were used to investigate the effect of carrier structure on the dispersion and geometric location of active metal and their catalytic activities in PS hydrogenation. It was found that the pore structure of carrier played an important role in the dispersion and location of Pd grains. The activation energy values for all the Pd/BaSO4 catalysts were around 49.1kJ/mol, while the pre-exponential factor for Pd/BSC-6H was much higher than others. The Pd/BSC-6H without mesopores had Pd grains deposited on the external surface of the carrier, and exhibited better activity than the mesoporous catalysts. It is indicated that the utilization of Pd/BSC-6H can reduce the pore diffusion of PS coils and enabled more active sites to participate in the PS hydrogenation.展开更多

At 105 K, HCOOH molecularly adsorbs on clean Au(997) and interacts more strongly with low‐coordinated Au atoms at (111) step sites than with those at (111) terrace sites. On an atomic oxygen‐covered Au(997) surface, HCOOH reacts with oxygen at‐oms to form HCOO and OH at 105 K. Upon subsequent heating, surface reactions occur among ad‐sorbed HCOO, OH, and atomic oxygen and produce CO2, H2O, and HCOOH between 250 and 400 K. The Au(111) steps bind surface adsorbates more strongly than the Au(111) terraces and exhibit larger barriers for HCOO(a) oxidation reactions. The surface reactions also depend on the relative coverages of co‐existing surface species. Our results elucidate the elementary surface reactions between formic acid and oxygen adatoms on Au surfaces and highlight the effects of the coordina‐tion number of the Au atoms on the Au catalysis.展开更多
