A mathematical model was built to express the intrinsic kinetics of presulfurization using an unreacted shrinking core model for catalyst grains and one-dimension unhomogeneous model for beds, and then the significance of the new model was tested. Results show that the presulfurization with hydrorefining catalyst was a nonstationary process, as the reaction rate changed with time, and this first-order reaction displayed high activation energy. In this dynamic mathematical model, a correction coefficient f0 was introduced into the common power-function-formed rate equation, which indicated the effects of solid diffusion on reaction. The model with high significance was able to improve the presulfurization rate and the raw material utilization ratio, thus providing theoretical guidance for achieving high presulfurization effects.展开更多

The influences of reaction temperature, pressure, the ratio of H2 to oil, and space time were systematically investigated. By analyzing the reaction mechanism, a four-lump kinetic model considering the influence of competitive adsorption was proposed for the hydrodearomatization reaction, and the model parameters were optimized with good fitting. It was found that nitrogen compounds inhibited the hydrodearomatization reaction. The simulation of various catalyst stacking schemes based on the HDA kinetic model is close to the experimental data, proving the reliability of the model. Removal of sulfur from COG is a key step of this process. Conversion and reaction kinetics over a commercial Fe-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst(T-202) were studied in a continuous flow fixed bed reactor under pressures of 1.6-2.8 MPa, space time of 1.32-3.55 s and temperatures of 240-360 °C. Though the COG contains about 0.6 mol/mol H2, hydrogenation of CO and CO2 is not significant on this catalyst. The conversions of unsaturated hydrocarbons depend on their molecular structures. Diolefins and alkynes can be completely hydrogenated even at relatively low temperature and pressure. Olefins, in contrast, can only be progressively hydrogenated with increasing temperature and pressure. The hydrodesulfurization(HDS) of CS2 on this catalyst is easy. Complete conversion of CS2 was observed in the whole range of the conditions used in this work. The original COS in the COG can also be easily converted to a low level. However, its complete HDS is difficult due to the relatively high concentration of CO in the COG and due to the limitation of thermodynamics. H2 S can react with unsaturated hydrocarbons to form ethyl mercaptan and thiophene, which are then progressively hydrodesulfurized with increasing temperature and pressure. Based on the experimental observations, reaction kinetic models for the conversion of ethylene and sulfur-containing compounds were proposed; the values of the parameters in the models were obtained by regression of the experimental data.展开更多

Regression parameters were investigated by the method combining the simplex method and Runge–Kutta method. The model calculations were in appropriate accordance with the experimental data.展开更多

文摘The selective dissolution of V and Fe from spent denitrification catalyst(SDC)with oxalic acid was investigated to minimise their environmental effects. The dissolution kinetics of different elements from SDC by using 0.1–1.5 mol L^(-1) oxalic acid concentration was studied at 60℃–90℃.V and Fe were preferentially released(65%and 81%)compared with Al,Ti and W within 5 min due to the redox reactions of oxalic acid. The dissolved fractions of Fe,V,Al,Wand Ti increased with the increase of oxalic acid concentration and reaction temperature. The dissolution kinetic experiments were analysed and controlled diffusion with n<0.5 according to the Avrami dissolve reaction model(R^(2)>0.92).The Arrhenius parameters of the Ea values of Ti,W,V,Fe and Al from SDC with oxalic acid were 30,26,20,19 and 11 kJ mol^(-1),respectively.The obtained Avrami equation of V and Fe was successfully used to predict their leaching behaviour in oxalic acid.Toxicity characteristic leaching procedure revealed that the toxicity risk of Vand Fe metals from SDC after leaching with oxalic acid decreased to below 5 mg kg^(-1) residua.Overall, the leaching residua by oxalic acid indicated its safety for the environment.
文摘The intrinsic kinetics of hydrorefining catalyst in ex-situ presulfurization was investigated using a fixed-bed penetrating method. The model with high significance was able to improve the presulfurization rate and the raw material utilization ratio, thus providing theoretical guidance for achieving high presulfurization effects.

文摘The kinetics of hydrodearomatization (HDA) is studied in an isothermal high-throughput reactor over three catalysts (CoMo, NiMo, and NiMoW) to produce clean diesel fuel according to China’s latest emission standards. The concentration of aromatic compounds of different loading sequences was predicted with the catalyst gradation model.
文摘Producing methanol from coke oven gas(COG) is one of the important applications of COG. Based on the experimental observations, reaction kinetic models for the conversion of ethylene and sulfur-containing compounds were proposed; the values of the parameters in the models were obtained by regression of the experimental data.

文摘Hydrogen energy has emerged as a pivotal solution to address the global energy crisis and pave the way for a cleaner,low-carbon,secure,and efficient modern energy system.A key imperative in the utilization of hydrogen energy lies in the development of high-performance hydrogen storage materials.Magnesium-based hydrogen storage materials exhibit remarkable advantages, including high hydrogen storage density,cost-effectiveness,and abundant magnesium resources, making them highly promising for the hydrogen energy sector.Nonetheless, practical applications of magnesium hydride for hydrogen storage face significant challenges, primarily due to their slow kinetics and stable thermodynamic properties.Herein,we briefly summarize the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of MgH2,encompassing strategies such as alloying, nanoscaling, catalyst doping, and composite system construction to enhance its hydrogen storage performance.Notably, nanoscaling and catalyst doping have emerged as more effective modification strategies. The discussion focuses on the thermodynamic changes induced by nanoscaling and the kinetic enhancements resulting from catalyst doping.Particular emphasis lies in the synergistic improvement strategy of incorporating nanocatalysts with confinement materials, and we revisit typical works on the multi-strategy optimization of MgH2.In conclusion,we conduct an analysis of outstanding challenges and issues, followed by presenting future research and development prospects for MgH2 as hydrogen storage materials.

文摘CeO_2–CaO–Pd/HZSM-5 catalyst was prepared for the dimethyl ether(DME) one-step synthesis in a continuous fixed-bed micro-reactor from the sulfur-containing syngas. The catalytic stability over hybrid catalyst of CeO_2–CaO–Pd/HZSM-5 was investigated to ensure that the kinetics experimental results were not significantly influenced by induction period and catalytic deactivation. A large number of kinetic data points(40 sets) were obtained over a range of temperature(240–300 °C), pressure(3–4 MPa), gas hourly space velocity(GHSV)(2000–3000 L·kg^(-1)·h^(-1)) and H_2/CO mole ratio(2–3). Kinetic model for the methanol synthesis reaction and the dehydration of methanol were obtained separately according to reaction mechanism and Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism. Regression parameters were investigated by the method combining the simplex method and Runge–Kutta method. The model calculations were in appropriate accordance with the experimental data.

文摘Au/γ-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by deposition-precipitation method for the catalytic combustion of low concentration alcohol streams(methanol,ethanol,iso-propanol and n-propanol).The catalysts were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray diffractometry(XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray micro analysis(EDS) techniques. The XPS results showed that there was only Au0 on the surface of catalysts. The XRD patterns showed that Au was presumably highly dispersed over γ-Al2O3.The temperatures for complete conversion of methanol,ethanol,iso-propanol and n-propanol with concentration of 2.0 g/m3 were 60,155,170 and 137 ℃,respectively, but they were completely mineralized into CO2 and H2O at 60,220,260 and 217 ℃ respectively over the optimized catalyst. The activity of the catalyst was stable in 130 h.The kinetics for the catalytic methanol elimination followed quasi-first order reaction expressed as r=0.652 8c0+0.084 2.The value of apparent activation energy is 54.7 kJ/mol in the range of reaction temperature.
文摘The desolvation of erythromycin acetone solvate was investigated under non-isothermal conditions by a thermogravimetric analyzer. This paper emphasized the kinetic analysis of non-isothermal TG-DTA data by Achar method and Coats-Redfern method to fit various solid-state reaction models, and to achieve kinetic parameters of desolvation. The mechanism of thermal desolvation was evaluated using the kinetic compensation effect. The results show that kinetics of desolvation of erythromycin acetone solvate was compatible with the mechanism of a two-dimensional diffusion controlled and was best expressed by Valensi equation. Corresponding to the integral method and the differential method, the activation energy of desolvation of erythromycin acetone solvate was estimated to be 51.26—57.11 kJ/mol, and the pre-exponential factor was 8.077×106 s-1—4.326×107 s-1, respectively.

文摘Adsorption, surface reaction and process dynamics on the surface of a commercial copper-based cata-lyst for methanol synthesis from CO/CO2/H2 were systematically studied by means of temperature programmed desorption (TPD), temperature programmed surface reaction (TPSR), in-situ Fourier transform-inferred spectroecopy(FTIR) and stimulus-response techniques. As a part of results, an elementary step sequence was suggested and a group of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) for describing transient conversations relevant to all species on the catalyst surface and in the gas phase in a micro-fixed-bed reactor was derived. The values of the parameters referred to dynamic kinetics were estimated by fitting the solution of the ODEs with the transient response data obtained by the stimulus-response technique with a FTIR analyzer as an on-line detector.

文摘Methanol-to-olefins(MTO)is industrially applied to produce ethylene and propylene using methanol converted from coal, synthetic gas,and biomass.SAPO-34 zeolites,as the most efficient catalyst in MTO process, are subject to the rapid deactivation due to coke deposition.Recent work shows that steam regeneration can provide advantages such as low carbon dioxide emission and enhanced light olefins yield in MTO process, compared to that by air regeneration.A kinetic study on the steam regeneration of spent SAPO-34 catalyst has been carried out in this work.In doing so,we first investigated the effect of temperature on the regeneration performance by monitoring the crystal structure, acidity, residual coke properties and other structural parameters. The results show that with the increase of regeneration temperature, the compositions of residual coke on the catalyst change from pyrene and phenanthrene to naphthalene, which are normally considered as active hydrocarbon pool species in MTO reaction. However, when the regeneration temperature is too high, nitrogen oxides can be found in the residual coke.Meanwhile,as the regeneration temperature increases, the quantity of residual coke reduces and the acidity,BET surface area and pore structure of the regenerated samples can be better recovered, resulting in prolonging catalyst lifetime. We have further derived the kinetics of steam regeneration, and obtained an activation energy of about 177.8 kJ·mol^(-1).Compared that with air regeneration, the activation energy of steam regeneration is higher, indicating that the steam regeneration process is more difficult to occur.

文摘Developing advanced oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts with rapid mass/electron transport as well as conducting relevant kinetics investigations is essential for energy technologies, but both still face ongoing challenges.Herein,a facile approach was reported for achieving the highly dispersed Co nanoparticles anchored hierarchically porous N-doped carbon fibers(Co@N-HPCFs),which were assembled by core-shell MOFs-derived hollow polyhedrons.Notably, the unique one-dimensional(1D)carbon fibers with hierarchical porosity can effectively improve the exposure of active sites and facilitate the electron transfer and mass transfer, resulting in the enhanced reaction kinetics. As a result, the ORR performance of the optimal Co@N-HPCF catalysts remarkably outperforms that of commercial Pt/C in alkaline solution, reaching a limited diffusion current density(J)of 5.85 m A cm^(-2)and a half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.831 V.Particularly, the prepared Co@N-HPCF catalysts can be used as an excellent air-cathode for liquid/solid-state Zn-air batteries, exhibiting great potentiality in portable/wearable energy devices.Furthermore, the reaction kinetic during ORR process is deeply explored by finite element simulation,so as to intuitively grasp the kinetic control region, diffusion control region, and mixing control region of the ORR process, and accurately obtain the relevant kinetic parameters. This work offers an effective strategy and a reliable theoretical basis for the engineering of first-class ORR electrocatalysts with fast electronic/mass transport.
