Nafion as a universal polymer ionomer was widely applied for nanocatalysts electrode preparation.However,the effect of Nafion on electrocatalytic performance was often overlooked,especially for CO_(2)electrolysis.Herein,the key roles of Nafion for CO_(2)RR were systematically studied on Cu nanoparticles(NPs)electrocatalyst.We found that Nafion modifier not only inhibit hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)by decreasing the accessibility of H_(2)O from electrolyte to Cu NPs,and increase the CO_(2)concentration at electrocatalyst interface for enhancing the CO_(2)mass transfer process,but also activate CO_(2)molecule by Lewis acid-base interaction between Nafion and CO_(2)to accelerate the formation of^(*)CO,which favor of C–C coupling for boosting C_(2)product generation.Owing to these features,the HER selectivity was suppressed from 40.6%to 16.8%on optimal Cu@Nafion electrode at-1.2 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),and as high as 73.5%faradaic efficiencies(FEs)of C_(2)products were achieved at the same applied potential,which was 2.6 times higher than that on bare Cu electrode(~28.3%).In addition,Nafion also contributed to the long-term stability by hinder Cu NPs morphology reconstruction.Thus,this work provides insights into the impact of Nafion on electrocatalytic CO_(2)RR performance. 展开更多

The binary composite photo-catalysts CeO2/ZiO2, ZrO2/ZiO2 and the ternary composite photo-catalysts H3PW12040-CeO2/TiO2, H3PW12O40-ZrO2/TiO2 were prepared by sol-gel method. The catalysts were characterized by thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The photocatalytic elimination of methanol was used as model reaction to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of the composite catalysts under ultraviolet light irradiation. The effects of doped content, activation temperature, time, initial concentration of methanol and gas flow rate on the catalytic activity were investigated. The results showed that after doping a certain amount of CeO2 and ZrO2, crystallization process of TiO2 was restrained, particles of catalysts are smaller and more uniform. Doping ZrO2 not only significantly improved the catalytic activity, but also increased thermal stability. Doping H3PW12O40 alSO enhanced the catalytic activity. The catalytic activities of binary and ternary composite photocatalysts were significantly higher than un-doped TiO2. The dynamics law of photocatalytic reaction over the binary CeO2/TiO2 and ZrO2/TiO2 catalysts has been studied. The activation energy 15.627 and 15.631 kJ/mol and pre-exponential factors 0.5176 and 0.9899 s^-1 over each corresponding catalyst were obtained. The catalytic properties and characterization of CeO2, CuO/CeO2 and Cu/CeO2 catalysts were examined by means of a microreactor-GC system, HRTEM, XRD, TPR and XPS techniques. The results show that CuO has not catalytic activity and the activity of CeO2 is quite low for CO oxidation. However, the catalytic activity of CuO/CeO2 and Cu/ CeO2 catalysts increases significantly. Furthermore, the activity of CuO/CeO2 is higher than that of Cu/CeO2 catalysts. 展开更多

Elucidation of the CuOx-CeO2 interactions is of great interest and importance in understanding complex CuOx-CeO2 interfacial catalysis in various reactions. In the present work, we have investigated structures and catalytic activity in CO oxidation of CuOx species on CeO2 rods, cubes and polyhedra predominantly exposing {110}+{100}, {100} and {111} facets by the incipient wetness impregnation method with the lowest Cu loading of 0.025%. The structural evolution of CuOx species was found to depend on both the Cu loading and the CeO2 morphology. As the Cu loading increases, CuOx species are deposited preferentially on the surface defect of CeO2 and then aggregate and grow, accompanied by the formation of isolated Cu ions, CuOx clusters strongly/weakly interacting with the CeO2, highly dispersed Cu O nanoparticles, and large Cu O nanoparticles. The isolated Cu^+ species and CuOx clusters weakly interacting with the CeO2 were observed mainly on the O-terminated CeO2{100} facets. Meanwhile, more Cu(I) species are stabilized during CO reduction processes in CuOx/c-CeO2 catalysts than in CuOx/r-CeO2 and CuOx/p-CeO2 catalysts. The catalytic activities of various CuOx/CeO2 catalysts in CO oxidation vary with both the CuOx species and the CeO2 morphology. These results comprehensively elucidate the CuOx-CeO2 interactions and exemplify their morphology-dependence. 展开更多

The electrochemical behavior of vitamin C(ascorbic acid or AA) is investigated on the surface of a carbon-paste electrode modified with TiO2 nanoparticles and 2,2'-(1,2 butanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne))-bis-hydroquinone(BBNBH).The prepared modified electrode showed an efficient catalytic role in the electrochemical oxidation of AA,leading to remarkable decrease in oxidation overpotential and enhancement of the kinetics of the electrode reaction.This modified electrode exhibits well-separated oxidation peaks for AA and uric acid(UA).The modified electrode is successfully applied for the accurate determination of AA in pharmaceutical preparations. 展开更多

The artificial neural network was applied to optimize the preparing condition of TiO2 modified film. The optimized condition for forming TiO2 modified film on carbon steel was that NiP plating for 50 min, dip-coating times as 4, heat treatment time for 2 h, and the molar ratio of complexing agent and Ti(OC4HZ9)4 kept 1.5:1. The results showed that TiO2 modified film have good corrosion resistance. The result conformed that it is feasible to design the preparing conditions of TiO2 modified film by artificial neural network. 展开更多

Cu/CeO2-ZrO2 catalysts for water-gas shift (WGS) reaction were prepared with co-precipitation method, and the influence of ZrO2 content on the catalytic structure and properties was investigated by the techniques of N2 physical adsorption analysis, XRD and H2-TPR. The results indicate that the BET surface areas of the catalysts are increased in varying degrees due to the presence of ZrO2. With increasing ZrO2 content, the pore size distribution is centered on 1.9 nm. ZrO2 can efficiently restrain the growth of Cu crystal particles. The appropriate amount of ZrO2 in the Cu/CeO2 catalysts can help the catalyst keep better copper dispersion in the WGS reaction, which can lead to both higher catalytic activity and better thermal stability. When ZrO2 content is 10% (atom fraction), Cu/CeO2-Zr02 catalyst reaches a CO conversion rate of 73.7% at the reaction temperature of 200℃. 展开更多

The catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation. Characterizations of catalysts were carried out by XRD and BET techniques. The results showed a good dispersion of CuO for 5 wt% Cu loading catalysts and showed high specific surface area of catalyst. For selective CO oxidation, both 5CuO and 30CuO catalysts could remove completely CO in the presence of excess hydrogen at 423 K and 20CuO could eliminate CO completely at 443 K. Moreover, considering the selectivity to CO oxidation, the 5CuO catalyst has shown the highest selectivity of 85% while the 30CuO catalyst obtains the selectivity of 65% at the reaction temperature of 423 K. 展开更多

采用共沉淀法制备了系列Cu/CeO2-ZrO2水煤气变换(WGS)催化剂。用N2物理吸附、XRD和H2-TPR手段研究了ZrO2组分对催化剂的织构、物相、还原性能、热稳定性以及WGS反应活性的影响。结果表明,添加ZrO2组分均提高了催化剂的比表面积,且随ZrO... 采用共沉淀法制备了系列Cu/CeO2-ZrO2水煤气变换(WGS)催化剂。用N2物理吸附、XRD和H2-TPR手段研究了ZrO2组分对催化剂的织构、物相、还原性能、热稳定性以及WGS反应活性的影响。结果表明,添加ZrO2组分均提高了催化剂的比表面积,且随ZrO2含量的增加,孔径逐渐向小孔集中,即大孔数量减少,小孔数量增加,最可几孔径移至1.9 nm左右,并逐渐增强。ZrO2的加入能有效地抑制CeO2晶粒的长大,同时适量的ZrO2可使铜铈基催化剂在WGS反应过程中保持较高的Cu分散度,从而使其具有较高的活性和稳定性。当催化剂中ZrO2含量为10%,反应温度为200℃时,WGS反应中CO的转化率达到73.7%。 展开更多
