Research on the Teaching Optimization Path in Children’s Creative Art Curriculum Under the Perspective of“Sanquan Education”

Children’s creative art curriculum is a professional course supported by art materials and techniques and facilitated through creative activities,aiming at cultivating students’ability to organize creative art activities using various art materials and techniques.In light of the evolving focus in China’s colleges and universities from“what to know”to“how to apply,”the pivotal question for educators is how to maximize the value of children’s creative art curriculum.Based on this,this article takes“Sanquan education”as the starting point,combines factual and theoretical arguments,and analyzes the teaching optimization path of children’s creative art curriculum under the perspective of Sanquan education,to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching.

Appendicitis combined with Meckel’s diverticulum obstruction, perforation, and inflammation in children: Three case reports

BACKGROUND Meckel’s diverticulum is a common congenital malformation of the small intestine,with the three most common complications being obstruction,per-foration,and inflammation.To date,only a few cases have been reported world-wide.In children,the clinical symptoms are similar to appendicitis.As most of the imaging features are nonspecific,the preoperative diagnosis is not precise.In addition,the clinical characteristics are highly similar to pediatric acute appendicitis,thus special attention is necessary to distinguish Meckel’s diver-ticulum from pediatric appendicitis.Patients with poor disease control should undergo laparoscopic exploration to avoid serious complications,including intestinal necrosis,intestinal perforation and gastrointestinal bleeding.CASE SUMMARY This report presents three cases of appendicitis in children combined with intestinal obstruction,which was caused by fibrous bands(ligaments)arising from the top part of Meckel's diverticulum,diverticular perforation,and diver-ticular inflammation.All three patients,aged 11-12 years,had acute appendicitis as their initial clinical presentation.All were treated by laparoscopic surgery with a favorable outcome.A complete dataset including clinical presentation,dia-gnostic imaging,surgical information,and histopathologic findings was also provided.CONCLUSION Preoperative diagnosis of Meckel’s diverticulum and its complications is challenging because its clinical signs and complications are similar to those of appendicitis in children.Laparoscopy combined with laparotomy is useful for diagnosis and treatment.

Relationship between Authoritative Parenting Style and Preschool Children’s Emotion Regulation:A Moderated Mediation Model

An authoritative parenting style has been shown to promote children’s emotion regulation in European-American family studies.However,little is known about how sleep problems and the child’s sibling status in Chinese families affect this relationship.Based on family system theory,this study attempts to better understand the relationship between authoritative parenting style and emotion regulation.Mothers of preschool children in Chinese kindergartens completed questionnaires about their children’s sleep habits,their authoritative parenting styles,and children’s emotion regulation.A total of 531 children participated in this study.Results showed that authoritative parenting was positively associated with emotional regulation.Sleep problems mediated the effects of authoritative parenting style on emotion regulation.The child’s sibling status moderated the mediating effects of sleep problems in authoritative parenting and emotion regulation relationships.Specifically,the relationship between the authoritative parenting style and sleep problems was significant for only children,while birth order had no significant influence on the authoritative parenting style and sleep problems in two-child families.These findings suggest that a lowauthoritative parenting style predicts low emotion regulation through sleep problems,and this depends on the child’s sibling status,indicating that children without siblings may impair emotion regulation due to increased sleep problems.

Reflections on Conducting Kindergarten Language Education Activities Based on Children’s Literature

In early childhood education,language education is a crucial component,yet in kindergarten teaching,there often exists issues such as“emphasis on knowledge and neglect of practice.”To address this problem,teachers need to incorporate children’s literature in a reasonable manner to create a conducive environment for language education for young children.This article analyzes and discusses the significance of integrating children’s literature into kindergarten language education activities,and proposes strategies for addressing the current issues in kindergarten language education activities and conducting them based on children’s literature.

A Study of Health Prescribing for Children with Tourette’s Disorders in Children’s Health Education Specialty Care Clinics

Objective:This study designs and implements the health prescription of children’s health education specialized nursing clinic based on the physical and mental characteristics of children with Tourette’s syndrome.Methods:Applying the evidence-based nursing model and nursing intervention theory based on the survey research by searching China Knowledge Network,Wanfang Database and Wipro Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database,the study collected the literature on the health prescription intervention research in children’s Tourette’s disorders health education in children’s health education of specialized nursing outpatient clinic for review and combined with the specialty characteristics to formulate“Children’s Tourette’s Disorder Health Education Prescription.”Results:Tourette’s syndrome in children is a common pediatric neurological disorder,mainly manifested as involuntary,rapid and repeated muscle twitching and vocal tics,which brings serious psychological pressure and life disturbance to the affected children.Conclusion:For children with Tourette’s syndrome,healthcare professionals should give enough care and understanding to the children and their parents,provide timely and effective health education to them,help them improve their bad behavioral habits,establish correct cognitive attitudes,enhance self-confidence,improve patient compliance,reduce the frequency of recurrence,reduce the incidence of complications and promote children’s physical and mental health development.

Research on Children’s Game Activity Design Strategies Based on Embodied Cognition Theory

Edutainment,in the kindergarten education stage,emphasizes the game as the basic activity and combines the content of education with the form of the game,thus it also forms the educational method of gamification teaching.Through investigation and analysis,it is found that the current kindergarten game activity design has the problem of improper combination of educational content and game form.The current kindergarten game activity design has problems such as stereotypes,children’s lack of active learning opportunities in activities,teachers’insufficient theoretical understanding,inappropriate teacher guidance methods,and so on.Embodied cognition theory attaches importance to the important role of the body in the development of cognition,provides new guidance for classroom teaching,and opens up a new path for classroom teaching reform.Based on the perspective of embodied cognition theory,the concept of body and mind integration should be adhered to in kindergarten teaching with games as the basic activity,experiential teaching situation should be created,children’s subjective experience should be respected,and games and interactions should be designed to promote children’s physical and mental participation,thus laying a foundation for the realization of children’s individual freedom,autonomy,and all-round development.Therefore,this paper aims at the existing problems in the current kindergarten gamification teaching and discusses the design strategy of children’s game activities based on embodied cognition theory.

3D Ergonomic Board: Kids Teaching and Learning Proposition

The caprice for the study came from an indigenous designed instructional board for teaching learners in nursery/primary schools (2 - 10 years) and the task whose overall topic is the reminiscence, retention of visuals aid use in the pedagogy. The study is to appraise the opinion of toddlers/teachers about the helpfulness of 3D-visuals (ergonomic board);the clarity of the intended functions of the 3D-visuals in the toddler’s lessons instruction and support from the producers in using them;and why visuals (conventional visual aids) in schoolroom instruction are misjudged/misinterpreted;their view about the functions in specific (conventional visuals) for the instruction pedagogy;and other sources of visuals provided other than the lesson’s instruction. Four nursery/primary schools participated in the study. Seventy-two (72) toddler’s/teachers participated in the study. The study examined using quantitative and qualitative approach for statistical analysis (using pie-chart and histogram). The findings suggested that the aspects of visuals items selected for comment and description are to some extent circumscribed by toddler’s learners’ linguistic resources. Understandably, the point made by researchers referred that visuals often fail to support learning as effectively as they might because they are not regarded as a full-fledged information mode that requires the same careful processing as verbal text, is borne out by the findings. Recommendation, the accountability is above all on producers of kid’s instructional materials: authors, editors, designers and illustrators of the materials. The implication of this is that toddlers’ instructional materials should, as in the case of illustrated books include both an overt explanation of the overall philosophy toward visuals and overview of their use.

The Application of TBLT in Oral English Teaching for Children

Task-based language teaching approach firmly believes that study should be students' interest, emphasizes"learning bydoing", enables students to acquire language in the process of completing tasks, which solves the problem of laying too much stress on language knowledge and grammar knowledge while ignoring students' emotional attitudes and comprehensive ability to use lan - guage in English teaching. The English Curriculum Standards for primary schools require that the task of English teaching is to arouse students'study interest, and enable students to master certain English knowledge, and form certain language application ability for them. This paper makes a brief study on the use of Task-based Language method in oral English teaching for children, and the instruments referred to include the features, application of task-based approach, the importance of children's spoken Eng- lish, and the reflections from students and teacher.

Study on Public Speech and Children Language Teaching From the Perspective of Emotion

With the development of Affective Neuroscience, people are increasingly concerned about the relationship between emotion and cognition. Language, as a means of communicating and studying in human society, is one of the vital cognitive activities of human beings. Therefore, the relationship between emotion and language processing is valued by researchers all over the world. According to the Interaction Theory, this paper uses observational method to observe the listeners’ reactions to Ivanka’s speech, including the applause, the yell, face expression, and action, to study the influence of emotion on language processing and language learning so as to study children language teaching methods which can motivate students’ interests in learning and improve their language learning efficiency by applying the methods of public speech to the academic speech. The study about Ivanka’s speech is mainly from two aspects:(1) the influence of emotional information in language on language learning, including emotional words, sentences, and speeches;(2) the influence of external emotional background on language learning, including the emotional intonation, speech rhythm, and context. What’s more, the author spends one year in studying the effect of applying the public speech methods on children language learning. The author finds that applying the speech methods of public speech to academic speech has vital influence on motivating children’s learning interests and improving their learning efficiency.

Some Antioxidant Enzymes among Children with Sickle Cell Disease Attending Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto, North Western Nigeria

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is one of the most common genetic diseases in the world. It is associated with oxidative stress which occurs as a result of HbS unstable character causing a rise in the formation of free radicals. The aim of this study was to determine some antioxidant enzymes activities among patients with SCD. We investigated the superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione peroxidases (GPx) levels among 60 children aged 1 - 14 years with SCD. Twenty-two age-matched non-SCD children served as control. The study subjects were divided into two groups;steady state A (n = 30) and vaso- occlusive crisis (VOC) B (n = 30). The SOD, and GPx levels were significantly lower among the SCD subjects compared to controls (p = 0.000). There were no statistically significant differences in the SOD and GPX levels between sickle cell disease patient in steady state (A) and those in crisis (B) (p = 0.998 and 0.555) respectively. There was a statistically significant difference between the SOD and GPX levels between sickle cell disease patient in steady state (A) and non-sickle cell controls (p = 0.005 and 0.000) respectively as well as between sickle cell disease patient in VOC (B) and non-sickle cell controls (p = 0.000). There were no statistically significant differences in the SOD and GPX levels of sickle disease subjects based on age, gender, maternal level of educational attainment, occupational group and income (p = 0.629 and 0.476;p = 0.382 and 0.417;p = 0.450 and 0.314 and p = 0.397 and 0.762 and p = 0.553 and 0.929) respectively. There were no statistically significant differences in the SOD and GPX levels of sickle disease subjects of Hausa/Fulani extraction versus Yoruba (p = 0.714 and 0.856), between Hausa/Fulani extraction versus Igbo (0.917 and 0.486) and between Yoruba extraction versus Igbo (p = 0.740 and 0.965) respectively. This study confirms that SCD children have lower values of antioxidant enzymes compared to controls. SOD and GPX levels in sickle cell disease patient in steady state and vaso-occlusive crisis are significantly lower compared that of non-sickle cell controls. Patients with SCD may benefit from substances with antioxidant properties which can potentially reduce the complications associated with the disease.
