Research on the Path of Constructing Foreign Discourse System——How to spread China’s Voice Well

In an important speech delivered at the 2018 National Propaganda and Ideological Work Conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out:“Tell Chinese stories well,spread China’s voices,and increase the national cultural soft power and influence of Chinese culture.”National soft power is mainly manifested in the attractiveness of a country,and the improvement of national soft power is conducive to enhancing the international voice.All along,China’s hard power and China’s soft power development are very unbalanced.China’s hard power has not yet been reflected in China’s cultural soft power and cultural influence,so that it cannot display China’s national image well.Although China has the confidence and self-confidence to tell a good Chinese story,under the environment of international public opinion that“the west is strong and China is weak”,it dares not take the initiative to speak up and has been in a dilemma of“being scolded”.One of the most important reasons is that China’s international communication capabilities are not enough.In the current era of highly developed information technology,whoever has advanced communication methods and strong communication capabilities,whoever has the cultural ideas and values can spread out,and who can master the right to speak internationally,it can be said that if there is no effective communication channel,it will fall into the dilemma of“justification is nowhere to be said,and there is no way to spread it.”

Foreign Language Classroom Discourse Analysis

This paper reviews some works done to classroom discourse analysis and summaries some peculiarities of foreign language classroom discourse.Some strategies are proposed for the teachers to activate students into communicative teaching activities in classroom for the purpose of improving college English teaching and learning.

Xi Jinping's Discussion of Civilization History and the Discourse Construction of China's Road

The significance of discourse construction in the civilization discussion of Xi Jinping is explored in this paper: The 500-year history of world socialism and the 5000-year history of Chinese civilization, Xi Jinping' s studies of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the long history of civilization development, highlighting Socialism with Chinese characteristics as a product in the development of human civilization, the great contribution to world civilization progress and the creative development of Marxism which has been the most distinctive feature in Chinese discourse structure since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC. As the conscious construction of epistemology, it has given unprecedented historical and cultural implications to China' s road and opened the new theory space for the discourse construction of Socialism with Chinese characteristics or the academic expression of China' s road.

The significance and status of the teachers'professional development make the education system and the society pay more and more attentions.The article elaborates the internal contact of curriculum discourse and teachers'professional development from a few respects such as the rationality of curriculum discourse,the long-term nature of the teachers'professional development and many factors affecting the teachers'professional development.The article also analyzes the external and internal factors influencing Tibet foreign language teachers'professional development,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures in the light of these problems.

On the Metafunctions in Diplomatic Discourse:An Analysis on the Answer of Foreign Ministry Spokesman

Taking the answer of Foreign Ministry Spokesman as material,the essay intends to study the metafunctions in diplomatic discourse from the perspective of Systematic-Functional Grammar. According to the study of transitivity,mood,modality and thematic progression patterns in the material,it is found that the metafunctions are achieved in diplomatic discourse appropriately,and help to strengthen the preciseness, reliability and systematicness of spokesman's words.

Application of Multimodal Discourse Theory and Media Technology in Foreign Language Online Teaching

It is based on multimodal discourse theory,with the help of a questionnaire survey,to study the multimodal choice of online courses and its dominant factors under the condition of virtual technology.It puts forward targeted implementation suggestions for online teaching and providings references for the rapid deployment and implementation of online teaching in domestic colleges and universities.

A Case Study on the Pattern of Classroom Discourse in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language

Based on the IRF(initiation,response,and feedback)classroom discourse structure model proposed by Sinclair and Coulthard,this research analyzes and studies the actual corpus of Chinese classroom teaching in Thailand,focusing on the structural model of teacher-student communication discourse,mainly from two aspects of teachers'feedback.On the one hand,it investigates whether IRF is fully applicable to Chinese classroom teaching and whether there are special situations to it.On the other hand,it attempts to summarize the discourse structure model of Chinese classroom teaching and explores the application of the research results in helping Chinese teachers improve their teaching quality in hope that constructive suggestions can be proposed for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.

A Comparative Study of the Value Orientations of Foreign Language Education Policies in China and the United States in the 21st Century

Since the 21 st century, both Chinese Mainland and the United States have formulated foreign language education policiesbased on their national needs. This paper makes a comparative study of the value orientations of foreign language education poli-cies in Chinese Mainland and the United States in the 21 st century and finds that both China and the United States have regardedtheir national interests as the essential value orientation of their foreign language education policies. To be specific,the core valueorientation of foreign language education policies in China is to enhance its cultural soft power.In contrast,the core value orienta-tion of foreign language education policies in the United States is to safeguard its national security. Through the comparison of thedifferent value orientations of foreign language education policies of the two countries, the paper provides some reference for the for-eign language education policy-making in Chinese Mainland.

论涉外法治话语的界面研究

涉外法治话语,即由有关涉外法治思维、涉外法治理论、涉外法治实践等涉外法治要素系统构建的法治表达,其理论研究、人才培养与实践推进皆需要科学的方法支撑。界面研究是一种跨越学科或者某学科内部分支界限,并在其间形成良性互动与融合的研究方法。涉外法治话语的界面研究坚持问题导向,并且借鉴不同学科或层面的智识资源,采取多元与立体的视角、方法、工具等,致力于解决涉外法治话语理论与实践的种种问题。应当运用界面研究方法,对涉外法治话语展开深入研究,以助力我国法治建设与涉外法治话语权的提升。

语篇语义视域下涉外警务应急救援沟通话语研究

以系统功能语言学语境与语言层次观为出发点,基于语篇语义系统,构建涉外警务应急救援沟通话语分析框架,用以分析涉外警务应急救援沟通各阶段的语篇语义特征和词汇语法特点,并在此基础上探讨如何增强警察的应急救援外语能力。涉外警务应急救援沟通话语的语类各阶段可以由概念、联接、评价、协商、周期和辨识六个语篇语义维度实现,在语言层面上由体现概念意义、人际意义和语篇意义的词汇语法资源来表达,进而强化涉外警务应急救援沟通准确、快速、清晰和安抚的话语特征。从叙事能力、协商能力、组篇能力和生存外语能力四方面提高警察的应急救援外语能力,有助于构建更高效的涉外警务应急救援沟通模式,为提升国家应急外语服务能力提供语言学支持。

基于CiteSpace的我国外语课堂话语研究文献计量分析(2003-2022)

借助可视化软件CiteSpace,对2003—2022年CNKI数据库中我国外语课堂话语相关研究的发展脉络、高产作者和机构、研究热点、研究前沿进行计量分析。研究发现:国内外语课堂话语研究呈现阶段性特征,大致可分为缓慢发展期、快速增长期、下降期及稳步发展期四个阶段;王健、刘永兵、张莲、徐锦芬等发文量2篇及以上者为该领域的核心作者。发文量较多的机构以师范类和外语类高等院校为主,北京外国语大学是近两年该领域研究的重要阵地;研究热点集中在五个方面,分别是课堂话语总体性研究、聚焦反馈和提问语的课堂话语微观研究、关注课堂互动和意义协商的话语研究、课堂话语影响教育教学的研究及基于信息技术的课堂话语研究;多模态、课堂互动及翻转课堂等话题为研究前沿。以上结果同时表明:现有研究存在研究主体间缺乏合作、我国本土化的研究理论有待创新、运用语料库和科学实验方法的研究有待加强、课堂话语研究与外语教师教育和专业化发展“脱节”等问题。

新形势下中国对外话语的新天下观与国际传播的优化

面对当今日益复杂的国际形势,中国的对外交往面临着一系列严峻挑战,在对外话语、国际传播等问题上需有与之相适的措施。由中国传统文化发展而来的新“天下观”,以其独特的政治哲学视角,为我们认清世界格局、处理国际关系打开了新的思路,也从认识论和方法论的角度,为对话世界提供了框架式构想。“天下”观的理论精神与构建“人类命运共同体”的基本理念一致,以实现世界各国人民的共同利益、和谐关系和携手发展为根本目的,从国际关系治理入手,以文明共生为目的,将政治生活和文化关系作为抓手,为我国的对外交流和文化传播设计出了系统化的工作格局和实施方案。

从晚清到五四:外国文学翻译走向现代之路

五四时期的外国文学翻译盛况空前,任淑坤《五四时期外国文学翻译的言说与实践》一书研究视角切中该时期多维的翻译言说与实践关系,披沙拣金,突破五四时期翻译史研究以言说为依据、默认翻译实践与言说一致的模式,使言说与实践的多维关系从隐身走向现形。一则见解高卓,从宏观视角对五四时期的译本作系统和整体考察;再则其探骊得珠,以《新青年》为典例,从微观角度探究五四时期大量外国文学作品传入盛况。引而申之,触类而长,其研究对当今中国文学走出去极具借鉴意义。

《跨文化交际概论》若干问题商兑

从跨文化交际基本理论、汉语国际教育基本观念和对外汉语教学实践来看,作为“对外汉语专业本科系列教材”之一、吴为善、严慧仙所著的《跨文化交际概论》存在一些值得商榷探讨的问题。主要表现在三个方面:一是全书的结构设计与内容安排方面的欠妥当或不合理;二是某些学术立场和学术观点的不恰当或不准确;三是教材话语方式和语言表达的不清晰或不规范。这些问题的存在,不能不影响该教材的总体水平、价值地位和在对外汉语或国际中文课堂教学中的使用范围与使用效果。本文予以提出并进行讨论,希望能对该教材的编著者和使用者提供一定的参考。

中国对外援助话语的共情修辞机制及效果探究

共情修辞可被视作推动国际传播的重要路径之一。中国对外援助话语包含了诸多共情修辞印记,契合了情感共情、认知共情和共情意动的共情逻辑,经历了从文化认同到情感认同再到理念认同的过程。研究发现,在共情效果方面,受众与修辞者的共情水平并未表现出一致性,相反,面对修辞者持续高水平的共情,受众情感呈现出周期性波动。受国际话语博弈和“泛媒化”景观的影响,援助国和受援国在修辞者和受众的身份中呈现出复杂的多样性,带动了修辞传播中共情效果的折变。在对外援助语境下,内化共情修辞机制的话语体系建设是实现外部认同和提升援助效果的关键。

涉外法治的系统思维

在系统思维的框架下分析和探究涉外法治,需要全局性地把握涉外法治的时空方位,既看清涉外法治的外部环境,也看到涉外法治具体工作内部的框架体系。统筹推进国内法治和涉外法治回应了我国治国理政的时代要求,有助于协调构建国内法治和涉外法治,维护国家的主权、安全、发展利益,促进强国建设和实现民族复兴的伟大梦想,而且有利于实现世界和平、安全、繁荣、宽容、环保的良好秩序。涉外法治的工作体系主要体现在:第一,国家跨境法律制度的完善,包括国家在跨境立法、执法、司法、促进守法等方面的努力,以及充实法律的工具箱,依法进行国际维权。第二,国际法治合作和制度竞争,国家积极参与国际事务,提升其法治化水平和正当性程度。第三,提升国家的法治话语和叙述的水平,通过法治方式改善国家形象,提升国家声誉,展示中国作为法治大国和文明大国的形象,使中国理念与行动受到更加广泛的理解和支持。

思政视角下的优秀高校外语教师课堂积极话语分析

采用课堂观察法和语料库驱动法,从课程思政视角分析同种课型和不同课型间外语教师课堂积极话语建构异同。将20名“外教社杯”全国高校外语教学大赛教学大赛获奖教师分为综合课组和视听说课组,对比不同参赛年份和课程组别的教师思政话语频次和维度发现:外语教师思政育人的自觉性不断提高;不同课型的教师课堂积极话语建构存在差异,综合课组教师的积极话语频次显著高于视听说课组;教师的积极话语大多为思想素质维度;积极话语数量不是教学效果的决定因素;授课主题影响教师课堂积极话语的维度分布。研究表明:相关政策引导是教师思政意识的助推剂,而课程内容是课程思政的重要前提,但受到课程类型和单元主题的影响。

生态翻译学“三维转换”视角下探究《2022年政府工作报告》英译策略

在国际政治、经济和文化高度融合发展的今天,通过外宣翻译向世界讲好中国故事、传递中国声音、树立大国形象、构筑中国政治话语权至关重要。该文基于生态翻译学“三维转换”理论,运用案例分析和定性分析的方法,探究译者在《2022年政府工作报告》英译过程中,如何采用不同翻译策略灵活处理中英句式结构差异、中国特色词汇表达和中文四字格结构等翻译难点,从而整合出最贴近目标语读者思维方式的高质量译文,实现跨文化交际的目的。研究发现,译者在翻译过程中分别从语言维、文化维和交际维层面做出适应性选择转换,实现源语环境和译语环境的动态平衡,达到译文最佳传播效果。
