Three new records of lycopsids and ferns from Vietnam

Three new records from Vietnam,Phlegmariurus guangdongensis Ching,Adiantum longzhouensis A.H.Wang,F.G.Wang&F.W.Xing,and Lepisorus bicolor Ching,are reported.The identification characteristics,information of specimen,and geographical distribution of the species are described.The discovery of new records not only enriches the study of plant diversity in Vietnam,but also provides important information for biodiversity conservation and botanical research in the region.The voucher specimens are kept in the Herbarium of Kunming Institute of Botany,Chinese Academy of Sciences(KUN),Herbarium of Institute of Botany,Chinese Academy of Sciences(PE)and Herbarium of Guangxi Forestry Research Institute(GXFI).

New record of the feather star Palaeocomatella hiwia(Echinodermata:Crinoidea:Comatulida)from Zhenbei Seamount in South China Sea:new insights into the taxonomic position of Palaeocomatella

One specimen belonging to the family Comatellinae was collected from the Zhenbei Seamount(332.5–478.2 m)in the South China Sea in July 2022.Based on the morphological characters,the specimen was identified as Palaeocomatella hiwia McKnight,1977.It is first recorded from China Sea and redescribed in detail.This specimen differs from the original description from New Zealand for never showing syzygy at br4+5 or br5+6 on interior and br1+2 on exterior arms.However,it is much conform to the redescription to specimens from Indonesia,with only differences in position of the second syzygy and distalmost pinnule comb.Specimen is deposited in the Institute of Oceanology,Chinese Academy of Sciences.Phylogenetic analyses based on the mitochondrial c oxidase subunit I(COI)and 16S rRNA genes indicated that P.hiwia was nested within the tribe Phanogeniini and clustered with Aphanocomaster pulcher.Furthermore,P.hiwia showed same morphological features in terms of mouth placement,comb location,and number of comb teeth rows as other genera of Phanogeniini.Therefore,we suggest that the genus Palaeocomatella should be put in the tribe Phanogeniini.

Notes on Species of the Subgenus Zeugodacus (Diptera: Tephritidae) from Yunnan, with Redescription of a Newly Recorded Species from China

Nine species in the subgenus Zeugodacus Hendel were known to occur in Yunnan. We add seven more species to the fauna of Yunnan. Among them, one species, Bactrocera (Zeugodacus) vultus Hardy, 1973, is reported from China for the first time. This species is redescribed in detail and its male genitalia are illustrated and described for the first time. A key to the species of the subgenus Zeugodacus from Yunnan is provided.

Rhipidothrips Uzel, a Newly Recorded Genus of Aeolothripidae (Thysanoptera: Terebrantia) from China

Rhipidothrips brunneus Williams of the family Aeolothripidae (Thysanoptera: Terebrantia) is recorded from China for the first time, representing the first record of the genus Rhipidothrips Uzel and the fourth genus of this family in China. A key is provided for the four genera known in China, with comments on each genus.

Newly recorded species of the genus Isohypsibius (Tardigrada;Hypsibiidae) from China

This paper reports two newly recorded species, lsohypsibius lunulatus Iharos, 1966 and lsohypsibiusprosostomus Thulin, 1928, of the genus lsohypsibius （Tardigrada; Hypsibiidae） from China. The specimens of lsohysibius lunulatus were collected from Taibai Mt （34°18′N, 107°42′E） at 2,500 m a.s.1, and those oflsohypsibius prosostomus from Taibai Mt （34°10′N, 107°35′E） at 2,000 m above sea level. All specimens are deposited at the College of Life Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, China. A key to the Chinese species of lsohypsibius was also given.

A New Species and a Newly Recorded Species of the Genus Paratendipes Kieffer (Diptera: Chironomidae) from China

A new species of Paratendipes Kieffer, P. angustus sp. nov., is described and the male is illustrated. P. subaequalis （Malloch, 1915） is recorded in China for the first time.

Description of a new species and a newly recorded species in the genus Eukiefferiella Thienemann,1926(Diptera:Chironomidae) from China

A new species, Eukiefferiella celata sp. nov., and a newly recorded species, E. brehmi Gouin, 1943, are described and illustrated as male imagines. A new synonym is proposed： E. togaeuquinta Sasa ＆ Okazawa, 1992, syn. nov. （= E. brehmi）.

A New Bird Record in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,China:White-spectacled Warbler Seicercus affinis

A specimen of White-spectacled Warbler Seicercus affinis was collected in Diding Nature Reserve in Jingxi County, Southwest Guangxi province in December 2006. It is a new record of bird species in Guangxi. During our field investigation in Diding Nature Reserve from January 2005 to May 2007, Seicercus affinis were observed frequently in the underbrush of the evergreen broad-leaved forest and the shrub around agricultural land at an altitude of 500-700m. There are two subspecies of Seicercus affinis recorded in the world, but only one in China. Through a careful examination, this specimen was identified as Seicercus affinis intermedius. The distribution ofSeicercus affinis in China will be discussed in this paper. The specimen was kept at the College of Animal Sciences and Technology, Guangxi University.

Two newly recorded species of the genus Itaquascon(Tardigrada;Hypsibiidae) from China

This paper reports two newly recorded species, Itaquascon placophorum Maucci, 1972 and Itaquascon umbellinae Barros, 1939, of the genus Itaquascon （Tardigrada; Hypsibiidae） from China in the first time. The specimens of Itaquascon placophorum were collected from Tsinling Mountains （33°28′N, 108°29′E） at 2,040 m above the sea level and those ofltaquascon umbellinae from Taibai Mt. （34°21′N, 107°39′E） at 1,500 m above the sea level. All specimens are deposited at the College of Life Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, China.

The Genus Stenochironomus Kieffer(Diptera:Chironomidae) with Three Newly Recorded Species from China

The genus Stenochironomus from China,including 10 species,is reviewed.Three species,S.koreanus Borkent,S.maculatus Borkent,and S.totifuscus Sublette are re-described and recorded from China for the first time.One species misidentification is corrected.A key to the males of Stenochironomus in China is given.

A new record of Dasyatid fish in China: Dasyatis laosensis

One specimen was collected from the main course of Lancangjiang River （upper reach of Mekong） in Guanlei Port, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China in April, 2008. It is identified as Dasyatis laosensis, a new record of Dasyatidae species in China. It could be distinguished from other Dasyatis species by a combination of the following characteristics： one enlarged venomous spine on the tail, ventral surface of body with orange marginal coloration, tail length greater than body length.

A New Record of Anguillid Fish in Lancangjiang River,China:Anguilla bicolor

One specimen was collected from Lancangjiang River in Jinghong,China on August 1st,2006.It is identified as Anguilla bicolor McClelland,1844,a new record of Anguillidae species occurring in Lancangjiang River in China.It could be distinguished from other Anguilla species by the character as：dorsal-fin origin located above vent vertically.It is an active nocturnal forager,feeding largely on a diet of crustaceans and mollusks.

A New Species and Two New Record Species of the Genus Stictochironomus Kieffer(Diptera:Chironomidae) from China

A new species of Stictochironomus Kieffer, S. juncaii sp. nov. from China is described and illustrated as male imago. S. multannulatus （Tokunaga） and S. pictulus （Meigen） are recorded in China for the first time. A key to the males of Stictochironomus in China is given. All specimens are deposited in the College of Life Science, Nankai University, China （BDN）.

A New Species and Two New Records of Megaselia Rondani (Diptera: Phoridae) from China

A new Megaselia species： Megaselia angustirostris Fang ＆ Liu, sp. nov., is described and illustrated and two species of the genus, M. nigra （Meigen） and M. albicaudata （Wood）, are reported for the first time from China. The type specimens are deposited in College of Biological and Environmental Engineering, Shenyang University.

Two newly recorded species of the genus Hypsibius (Tardigrada;Hypsi-biidae) from China

This paper reported two newly recorded species, Hypsibius convergens Urbanowicz, 1925 and Hypsibius hypostomus Bartos, 1935, of the genus Hypsibius （Tardigrada; Hypsibiidae） from China. Both species were collected from Taibai Mt, Shaanxi Province. All specimens are deposited at the College of Life Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, China.

A New Record Genus and Species of Gracillariidae (Lepidoptera) from China

Based on 61 specimens reared from leaf-mining larvae on Carmona microphylla in Guangdong, Dialectica geometra （Meyrick, 1916）, which represents the genus Dialectica Walsingham newly recorded from China, is described and illustrated, and its DNA barcode was cloned and registered. The specimens are deposited in Hunan Agricultural University, Changsha and Zhuhai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Zhuhai, China （ZHCIQ）.

A Newly Recorded Species of the Genus Cephalothrips Uzel(Thysanoptera:Phlaeothripidae) from China

Cephalothrips monilicornis（Reuter,1880） is reported for the first time from China.A key to the Chinese species is provided.The specimens examined are deposited in the Entomological Museum of the Northwest A F University,Yangling,Shaanxi,China（NWAFU）.

A New Record Genus Polyamia DeLong,with Two New Species (Hemiptera:Cicadellidae:Deltocephalinae) from China

In the present paper, Polyamia DeLong is firstly recorded with two new species ——Polyamia penistenuis, sp. nov. and Polyamia drepananiforma, sp. nov. from China. The type specimens are deposited in the Entomological Museum of the Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture and Forestry, Yangling, Shaanxi, China.

New species and record of Bactrocera Macquart(Diptera:Tephritidae) from China and Laos

A new species, Bactrocera （Zeugodacus） gansuica Chen, Han et Zhou sp. nov., is discovered from China, and B （Z.） vultus （Hardy, 1973） is recorded for the first time in Laos. These two species are here described and illustrated.
