Compared to most phones on the market, the single-chip model is faster and more energy efficient. T82 has a 4.3-inch qHD screen, which provides exceptional HD quality. The phone has an 8 mp rear camera that supports 1080p HD video shooting and playback. The camera module with enhanced flash captures the sharpest images during the day and night. The front camera supports 720p HD video calls. T82 is also WiFi enabled and uses Android 4.0. Objective:This study aims to evaluate the effects of a symptom management intervention(SMI)based on symptom management group sessions combined with a mobile health(mHealth)application(app)on the knowledge of symptom management,the certainty of symptom self-management,symptom severity,symptom distress,medication adherence,social support,and quality of life among persons living with HIV(PLWH)in China.Methods:A parallel randomized controlled trial with 61 PLWH was conducted in Shanghai,China.The participants in the control group(n¼30)downloaded the Symptom Management(SM)app according to their needs and preferences,and received routine follow-ups.The participants in the intervention group(n¼31)were guided to download and use the SM app,and received four tailored weekly group sessions at routine follow-ups.Each group session lasted for approximately 2 h and targeted one of the major modules of the SM app.All the outcomes were assessed at baseline and post-intervention.The study was registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(ChiCTR1900024821).Results:The symptom management knowledge and certainty of symptom self-management were significantly improved after the intervention(all P<0.01).Compared with the control group,the scores of symptoms reasons knowledge score improved 11.47 points(95%CI:3.41,19.53)and scores of symptoms self-management knowledge score improved 12.80 points(95%CI:4.55,21.05)in the intervention group after controlling for covariates.However,other outcomes did not show statistically significant differences between the intervention group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The SMI could improve PLWH’s symptom management knowledge and certainty of symptom self-management.Multi-center studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-ups are needed to further understand the effects of SM app on ameliorating symptom severity and symptom distress.More innovative strategies are also needed to promote and maintain the sustainability of the SM app. 展开更多

Purpose:As smartphones become ubiquitous,it is important to understand emerging information behavior as a result of wide spread use of smartphones.The purpose of this study is to investigate information behavior in the mobile environment by studying undergraduate smartphone users in China.Design/methodology/approach:This study is based on a survey of 205 undergraduate students in China.Findings:Smartphones are used predominantly for accessing news and connecting to social media,rather than for academic purposes such as accessing library resources or researching.While students use smartphones for reading e-books,much of this reading is recreational during their spare time.Research limitations:The inherent limitations of self-reported measures and the small sample size of this study mean that the results cannot be generalized across different age groups and cultures.Practical implications:When targeting users on the move,information professionals should be aware that the needs and behaviors of smartphone readers are significantly different compared to users of fixed devices,and should provide services in a mobile-friendly way.Originality/value:The younger generation is accustomed to instant information access.For libraries to relevant,they must redesign their services.It is important for libraries to leverage the strengths of mobile technology and to balance traditional services with mobile delivery.Even though many mobile users will use desktop or laptop computers to access library resources,they will benefit from the availability of mobile-friendly library services. 展开更多

German cellular operators, DeTeMobil, Mannesmann, E-Plus and VIAG Interkom, built D1-, D2-, E1-and E2-Netze based on GSM standards made in Europe. China Unicom was created in 1994 and China Telecom was separated from MPT in 1995. China Telecom and China Unicom competed in a duopoly from the mid-1990s onwards and the cellular services provided by them also rely on GSM standards. China Telecom additionally deployed XLT technology (PHS) from the late 1990s onwards. While DeTeMobil and Mannesmann conquered approximately 80%-90% of the market throughout the 1990s and were the two dominant market players in Germany, China’s cellular market was mainly controlled by China Mobile. In Germany, prices related to cellular technology continued the downwards trend as a major result of the process of deregulation, liberalisation and competition. In China, price wars had led to significant price reductions in the cellular market.
