We aim to evaluate and project the burden of breast cancer in different menopausal status in China. Methods: The incidence and mortality of breast cancer were estimated using the data of 554 cancer registries in 2017 and the trends of incidence and mortality of 112 cancer registries from 2010 to 2017. Data from 22 continued cancer registries from 2000 to 2017 were applied for long-term trend projection to 2030 using the Bayesian age- period-cohort model. Menopausal status was stratified by age, with premenopause defined as chronological age < 45 years, perimenopause defined as 45-54 years, and postmenopause defined as ≥ 55 years. Results: Approximately 352,300 incident cases and 74,200 deaths of breast cancer occurred in China in 2020, contributing to 2.6 million disability-adjusted life years (DALYs). Perimenopausal women had the highest inci- dence, prevalence, and DALYs rates, with the rates being 100.3 per 100,000, 819.2 per 100,000 and 723.1 per 100,000 persons. While postmenopausal women had the highest mortality rates (25.5 per 100,000 persons). From 2000 to 2017, the largest increase in incidence and mortality for breast cancer was observed in postmenopausal women with an average annual percentage change (AAPC) of 5.6% and 2.94%. The number of breast cancer cases and deaths will increase to 452,000 and 98,800 in 2030, resulting in 3.2 million DALYs. Conclusions: The burden of breast cancer is rapidly increasing in China and varies among different menopausal status. Specific prevention and control strategies for women in different menopausal status will be more helpful in reducing the rapidly growing trends of breast cancer.展开更多

The ungulates in Xinjiang included 19 ungulate species (30 subspecies) from 6 families and 2 orders. Among them, 3 species (2 subspecies) relate to Equidae (Per- risodactyla), and 16 species (28 subspecies) are from 5 families of Artiodactyla. In this paper, we analyzed the conservation status of most rare and important 13 ungulate species. Firstly, we proposed the protec- tion of genetic diversity of Camelus ferus and the distribution areas of Moschus sifanicus, Procapra przewalskii and Saiga tatarica in Xinjiang. We found that Moschus sifanicus but not Procapra przewalskii distributed in Xinjiang. It was not clear whether the remnant populations of Saiga tatarica existed in Xinjiang and China-Kazakhstan border or not. We discussed that the protection level and rational use of Capra si- birica and enhancing protection level and enlarging monitoring and research projects for Pantholops hodgsoni and Gazella subgutturosa. And we would like to suggest Forestry Department to develop the captive breeding of Tibetan antelope for rational use. In addition, the captive breeding of Cervus elaphus in Xinjiang was reviewed. Local government should lessen strong control to Cervus elaphus because of many breeding centers' establishment.展开更多

From a comprehensive review of the VER trading and offsetting mechanisms since 2013, this study analyses the quality management of the Chinese Certified Emission Reduction (CCER) in the pilot carbon markets, conducts a comparative analysis of the geographical and field distributions of proposed and registered projects and emission reductions and provides the CCER supply outlook for 2020 in the aspects of on record, project registration, emission reduction registration and emission reduction issuance. Results show that the potential number of CCER projects by 2020 will be 2,864, 1,047, 818, and 286 with the corresponding emission reductions amounting to 493, 212, 133, and 49 million tCO2e, respectively. Although considerable progress has been made, China remains confronted with many challenges in developing the VER trading system. Accordingly, policy stability and continuity and guarding against market risks should be maintained to enable the system to play a substantial role in promoting ecological progress and green low-carbon development in China.展开更多

To assess the benthic ecological status in Liaodong Bay, AZTI's Marine Biotic Index (AMBI) and multivariate-AMBI (MoAMBI) were applied using both benthic macroinvertebrate density and biomass data collected from Liaodong Bay in July 2007. This first application of AMBI and M-AMBI in Liaodong Bay showed that the nearshore areas of the bay, especially near river estuaries, were severely disturbed, with a clear gradient of disturbance decreasing seaward. Ecological status assessed from density and biomass data was quite similar. Significant relationships were also found between both indices and environmental variables in Liaodong Bay. Moreover, the spatial distributions of both AMBI and M-AMBI matched those of plotted eutrophication indices (EI) in the surface water layer, and significant linear correlations were found between both benthic indices and EI. In general, both AMBI and M-AMBI worked well on assessing the ecological status of Liaodong Bay under eutrophication stress due to excess nutrients inputs.展开更多

Each 1℃ rise of temperature corresponded to an increase of 10.23% (95% CI 7.68% to 12.83%) in the monthly number of DF cases, whereas l hPa rise of atmospheric pressure corresponded to a decrease in the number of cases by 5.14% (95% CI: 7.10%-3.14%). Likewise, each one meter per second rise in wind velocity led to an increase by 43.80% or 107.53%, and one percent rise of relative humidity led to an increase by 2.04% or 2.19%.

文摘Based on a long-term field investigation and other research results, we reviewed the status and distribution of ungulates in Xinjiang, China. Local government should lessen strong control to Cervus elaphus because of many breeding centers' establishment.

文摘The voluntary emission reduction (VER) trading mechanism has played an important role in China’s seven pilot carbon markets. Accordingly, policy stability and continuity and guarding against market risks should be maintained to enable the system to play a substantial role in promoting ecological progress and green low-carbon development in China.
文摘There are five Species of swan in the world. Three of them were recorded in China. They are whooper swan(Cygnus cygnus ). whistling swan (Cygnus columbianus ) and mute swan (Cygnus olor). Among them. whooper swan is themost famous in China. Whooper swan is a resident bird in China. They breed in Xinjiang Ugyur Autonomous Region. InnerMongol Autonomous Region, Hcilongiiang Province. etc.. and winter in Qinghai. Shandong. Henan Provincc. etc.. and thelower reaches of the Changjiang River. The total number in China is about 5.000 in breeding grounds and 15.000 in winter-ing grounds. Higher number Were found in 1960s. Because of the changes in environment and hunting, of picking up eggsand of catching nestlings. their population is being reduced rapidly. They are in danger now. In order to protect the whooperswans. some protection measuresmust be taken. such as strcngthening public education and scientitic research- establishinga base of raising and breeding; deieloping intcrnational cooperation. strengthening the construction of natural reserves in thebreeding and wintering grounds. Up to the cnd of 1993. 34 natural reserves have been established in China.
文摘Based on defition of desertification in Intematonal Convention toCombat Desertfication. and on China's situation, desenification is found notonly In and and senuand ropons but also in huAnd and subhunud ropons. InChina the desertified land area has already reached 1,1 17,000kin2, or 11.6percen of China's total land area. Of which 33.2 percent is caused by winderosion, 33.8 percen by water erosion and 33.0 percen by physical andchemical actions. Besides- another 535,000 kin2 of land is susceptible to wind erosion, 875,000 km2 to water erosion and 173,000 km2 to saliruzation.Land desertification in China is the result Of over growth of populahon and irrational human aCtivities, such as abuse of water res ou rces, overculti vati on'overgrazlng. deforestaion, vopation destruCtion and envirormental polluton caused by industry and nurung under fragile ecological conditions. In recat decades, reverse tronds have occurred in mpons under proper conrol.However. on the Whole it has beenexpanding. For instance, sandy desertification develops at an annual rate of 1.39 percen in agropastoral ropons in Northem China. This paper is supposed to evaluate the curren conrol measures and practices of desertification- in ligh of the distributon characteristics and developmedl trend of land desertification in China.

文摘Rapid economic development in recent decades has resulted in environmental degradation of Liaodong Bay, North China, where eutrophication is becoming more evident because of excess nutrients inputs. In general, both AMBI and M-AMBI worked well on assessing the ecological status of Liaodong Bay under eutrophication stress due to excess nutrients inputs.

文摘Huaihe River Basin(HRB) is located in China’s north-south climatic transition zone, which is very sensitive to global climate change.Based on the daily maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and precipitation data of 40 meteorological stations and nine monthly large-scale ocean-atmospheric circulation indices data during 1959–2019,we present an assessment of the spatial and temporal variations of extreme temperature and precipitation events in the HRB using nine extreme climate indices, and analyze the teleconnection relationship between extreme climate indices and large-scale ocean-atmospheric circulation indices. The results show that warm extreme indices show a significant(P < 0.05) increasing trend, while cold extreme indices(except for cold spell duration) and diurnal temperature range(DTR) show a significant decreasing trend.Furthermore, all extreme temperature indices show significant mutations during 1959-2019.Spatially,a stronger warming trend occurs in eastern HRB than western HRB,while maximum 5-d precipitation(Rx5day) and rainstorm days(R25) show an increasing trend in the southern, central, and northwestern regions of HRB.Arctic oscillation(AO),Atlantic multidecadal oscillation(AMO),and East Atlantic/Western Russia(EA/WR) have a stronger correlation with extreme climate indices compared to other circulation indices.AO and AMO(EA/WR) exhibit a significant(P < 0.05) negative(positive)correlation with frost days and diurnal temperature range.Extreme warm events are strongly correlated with the variability of AMO and EA/WR in most parts of HRB,while extreme cold events are closely related to the variability of AO and AMO in eastern HRB.In contrast,AMO,AO,and EA/WR show limited impacts on extreme precipitation events in most parts of HRB.

文摘Sustainable intensification of cultivated land use(SICLU) and large-scale operations(LSO) are widely acknowledged strategies for enhancing agricultural performance. However, the existing literature has faced challenges in precisely defining SICLU and constructing comprehensive indicators, which has hindered the exploration of factors influencing LSO within the SICLU framework. To address this gap,we integrated self-efficacy theory into the design of an index framework for evaluating SICLU.We subsequently employed econometric models to analyze the significant factors that impact LSO.Our findings reveal that SICLU can be divided into four key dimensions:intensive management, efficient output, resource conservation, and ecological environment optimization.Furthermore,it is crucial to incorporate belief-based cognitive factors into the index system,as farmers’ understanding of fertilizer and pesticide application significantly influences their willingness to engage in LSO.Moreover,we identify grain market turnover as the most influential factor in promoting LSO,with single-factor contribution rates reaching 70.9% for cultivated land transfer willingness and 62.5% for the total planting areas.Interestingly, unlike irrigation and agricultural machinery inputs, increased labor inputs correspond to larger planting areas for farmers. This trend may be attributed to reduced labor availability because of rural labor migration, whereas the reduction in irrigation and agricultural input is contingent on innovations in production practices and the transfer of cultivated land management rights.Importantly,SICLU dynamically influences LSO,with each index related to SICLU having an optimal range that fosters LSO.These insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers, emphasizing farmers as their central focus, with the adjustment of input and output factors as a means to achieve LSO as the ultimate goal.In conclusion,we propose research avenues for further enriching the SICLU framework to ensure that it aligns with the specific characteristics of regional agricultural development.

文摘Data on discrete, isolated attributes of the marine economy are often used in traditional marine economic research. However,as the focus of urban research shifts from internal static attributes to external dynamic linkages, the importance of marine economic net-work research is beginning to emerge. The construction of the marine economic network in China’s coastal areas is necessary to change the flow of land and sea resources and optimize regional marine economic development.Employing data from headquarters and branches of sea-related A-share listed enterprises to construct the marine economic network in China,we use social network analysis(SNA)to discuss the characteristics of its evolution as of 2010,2015,and 2020 and its governance. The following results were obtained.1)In terms of topological characteristics, the scale of the marine economic network in China’s coastal areas has accelerated and expan-ded,and the connections have become increasingly close;thus, this development has complex network characteristics.2)In terms of spatial structure, the intensity of the connection fluctuates and does not form stable development support;the group structure gradually becomes clear, but the overall pattern is fragmented;there are spatial differences in marine economic agglomeration radiation;the radi-ation effect of the eastern marine economic circle is obvious;and the polarization effect of northern and southern marine economic circles is significant. On this basis,we construct a framework for the governance of a marine economic network with the market, the government, and industry as the three governing bodies.By clarifying the driving factors and building objectives of marine economic network construction, this study aims to foster the high-quality development of China’s marine economy.
