《文艺俱乐部》与中国“新剧”

一百多年前,中日两国之间通过一个刊物展开了戏剧交流,该刊物的名字叫《文艺俱乐部》,是东京博文馆发行的月刊杂志。从1906年到1913年,在短短八年间,登载于该刊的六部剧作由徐半梅等人翻译成汉语被介绍到中国。当时在中国,新剧(又称文明戏)的原创剧本很少。在这种情况下,从《文艺俱乐部》翻译过来的这些中文剧本对中国近代剧的发展起了很大的作用。这些剧作其实都是根据欧洲作家的作品翻译改编的。这说明,当时的中日两国对西方文学.戏剧的借鉴和吸收是有很多相似之处的。
