Teaching Chinese characters is popular all over the world, so Chinese character teaching experience at home should be made good use of and transplanted. Thus, we must first lay a good foundation of spoken Chinese to learn Chinese characters. Spoken language takes the lead, followed by literacy. At the beginning of teaching Chinese characters, we should focus on literacy, and implement in teaching materials and in classroom. Teaching should be paid attention to dispersing the difficulties, which should be progressively possessed step by step, with appropriate burden. We should take full advantage of the features of Chinese characters for teaching. From the reality of students, teaching arrangement is made. We should train teachers, and design teaching plans at different levels by judicious use of modem teaching methods. In the teaching materials, the amount of recognized characters is arranged, so that students can learn to read around 1,500 Chinese characters. We should select the species of new characters and arrange the order of emergence. We should teach students to use Pinyin, who should lay an emphasis on four bases. We should pay attention to vocabulary teaching and arrange proper training in writing. During classroom teaching, we should do a good job in: unified glyph, pronunciation, and meaning, and dominated with glyph; links among characters, words, and sentences, mainly based on characters; combination of reading and writing and dominated with reading; dual-purpose of using remembering, comparison, and speaking, mainly based on remembering.展开更多

This change is characterized by structural diversification and non-agricultural development. This paper summarizes China's experiences in the transitional development of village- wide economy, including: sustained growth of agriculture to ensure food security and social stability, regional experiments on the initiative of farmers followed by government recognition and mandate, adherence to the principle of equal starting points and economic democracy in resource allocation, incentives for entrepreneurship, innovation of village-wide elites, and creation of small economic and cultural hubs.展开更多

The re-awakening of feminist consciousness took place in the 1980s and produced many good writers and critics dedicated to the course of women's enlightenment. However, after the International women's Conference in 1990s, the feminist movement took a theoretical and radical turn under the influence of Western feminist theories and their deconslructivist discourses. The dislocated confrontations between the Chinese female consciousness and the Western post-modern culture, along with the abusive application of Western gender study theories, make most of Chinese critics difficult to adopt a tolerant attitude toward Chinese experience, and tend to be hegemonic towards critics emphasizing reason and rationality. Its cultural politics ignored multiple forms of gender experience, and the conflicts between academic and political. This paper re-evaluates the development of Chinese feminist criticism of post-1980s China. And it proposes the Chinese feminist criticism should first and foremost be based on local experience of Chinese women, and then explores gender problems for Chinese readers.展开更多

Oman and China have started large-scale communications in maritime civilizations through the vast Indian Ocean in Han Dynasty, and the exchanges reached the peak in Tang Dynasty. These exchanges gradually declined with the rise of Western navigation industry. Since the founding of the modem nation-state system, the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Muscat regime in Oman have some conflicts in diplomacy. The relations between two nations, however, began to improve after the mid-1970s, and the formal diplomatic relations was established in 1978. Since then, both countries have enjoyed rapid development in the fields of politics, culture and particularly in economics. China and Oman became important regional economic and trade partners. Whether seen from the perspective of historical contacts or the trend of present economic development, the One Belt and One Road Initiative (OBOR) has providing a golden opportunity for cooperation between China and Oman, at the same time, this initiative has received active response from Oman. In general, China and Oman's cooperation is a typical model in the Middle East, and two countries have made many cooperation achievements under OBOR, such as the China-Oman Industrial Park in Duqm. There are also some investment risks either on micro level or macro level, which require more attention from both government and enterprises of China.展开更多

This stance, however, is contrary to the findings in this paper. This paper asserts that China's experience in reducing rural poverty should be attributed to: (1) its earlier, unbalanced economic development strategies, which gave priority to heavy industries and industrialization and led to the economic boom," and (2) the expansion of non-agricultural sectors, which enabled poor rural households to engage in non-agricultural production. Thus, the key impetus to reducing poverty in rural China is industrialization. Due to its large population but limited farmlands, it may not be a good strategy for China to make agricultural development a priority because its relatively low value added and net profits are inept to promote economic development and reduce rural poverty.展开更多
