Methods: Eighty-two patients of SINS were randomly divided into two groups. The 41 patients in the TCM-WM group were treated with prednisone, Cytoxan (CTX) and Chinese medicinal herbs according to Syndrome-type, and the 41 patients in the control group were treated with western medicine alone. The clinical remission rate and time, recurrence rate in patients as well as adverse reaction rate occurred were observed. Results: The complete remission rate and total effective rate of the TCM-WM group were 58.5% and 85.4%, which were significantly higher than those of the control group (39.0% and 63.4%, P<0.01). The adverse reaction rate in the TCM-WM group was 36.6%, which was significantly lower than that of the control group (80.5%, P<0.01). A follow-up of 35.1±9.7 months showed that there was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups (P>0.05), but the average remission period (30.6±3.8 months) of the TCM-WM group was significantly longer than that of the control group (12.7±3.7 months, P<0.01). Conclusion: TCM-WM treatment is obviously superior to that with western medicine alone in increasing clinical remission rate, relieving adverse reaction rate and extending remission period.展开更多

Methods: One hundred patients of IPCP were divided equally into two groups, the TCM-WM group treated with Maqin Qizhu Decoction combining with antibiotics and the control group treated with antibiotics alone. Efficacy of the two groups was compared after 1 course(15)days) of treatment. Results: The total effective rate of the TCM-WM group was better than that of the control group. Moreover, the days needed in curing coughing, dyspnea, rales and X-ray shadow absorption of the former were fewer than those of the latter. Conclusion: The integrated TCM-WM therapy in treating IPCP could both inhibit the pathogens effectively and improve the humoral immunity and resistant ability of organism.展开更多

文摘On March 3,2020,the National Health Commission and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China jointly promulgated the Notice on Printing and Distributing the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia(Trial Version 7).The content has been revised and supplemented on the basis of the Version 6,including etiological characteristics and pathological changes in lung, heart, kidney, spleen, liver, gallbladder, esophagus, stomach and intestinal mucosal epithelium. In particular, the diagnosis and treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine are supplemented. It provides an evidence-based diagnosis and treatment protocol for the treatment and recovery of suspected and confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
文摘This paper is a discussion of Professor Tang Nong’s approach to the diagnosis and treatment of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)while providing a case report at the end.Professor Tang Nong considered that the main etiologies of the disease are"cold, wet, and poisonous."He suggested resolving the body’s dampness by balancing internal organ functions, detoxifying the lungs, and providing heat. However, the treatment of cold with herbs and cleansing heat must not be performed too early to prevent the spread of the disease.Using principles from the basic theory of Fuyang Pai from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),this project used the Huashi Qingfei immune formula(modified Guizhi Erchen decoction),which has been shown to be effective,to treat patients diagnosed with COVID-19.At present, the participation of TCM in our hospital is over 96%with a cure rate of approximately 90%.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine (TCM-WM) in treating senile idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (SINS). Conclusion: TCM-WM treatment is obviously superior to that with western medicine alone in increasing clinical remission rate, relieving adverse reaction rate and extending remission period.
文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in treating infantile protracted chronic pneumonia (IPCP). Conclusion: The integrated TCM-WM therapy in treating IPCP could both inhibit the pathogens effectively and improve the humoral immunity and resistant ability of organism.
