Pioneering a New Realm of Human Rights Civilization in the Chinese Path to Modernization——An Overview of the Symposium on“The Chinese Path to Modernization and the Promotion of Free and Comprehensive Human Development”

On October 14,2023,a symposium themed“The Chinese Path to Modernization and the Promotion of Free and Comprehensive Human Development”was held in Changchun,Jilin Province,China.More than fifty experts,scholars,and researchers from national institutions and universities engaged in discussions and exchanges on human rights on the Chinese path to modernization,including the path,practice,knowledge systems,and civilization forms of human rights.This symposium played a significant role in advancing the construction of the disciplinary system,academic system,and discourse system of human rights in China.

Research on the Chinese Path to Modernization in History,Key Topics,and Outlook:A Cite Space-based Bibliometric Analysis

In the speech delivered at the centenary celebration of the Communist Party of China(CPC),Xi Jinping,general secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee,made important remarks on the“Chinese path to modernization.”This term represents the latest achievement China has scored in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times.It has set the course as China embarks on a new journey of building a strong socialist country with Chinese characteristics and achieving national rejuvenation.Drawing on CiteSpace,we conducted a visualized bibliometric analysis of literature on the Chinese path to modernization by searching the CNKI database using subject terms such as“Chinese modernization,Chinese path to modernization,and Chinese-style modernization.”The findings reveal that:(a)Research on the Chinese path to modernization has gone through three stages:initial establishment,pioneering exploration,and comprehensive in-depth development.(b)Existing literature has covered the four key topics associated with the Chinese path to modernization,namely its essence,goal,methodology,and pioneering achievements.(c)Future research may focus on building up China’s strength in agriculture,developing the digital economy,modernizing China’s system and capacity for governance,and establishing a unique socialist discourse system for Chinese modernization.

The Realization Path of Japan's Agricultural Modernization and Its Precious Experience for China

In Japan, the per capita arable land area is small, the natural resources are short, and agricultural production has the typical characteristics of the peasant economy. Even if there are many unfavorable conditions, the level of agricultural modernization of Japan has exceeded that of many developed countries. We conduct comparative analysis on the development characteristics of China's agriculture and Japan's agriculture, and summarize the realization path of Japan's agricultural modernization. Based on the reality of China, we can draw on the following experience from Japan: establishing and improving the agricultural legislation for agriculture; improving the rural cooperative economic organizations; deepening the reform of the agricultural land property right system; increasing the government's direct funds input of into agriculture; improving the agricultural technology extension system.

Discussion on the Origin of Chinese Modernization from the Perspective of Classical Marxist Theory

Chinese modernization is socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,and it is the contemporary form of Chinese socialist modernization under the grand historical vision,which has considerable research value.This paper mainly combines the theoretical vision with the historical vision,studies and discusses the origin of Chinese modernization,from China’s“Oriental society,”a modern prehistoric social form,to modern China stepping on the socialist road under the basic circumstances of world history,and takes the initiative to master the relevant logic of the historical trend.This paper also presents the research and discussion on why it is possible for modern China to realize Chinese modernization,and to solve the problem of the origin of Chinese modernization in theory and historical logic.

These measures can effectively promote the development of agriculture, and realize the agricultural modernization in China.

The Justification Logic of Human Rights in Chinese Modernization

As the fruits and symbols of human civilization, human rights are pursued by people all over the world. Respecting and protecting human rights is the basic spirit of modern civilization, so it is something inherent in the concept of modernization. Chinese modernization is socialist modernization pursued under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. It contains elements common to the modernization processes of all countries, but it is more characterized by features unique to the Chinese context. It is a new path to modernization and creates a new model for human advancement. on the road to promoting Chinese modernization, China cultivated innovative human rights jurisprudence, constructed an optimized human rights system, opened up a developmental human rights approach, established a harmonious human rights relationship, and continuously promoted the well-rounded development of the people. China created a theoretical,institutional, and practical paradigm for respecting and protecting human rights that follows the principle of universal human rights and suits the local conditions, opening up a new realm of human rights civilization of mankind. The successful promotion and expansion of Chinese modernization have justified that China has found a path of human rights development that conforms to the trend of the times and suits its national conditions. The modernization of more than 1.4 billion Chinese people, a number larger than the total population of all developed countries in the world today, and the new path of human rights development will change the basic pattern of human rights development in the world and profoundly influence the process and trend of human rights civilization of mankind.

System analysis and path choice for modern agricultural development:a case study of Suzhou

From the view of system theory, modern agriculture in a region embodies elements conformity, structure optimization, multi-functionality and sustainable development. This paper f irst expounds on the relationship among agricultural elements, structure, function and development theoretically, compartmentalizes agriculture types based on human-land elements matching, and depicts the development path of agricultural multi-functionality. It shows that the matching of human-land elements is a key to agricultural types, and the multi-functionality is an indication of agricultural development stages. At last, as a case study of Suzhou in eastern coastal area, the paper analyzes the evolvement situation and developing mechanism and some typical models of modern agriculture which suit to agriculture system evolvement. The results show that in Suzhou the agriculture productivity has improved greatly. And along with the agriculture structure optimizing, agriculture function has translated from "production" to "non-production and production". With simulation of agricultural trend in Suzhou, it is found that Suzhou has a LP-dependence (labor productivity) on agricultural element, so Suzhou will has much more potential in land productivity. Based on the above analysis on agricultural system, some typical patterns on modern agriculture in Suzhou are brought up, such as export-oriented agriculture, enterprises-leading agriculture, science and technology parks agriculture, stereoscopic agriculture, and tourism and sightseeing agriculture.

中国式现代化体育是为满足全体人民体育需要,从传统体育向现代体育发展转向的具有中国特色的社会主义体育现代化。现代化已成为我国体育事业发展新诉求、新目标、新征程,加快推进中国式现代化体育发展是促进中国式现代化的必然选择。运用文献资料法与逻辑分析法,基于社会支持系统四要素“主体—客体—内容—手段”为逻辑主线,分析中国式现代化体育发展的现实困境。研究认为:主体供给乏力制约中国式现代化体育支持网络的形成,客体动力不足制约中国式现代化体育的普遍参与,支持内容贫乏阻滞中国式现代化体育的全面发展,支持手段有限阻碍中国式现代化体育的社会联结。实现多元主体支持,为中国式现代化体育供给提供有效保障;提升客体参与动力,为中国式现代化体育参与提供内生动力;丰富内容体系构建,为中国式现代化体育发展创造良好条件;改善社会支持手段,为中国式现代化体育发展提供关键支撑等纾解策略。

大国竞争背景下新质生产力形成的理论逻辑与实现路径
