Analyzed by the equivalent-circuits method and simulated by HFSS, a rule derived from simulated results that can aid to design the microstrip antennas is found. Finally, the structure parameters are optimized out, Which reaches 44.67% impedance bandwidth. Furthermore, this kind of configuration can also be applied to the multi-laver patch antenna.展开更多

Texture synthesis has been developed for several years.The traditional technique can generate a larger image from a small image while avoid feeling of repetition or uncontinuity.Some constrained synthesis methods whic...Texture synthesis has been developed for several years.The traditional technique can generate a larger image from a small image while avoid feeling of repetition or uncontinuity.Some constrained synthesis methods which can synthesize image according to special location demand or other demands have been also proposed in recent years.However,in general,these constrained texture synthesis methods are simple and have few controllable factors to meet user's diverse needs.To control multiple-sample texture synthesis more flexibly in various aspects such as synthesis location,proportion and semantic objects,we present an interactive texture synthesis approach based on circular patches and constrained by objects according to a certain ratio.With this approach,source exemplars and the target image are firstly divided into several regions with different characters.Users can click the blocks in the source exemplars and the want-to-be-synthesized region in the target image,and then texture in the target image is synthesized with the corresponding regions in the source exemplars.In the process of texture synthesis,circular patch instead of square patch is used to eliminate the aliasing phenomena.Images are synthesized from multiple sample images with ratio constraint and experiments on images show that our approach can get effective results of ratio-constrained multi-sample synthesis.展开更多

Circular polarization (CP) is realized by introducing a diagonal slot at the...This paper presents the design of a fully packaged 60 GHz wideband patch antenna incorporating an air cavity and a fused silica superstrate. Circular polarization (CP) is realized by introducing a diagonal slot at the center of the square patch. By optimizing the patch and the slot dimensions, a high efficiency (>90%) microstrip fed CP antenna with an impedance bandwidth of 24% and a 6 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 21.5% is designed. A coplanar waveguide (CPW) to microstrip transition with λ/4-open-ended stubs are then designed to match the antenna to the CPW packaging interface. The experimental results of the final packaged antenna agree reasonably with the simulation results, demonstrating an impedance bandwidth of more than 26% and a 6 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 22.7%.展开更多

The antenna consists of parallel slots loaded circular disk with defected ground structure antenna (DGS). The antenna without DGS, acts like wide band antenna and bandwidth is 34.45% (3.47 - 4.92 GHz) with maximum gain of 4.97 dBi, which can be used in WiMax application. This structure has the following advantages: 1) co-axial feeding technique, which is very simple as compared to other feeding technique, 2) simple and cost effective and 3) it is more efficient than the antenna without DGS. The effect of patch size and cut size is investigated, showing that the resonant frequency of the antenna can be changed by simply changing the patch size. The reflection, axial ratio, and radiation characteristics of the antenna are found. Measurements were carried out to verify the design. The antenna is compact in structure, which is attractive in the application as the satellite communication terminals.展开更多

The proposed single and dual band antennas showed omnidirectional radiation pattern with the gain values of 3.5 dBi at 2.45 GHz, 4.0 dBi at 3.45 GHz, and 3.3 dBi at 5.5 GHz. The dual band antenna array was placed on both top and bottom layers to obtain the desired antenna characteristics. The proposed double-sided dual band antenna provides omnidirectional radiation pattern with high gain.展开更多
