But in the development at the same time, some of the issues are inevitable. The rapid development of the cities has attracted a large population, and there are more and more large factories, so that there is more and more pollution in the life and production, which brings greater security risks to the human life and health, and let the cities more difficult to manage. So how to solve these problems and make the cities develop better is a problem worth pondering.展开更多

Material resources and administrative components are the indispensable two wings to form competitiveness. The city economic expansion and urbanization of China nowadays speed up the growth of the city innovation system. The city management provides practical development platform for the city's fast development. However, serious challenges also appear in many fields of the city in our country. Especially the shortage of institution caused the higher cost of the city economy and social development, and even the massive losses that cannot be compensated.展开更多

For lake pollution situation,we put forward comprehensive management and protection approaches of lakes, including the relocation of businesses around the lake, plugging the sewage outfall surrounding lakes, dredging and deeply digging to increase the water environment capacity of lake. By dredging the river, the lakes in urban district connect together. Controlling aquaculture scale of lakes, the ecological function of the lake is played. Constructing drainage network around the lake, integration of landscape and lake flood control is formed. Adding new water into lakes, stagnant water becomes flowing water. We sum up the experience of lake management and protection: strengthening protection awareness is the key; lake remediation is the fundamental; attention to ecological protection of the lake is the most important factor in the development of lakes; exploiting a variety of functions of the lakes including landscaping, tourism, recreation, aquaculture, public health is the goal.展开更多

More and more big corporations are interested in this topic to develop their businesses, as several issues are linked to these projects, like environment, water management, energy policies, education, culture, and so on. In literature these issues, known as drivers, were also related to sustainability aims which could be reached through the accomplishment of better performances within environment, economy, and society. This study synthesizes all the different drivers identified by scholars and industry players in a model, in order to use it as a framework to depict the linkages among the various smart cities projects. Since transport resulted as one of the most considered drivers in the analyzed contributions, the research questions were delineated to describe its role in the different phases of smart initiatives, and to understand if it could encourage and enable the other drivers' development. The multiple case study was chosen as the fittest methodological approach and it was conducted with the selection of three smart cities, one for each of the most cited platform models developed by industry players, which had started transport initiatives at least three years ago: Singapore (IBM), Amsterdam (Accenture), and San Francisco (Microsoft). The analysis of the official documents set up by city departments and by the industry players showed transport as a driving force in smart cities projects which conveys a smart approach to different domains, especially energy savings, environment, and safety. The results also showed smart mobility as a pivot in stimulating investments and citizens' participation on different city drivers, especially as it concerns environment and services to both citizens and businesses. Smart transport initiatives, hardware and software infrastructures, technological devices, and people participation to smartization were closely interrelated in smart cities projects and they could be successfully used to achieve sustainability aims for different stakeholders.展开更多

Furthermore, it makes current ways of reforming staffs' identity replacement and managers' shareholding mode inefficient in state-owned enterprises reformation in resource-based cities. According to the characteristics of resource-based cities and property right reform theory, cash and share right compensation for the different staffs in the process of staffs' identity replacement have been identified. In addition, different profitable investment policies have also been suggested. For managers' share holding, the stimulant share ownership should be adopted principally, at the same time corresponding restrictions should be set up for managers' investment share ownership due to share ownership structure.展开更多
