In the cloud environment,ensuring a high level of data security is in high demand.Data planning storage optimization is part of the whole security process in the cloud environment.It enables data security by avoiding the risk of data loss and data overlapping.The development of data flow scheduling approaches in the cloud environment taking security parameters into account is insufficient.In our work,we propose a data scheduling model for the cloud environment.Themodel is made up of three parts that together help dispatch user data flow to the appropriate cloudVMs.The first component is the Collector Agent whichmust periodically collect information on the state of the network links.The second one is the monitoring agent which must then analyze,classify,and make a decision on the state of the link and finally transmit this information to the scheduler.The third one is the scheduler who must consider previous information to transfer user data,including fair distribution and reliable paths.It should be noted that each part of the proposedmodel requires the development of its algorithms.In this article,we are interested in the development of data transfer algorithms,including fairness distribution with the consideration of a stable link state.These algorithms are based on the grouping of transmitted files and the iterative method.The proposed algorithms showthe performances to obtain an approximate solution to the studied problem which is an NP-hard(Non-Polynomial solution)problem.The experimental results show that the best algorithm is the half-grouped minimum excluding(HME),with a percentage of 91.3%,an average deviation of 0.042,and an execution time of 0.001 s. 展开更多

In the present scenario of rapid growth in cloud computing models,several companies and users started to share their data on cloud servers.However,when the model is not completely trusted,the data owners face several security-related problems,such as user privacy breaches,data disclosure,data corruption,and so on,during the process of data outsourcing.For addressing and handling the security-related issues on Cloud,several models were proposed.With that concern,this paper develops a Privacy-Preserved Data Security Approach(PP-DSA)to provide the data security and data integrity for the out-sourcing data in Cloud Environment.Privacy preservation is ensured in this work with the Efficient Authentication Technique(EAT)using the Group Signature method that is applied with Third-Party Auditor(TPA).The role of the auditor is to secure the data and guarantee shared data integrity.Additionally,the Cloud Service Provider(CSP)and Data User(DU)can also be the attackers that are to be handled with the EAT.Here,the major objective of the work is to enhance cloud security and thereby,increase Quality of Service(QoS).The results are evaluated based on the model effectiveness,security,and reliability and show that the proposed model provides better results than existing works. 展开更多

With the development of cloud computing technology,more and more data owners upload their local data to the public cloud server for storage and calculation.While this can save customers’operating costs,it also poses privacy and security challenges.Such challenges can be solved using secure multi-party computation(SMPC),but this still exposes more security issues.In cloud computing using SMPC,clients need to process their data and submit the processed data to the cloud server,which then performs the calculation and returns the results to each client.Each client and server must be honest.If there is cooperation or dishonest behavior between clients,some clients may profit from it or even disclose the private data of other clients.This paper proposes the SMPC based on a Partially-Homomorphic Encryption(PHE)scheme in which an addition homomorphic encryption algorithm with a lower computational cost is used to ensure data comparability and Zero-Knowledge Proof(ZKP)is used to limit the client’s malicious behavior.In addition,the introduction of Oblivious Transfer(OT)technology also ensures that the semi-honest cloud server knows nothing about private data,so that the cloud server of this scheme can calculate the correct data in the case of malicious participant models and safely return the calculation results to each client.Finally,the security analysis shows that the scheme not only ensures the privacy of participants,but also ensures the fairness of the comparison protocol data. 展开更多

Ease and amount of storage and computational services provisions were not previously accessible or affordable. However, parallel to this explosion has been significant security risk concerns. Thus, it is important to understand and define these security risks in a cybersecurity framework. This paper will take a case study approach to approach past security risks and propose a model that can be followed by organizations to eliminate the risk of Cloud-related cyberattacks. The main aims of this systematic literature review (SLR) are to (1) address security risks/vulnerabilities that can target cloud environments, (2) define tools that can be used by organizations to defend their cloud environment against those security risks/vulnerabilities, and (3) analyze case studies of significant cyberattacks and provide recommendations for organizations to mitigate such cyberattacks. Some of the significant new technologies researched in recent studies include BlockChain(BC),Software Defined Networking(SDN),and Smart Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT).All three technologies provide data integrity,confidentiality,and integrity in their respective use cases(especially in industrial fields).Additionally,cloud computing has been in use for several years now.Confidential information is exchanged with cloud infrastructure to provide clients with access to distant resources,such as computing and storage activities in the IIoT.There are also significant security risks,concerns,and difficulties associated with cloud computing.To address these challenges,we propose merging BC and SDN into a cloud computing platform for the IIoT.This paper introduces“DistB-SDCloud”,an architecture for enhanced cloud security for smart IIoT applications.The proposed architecture uses a distributed BC method to provide security,secrecy,privacy,and integrity while remaining flexible and scalable.Customers in the industrial sector benefit from the dispersed or decentralized,and efficient environment of BC.Additionally,we described an SDN method to improve the durability,stability,and load balancing of cloud infrastructure.The efficacy of our SDN and BC-based implementation was experimentally tested by using various parameters including throughput,packet analysis,response time,bandwidth,and latency analysis,as well as the monitoring of several attacks on the system itself. 展开更多

Cloud computing is a technology that provides secure storage space for the customer’s massive data and gives them the facility to retrieve and transmit their data efficiently through a secure network in which encryption and decryption algorithms are being deployed.In cloud computation,data processing,storage,and transmission can be done through laptops andmobile devices.Data Storing in cloud facilities is expanding each day and data is the most significant asset of clients.The important concern with the transmission of information to the cloud is security because there is no perceivability of the client’s data.They have to be dependent on cloud service providers for assurance of the platform’s security.Data security and privacy issues reduce the progression of cloud computing and add complexity.Nowadays;most of the data that is stored on cloud servers is in the form of images and photographs,which is a very confidential form of data that requires secured transmission.In this research work,a public key cryptosystem is being implemented to store,retrieve and transmit information in cloud computation through a modified Rivest-Shamir-Adleman(RSA)algorithm for the encryption and decryption of data.The implementation of a modified RSA algorithm results guaranteed the security of data in the cloud environment.To enhance the user data security level,a neural network is used for user authentication and recognition.Moreover;the proposed technique develops the performance of detection as a loss function of the bounding box.The Faster Region-Based Convolutional Neural Network(Faster R-CNN)gets trained on images to identify authorized users with an accuracy of 99.9%on training. 展开更多

Cloud computing provides services to users through Internet.This open mode not only facilitates the access by users,but also brings potential security risks.In cloud computing,the risk of data leakage exists between users and virtual machines.Whether direct or indirect data leakage,it can be regarded as illegal information flow.Methods,such as access control models can control the information flow,but not the covert information flow.Therefore,it needs to use the noninterference models to detect the existence of illegal information flow in cloud computing architecture.Typical noninterference models are not suitable to certificate information flow in cloud computing architecture.In this paper,we propose several information flow models for cloud architecture.One model is for transitive cloud computing architecture.The others are for intransitive cloud computing architecture.When concurrent access actions execute in the cloud architecture,we want that security domain and security domain do not affect each other,that there is no information flow between security domains.But in fact,there will be more or less indirect information flow between security domains.Our models are concerned with how much information is allowed to flow.For example,in the CIP model,the other domain can learn the sequence of actions.But in the CTA model,the other domain can’t learn the information.Which security model will be used in an architecture depends on the security requirements for that architecture. 展开更多

Cloud computing plays a very important role in the development of business and competitive edge for many organisations including SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). Every cloud user continues to expect maximum service, and a critical aspect to this is cloud security which is one among other specific challenges hindering adoption of the cloud technologies. The absence of appropriate, standardised and self-assessing security frameworks of the cloud world for SMEs becomes an endless problem in developing countries and can expose the cloud computing model to major security risks which threaten its potential success within the country. This research presents a security framework for assessing security in the cloud environment based on the Goal Question Metrics methodology. The developed framework produces a security index that describes the security level accomplished by an evaluated cloud computing environment thereby providing the first line of defence. This research has concluded with an eight-step framework that could be employed by SMEs to assess the information security in the cloud. The most important feature of the developed security framework is to devise a mechanism through which SMEs can have a path of improvement along with understanding of the current security level and defining desired state in terms of security metric value. 展开更多

Data pre-deployment in the HDFS (Hadoop distributed file systems) is more complicated than that in traditional file systems. There are many key issues need to be addressed, such as determining the target location of the data prefetching, the amount of data to be prefetched, the balance between data prefetching services and normal data accesses. Aiming to solve these problems, we employ the characteristics of digital ocean information service flows and propose a deployment scheme which combines input data prefetching with output data oriented storage strategies. The method achieves the parallelism of data preparation and data processing, thereby massively reducing I/O time cost of digital ocean cloud computing platforms when processing multi-source information synergistic tasks. The experimental results show that the scheme has a higher degree of parallelism than traditional Hadoop mechanisms, shortens the waiting time of a running service node, and significantly reduces data access conflicts. 展开更多

It is an emerging technology that provides services over the internet: Utilizing the online services of different software. Many works have been carried out and various security frameworks relating to the security issues of cloud computing have been proposed in numerous ways. But they do not propose a quantitative approach to analyze and evaluate privacy and security in cloud computing systems. In this research, we try to introduce top security concerns of cloud computing systems, analyze the threats and propose some countermeasures for them. We use a quantitative security risk assessment model to present a multilayer security framework for the solution of the security threats of cloud computing systems. For evaluating the performance of the proposed security framework we have utilized an Own-Cloud platform using a 64-bit quad-core processor based embedded system. Own-Cloud platform is quite literally as any analytics, machine learning algorithms or signal processing techniques can be implemented using the vast variety of Python libraries built for those purposes. In addition, we have proposed two algorithms, which have been deployed in the Own-Cloud for mitigating the attacks and threats to cloud-like reply attacks, DoS/DDoS, back door attacks, Zombie, etc. Moreover, unbalanced RSA based encryption is used to reduce the risk of authentication and authorization. Cloud computing is excessively used by mobile applications to offload data over the network to the cloud. There are some security and privacy concerns using both mobile devices to offload data to the facilities provided by the cloud providers. One of the critical threats facing cloud users is the unauthorized access by the insiders (cloud administrators) or the justification of location where the cloud providers operating. Although, there exist variety of security mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access by unauthorized user by the cloud administration, but there is no security provision to prevent unauthorized access by the cloud administrators to the client data on the cloud computing. In this paper, we demonstrate how steganography, which is a secrecy method to hide information, can be used to enhance the security and privacy of data (images) maintained on the cloud by mobile applications. Our proposed model works with a key, which is embedded in the image along with the data, to provide an additional layer of security, namely, confidentiality of data. A Service Level Agreement(SLA) is a legal contract between any two parties to ensure an adequate Quality of Service(Qo S). Most research on SLAs has concentrated on protecting the user data through encryption. However, these methods can not supervise a cloud service provider(CSP) directly. In order to address this problem, we propose a privacy-based SLA violation detection model for cloud computing based on Markov decision process theory. This model can recognize and regulate CSP's actions based on specific requirements of various users. Additionally, the model could make effective evaluation to the credibility of CSP, and can monitor events that user privacy is violated. Experiments and analysis indicate that the violation detection model can achieve good results in both the algorithm's convergence and prediction effect. 展开更多

Such services enable the organizations to scale-up or scale-down their in-house foundations. Generally, cloud services are provided by a third-party supplier who possesses the arrangement. Cloud computing has many advantages such as flexibility, efficiency, scalability, integration, and capital reduction. Moreover, it provides an advanced virtual space for organizations to deploy their applications or run their operations. With disregard to the possible benefits of cloud computing services, the organizations are reluctant to invest in cloud computing mainly due to security concerns. Security is one of the main challenges that hinder the growth of cloud computing. At the same time, service providers strive to reduce the risks over the clouds and increase their reliability in order to build mutual trust between them and the cloud customers. Various security issues and challenges are discussed in this research, and possible opportunities are stated. 展开更多
