In this editorial,we review the work of Razali et al published in World J Gas-troenterology,with a particular focus on the effect of rs10889677 variation in the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)pathway and buparlisi...In this editorial,we review the work of Razali et al published in World J Gas-troenterology,with a particular focus on the effect of rs10889677 variation in the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)pathway and buparlisib on colitis-associated cancer.The role of PI3K in promoting cancer progression has been widely recognized,as it is involved in regulating the survival,differentiation,and prolif-eration of cancer cells.The complement Clq/TNF-related protein 6(CTRP6)is a newer tumor-associated factor.Recent studies have revealed the pro-tumor effect of CTRP6 in gastric cancer,hepatocellular carcinoma,colorectal cancer,and other gastrointestinal tumors through the PI3K pathway.This article attempts to reveal the mechanism through which the CTRP6 affects the development of digestive system tumors through the PI3K pathway by summarizing recent research.展开更多
Clq/TNF-related protein 1(CTRP1),a conserved protein of the Clq family,plays a key role in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.However,the role of CTRP1 in renal injury is unclear.The purpose of this study is to exp...Clq/TNF-related protein 1(CTRP1),a conserved protein of the Clq family,plays a key role in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.However,the role of CTRP1 in renal injury is unclear.The purpose of this study is to explore the role of CTRP1 in unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO)-induced renal fibrosis and to elucidate the underlying mechanism.Using gene delivery system,CTRP1 was overexpressed in the kidney,then the mice were operated to induce UUO model after adenovirus transfection.It was found that the expression of CTRP1 in the renal tissue was decreased in mice after UUO.CTRP1 overexpression decreased the kidney function and kidney weight index.Moreover,CTRP1 reduced oxidative stress and renal collagen deposition in vivo.As expected,we found that CTRP1 activated AMP-activated kinase(AMPK)and decreased NOX4 expression,while silencing AMPKal abolished the protective effects of CTRP1 overexpression in mice after UUO.In conclusion,CTRP1 may protect against UUO-induced renal injury via AMPK/NOX4 signaling.Our results indicate that CTRP1 exhibits potential effects to treat renal fibrosis caused by UUO.展开更多

文摘目的探讨血浆脂肪细胞因子C1q/肿瘤坏死因子相关蛋白-9(C1q/TNF-related protein-9,CTRP-9)、脂联素(adiponectin,APN)及肿瘤坏死因子-α(tumor necrosis factor-α,TNF-α)与冠心病及糖尿病的相关性。方法行冠状动脉造影患者88例,其中单纯冠心病组39例(单纯CHD组)、冠心病合并糖尿病组28例(合并组)、非冠心病及非糖尿病患者21例(对照组),3组均行血生化检测,采用ELISA法检测血浆CTRP-9、APN及TNF-α水平,分析冠心病及糖尿病与相关因素的关系。结果单纯CHD组吸烟比例、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(low density lipoprotein-cholesterol,LDL-C)及TNF-α水平高于对照组,高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(high density lipoprotein cholesterol,HDL-C)、CTRP-9及APN水平低于对照组(P<0.05);合并组血浆TNF-α水平高于单纯CHD组,CTRP-9、APN低于单纯CHD组(P<0.05);合并组血浆LDL-C、TNF-α水平高于对照组,HDL-C、CTRP-9及APN水平低于对照组(P<0.05);年龄(r=0.264,P=0.013)、糖尿病(r=0.394,P=0.000)、TNF-α(r=0.333,P=0.002)及LDL-C(r=0.330,P=0.002)与冠心病呈正相关,CTRP-9(r=-0.383,P=0.000)和APN(r=-0.435,P=0.000)及HDL-C(r=-0.239,P=0.025)与冠心病呈负相关;体质量指数(r=0.233,P=0.029)及TNF-α(r=0.425,P=0.000)与糖尿病呈正相关,CTRP-9(r=-0.350,P=0.001)和APN(r=-0.486,P=0.000)与糖尿病呈负相关;CTRP-9与APN呈正相关(r=0.312,P=0.003),TNF-α与CTRP-9(r=-0.298,P=0.005)及APN(r=-0.324,P=0.002)呈负相关。结论冠心病及糖尿病均与CTRP-9及APN呈负相关,与TNF-α呈正相关;CTRP-9和APN对冠心病及糖尿病有保护作用,TNF-α作用相反。
