Orthogonal experiments were introduced to study the comprehensive effects of such three parameters on diamond films deposited on WC-Co substrates. Field emission scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and Raman spectrum were employed to analyze the morphology, growth rate and composition of as-deposited diamond films. The morphology varies from pyramidal to cluster features with temperature decreasing. It is found that the low total pressure is suitable for nano-crystalline diamond films growth. Moreover, the substrate temperature and total pressure have combined influence on the growth rate of the diamond films.展开更多

Under the static state condition, both the Pd-Cu and Pd-Co plated samples exhibit good corrosion resistance and the Pd-Cu film behaves slightly better. However, with increasing the stirring speed, the corrosion rate of the Pd-Cu plated samples increases obviously while that of the Pd-Co plated samples shows only slight increase. Higher microhardness and lower surface roughness of Pd-Co film than those of Pd-Cu film, as well as good corrosion resistance, may be the main reasons for better erosion-corrosion resistance in the strong reductive acid plus erosion environment.展开更多

The flux, transport diffusivity and activation energy for the pure gases diffusing through carbon membranes with various pore widths were investigated. The simulation results reveal that transport diffusivity increases with temperature and pore width, and its values have a magnitude of 10^-7 m^2·s^-1 for pore widths of about 0.80 to 1.21 nm at 273 to 300 K. The activation energies for the gases diffusion through the membrane with various pore widths are about 1-5 kJ·mol^-1, The results of transport diffusivities are comparable with that of Rao and Sircar (J. Membr. Sci., 1996), indicating the NEMD simulation method is a good tool for predicting the transport diffusivities for gases in porous materials, which is always difficult to be accurately measured by experiments.展开更多
