One is based on satellite communication and the...In order to solve the problem of inter-vehicle communication (IVC) in vast and desolate areas such as the desert and the Gobi, two vehicle network models are proposed. One is based on satellite communication and the other is based on high altitude platform ( HAP ) communication. The system outline and networking modes of the two models are described. In the satellite communication based model, all the vehicles are equipped with vehicle-bone satellite communication on the move terminals and the communication signals between vehicles are forwarded by satellite. In the high altitude platform-based model, the HAPs are equipped with base station facilities to form aerial base stations, and vehicles can communicate with each other via common terrestrial mobile communication devices. Some key parameters such as path loss, link loss and system capacity are also computed. The analysis shows that both the two models can satisfy the requirement of IVC in the descriptive environment.展开更多

The purpose of this paper is to promote the innovation and development of IOV. Firstly, this paper presents general requirements of IOV such as guidelines, basic principles, and the goal of development. Secondly, we analyze critical applications, crucial support, and business model to promote the industrial development of IOV. It also presents the train control and monitoring system (TCMS) software development platform, the TCMS testing and verification bench, the EMU driving simulation platform, and the EMU remote data transmittal and maintenance platform. All these platforms and benches combined together make up the EMU life cycle cost (LCC) system. Each platform facilitates EMU LCC management and is an important part of the system.展开更多

To promote it for both commercial and research purposes, a prototype VoIP system based on state-of-the-art Motorola communication techniques has been developed. It is a gateway system integrating a PBX and a VoIP module. All components that H.323 defines to support VoIP are implemented in the VoIP module, though in a simplified manner. As an embedded system, the system features real timeness and task distributiveness. A number of additional techniques are used to improve the performance, including noise suppression, zero copy, and buffer structure optimization. When refined in interoperability, the system will also readily serve as a product.展开更多
