Ahmed Al-Sadawi is the first Iraqi writer to win the seventh International Prize for Arabic Fiction for his novel Frankenstein in Baghdad.Previously,novels about the Iraq war were written mainly by Americans,the works...Ahmed Al-Sadawi is the first Iraqi writer to win the seventh International Prize for Arabic Fiction for his novel Frankenstein in Baghdad.Previously,novels about the Iraq war were written mainly by Americans,the works categorized as“post 9·11 literature.”Ahmed transforms Western image Frankenstein into Baghdad Frankenstein to denounce hegemonism,terrorism and sectarianism.The Baghdad monster and its maker related to the book title have been widely discussed.However,the“mad”woman Elishva has been overlooked while her story line is equally ingenious and important.Focused on Elishva,an old woman who waits for her son to return for over twenty years but suddenly leaves within a day,this paper explains her choices and the reasons why Ahmed arranges such a character and destiny.In this way,this paper explores the truth about religion through the recurring religious picture in the novel and the truth about body by means of Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology of perception,with the purpose to display the novel’s artistical condemnation of the destructiveness of war.In the end of this paper Elishva-centering community of shared destiny will be discussed to stress her true nature and others’false attitude toward violence-invaded life.展开更多
A community of shared destiny(whose content is the same as community of shared future, an update translation) is the guiding principle and strategic objective of China's diplomacy, and is just, peaceful, inclusive...A community of shared destiny(whose content is the same as community of shared future, an update translation) is the guiding principle and strategic objective of China's diplomacy, and is just, peaceful, inclusive, comprehensive and scientific. It reflects a rational concept of how a rising China handles relations with the outside world. It rejects analysis and understanding of simple traditional thinking that a strong power is bound to seek hegemony. However, the Chinese diplomacy also needs Chinese thinking and perspectives. With analysis eclecticism and incorporated process constructivism to carry out study on the international relations, it can be found that the community of shared destiny is an economic, political and security order, is also a concept order; while a community of shared interests is its foundation, a community of shared security is its guarantee, the common knowledge composes its highest standard. Common security is the important guarantee and strategic goal for the community of shared destiny, i.e. it shows that the peaceful development strategy highlights the reasonable security demands of others China respects; win-win cooperation principle reflects the importance of cooperative security in the international pattern of deepening interdependence; partnership strategy shows diplomatic efforts of Chinese exploration and practice of the new security concept beyond "security alliance".展开更多

A number of countries have hastened to pass legislation that protects their cybersecurity,with a consequent trend of cyberspace nationalization.However,as this trend intensifies,the contradictions inherent in thecyber...A number of countries have hastened to pass legislation that protects their cybersecurity,with a consequent trend of cyberspace nationalization.However,as this trend intensifies,the contradictions inherent in thecybersecurity order becomemore striking.This stems from the fact that the legislative purpose of closed national legislation is difficult to achieve in the face of trans-personal,trans-national and trans-spatial cyberspace.What underlies these contradictions is the dualistic thinking of physical space vs cyberspace.The differences in the understanding of data between the Cybersecurity Law of the PRC(2016)and the Data Security Law of the PRC(2021)are heavily influenced by this line of thinking.Therefore,we need to return,inter alia,to the trans-personal,trans-national,trans-spatial nature of cyberspace itself to reflect on current cybersecurity legislation in China.On the basis of clarifying the dialectical relationship between sovereign states and the community with a shared future in cyberspace,we should establish the dual foundation of cybersecurity legislation and construct a set of fundamental norms for such legislation that contains legislative ideas,basic principles,and legislative system components.展开更多
