Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry as a Reference Method to Evaluate Serum Calcium Measurement Bias and the Commutability of Processed Materials during Routine Measurements

Background： Measuring total serum calcium is important for the diagnosis of diseases. Currently, results from commercial kits for calcium measurement are variable. Generally, the performance of serum calcium measurements is monitored by external quality assessment （EQA） or proficiency testing schemes. However, the commutability of the EQA samples and calibrators is often unknown, which limits the effectiveness of EQA schemes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the bias of serum calcium measurements and the commutability of processed materials. Methods： Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was applied as a comparative method, and 14 routine methods were chosen as test methods. Forty-eight serum samples from individual patients and 25 processed materials were quantified. A scatter plot was generated from patient samples, and 95% prediction intervals were calculated to evaluate the commutability of the processed materials and measurement bias at three concentration levels was used to determine the accuracy of routine assays. Results： All assays showed high precision （total coefficient of variation [CV] 〈2.26%） and correlation coefficients （r 〉 0.99）. For all assays, the mean bias for the 48 patient samples ranged from 0.13 mmol/L to 0.00 mmol/L （-5.61 0.01%）, and the ranges for the three concentrations were 0.10-0.04 mmoUL （-5.71-2.35%）, -0.14-0.01 mmol/L （-5.80-0.30%）, and -0.19-0.04 mmol/L （-6.24-1.22%）. The EQA samples, calibrators, and animal sera exhibited matrix effects in some assays; human serum pools were commutable in all assays; certificate reference materials were commutable in most assays, and only GBW09152 exhibited a matrix effect in one assay： and aqueous reference materials exhibited matrix effects in most assays. Conclusions： Biases for most assays were within the acceptable range, although the accuracy of some assays needs improvement. Human serum pools prepared from patient samples were commutable, and the other tested materials exhibited a matrix effect.

Commuting Space of Primary and Secondary Schools in the Context of Child Friendly Cities:A Case Study of Bajiao Street of Shijingshan District

With the continuous promotion of the construction of child friendly cities,the school commuting space is an important component of the construction of child friendly roads.Based on the background of child friendly cities,the commuting space of 11 primary and secondary schools in Bajiao Street is analyzed through literature analysis and field research methods.Firstly,the relevant literature on school commuting space is sorted out,and the characteristics of school commuting space are summarized,including transportation,landscape,culture,leisure,and security.Secondly,the characteristics of commuting space of primary and secondary schools in Bajiao Street are analyzed from three aspects:in front of the school gate,path space,and node space.This paper aims to provide reference and guidance for the future construction of children’s walking school commuting and promote the construction of a child friendly city.

Analysis of Commuting Modal Shift in Consideration of Social Interaction of Consciousness for Environment

It is the matter for achievement of the low carbon transport system that the excessive use of private vehicles can be controlled appropriately.Not only improvement of service level of modes except private vehicle,but also consciousness for environmental problem of individual trip maker is important for eco-commuting promotion.On the other hand,consciousness for environment would be changed by influence of other person.Accordingly,it is aimed in the study that the structure of decision-making process for modal shift to the eco-commuting mode in the local city is described considering environmental consciousness and social interaction.For the purpose,the consciousness for the environment problem and the travel behavior of the commuter at the suburban area in the local city are investigated by the questionnaire survey.The covariance structure about the eco-consciousness is analyzed with the database of the questionnaire survey by structural equation modeling.As the result,it can be confirmed with the structural equation model that the individual environmental consciousness is strongly related with the intention of self-sacrifice and is influenced with the local interaction of the individual connections.On the other hand,the intention of modal shift for the commuting mode is analyzed with the database of the questionnaire survey.It can be found out that the environmental consciousness is not statistically significant for commuting mode choice with the present poor level of service of public transport.However,the intention of self-sacrifice for the prevention of the global warming is statistically confirmed as the factor of modal shift with the operation of eco-commuting bus service with the RP/SP integrated estimation method.As the result,the multi-agent simulation system with social interaction model for eco consciousness is developed to measure the effect of the eco-commuting promotion.For the purpose,the carbon dioxide emission is estimated based on traffic demand and road network condition in the traffic environment model.On the other hand,the relation between agents is defined based on the small world network.The proposed multi-agent simulation is applied to measure the effect of the eco-commuting promotion such as improvement of level of service on the public transport or education of eco-consciousness.The effect of the promotion plan can be observed with the proposed multi-agent system.Finally,it can be concluded that the proposed multi-agent simulation with social interaction for eco-consciousness is useful for planning of eco-commuting promotion.

Research on the Voltage Supporting Capability of Multi-VSC-HVDC Subsystems Operation Strategy to Receiving-end LCC-HVDC Network in Weak AC Grid

For the hybrid multi-infeed HVDC system in which the receiving-end grid is a strong AC grid including LCC-HVDC subsystems and multiple VSC-HVDC subsystems,it has higher voltage support capability.However,for weak AC grid,the voltage support capability of the multi-VSC-HVDC subsystems to the LCC-HVDC subsystem(voltage support capability-mVSCs-LCC)can resist the risk of commutation failure.Based on this consideration,this paper proposes an evaluation index called Dynamic Voltage Support Strength Factor(DVSF)for the hybrid multi-infeed system,and uses this index to qualitatively judge the voltage support capability-mVSCs-LCC in weak AC grid.In addition,the proposed evaluation index can also indirectly judge the ability of the LCC-HVDC subsystem to suppress commutation failure.Firstly,the mathematical model of the power flow of the LCC and VSC networks in the steady-state is analyzed,and the concept of DVSF applied to hybrid multi-infeed system is proposed.Furthermore,the DVSF index is also used to qualitatively judge the voltage support capability-mVSCs-LCC.Secondly,the influence of multiple VSC-HVDC subsystems with different operation strategies on the DVSF is analyzed with reference to the concept of DVSF.Finally,the indicators proposed in this paper are compared with other evaluation indicators through MATLAB simulation software to verify its effectiveness.More importantly,the effects of multi-VSC-HVDC subsystems using different coordinated control strategies on the voltage support capability of the receiving-end LCC-HVDC subsystem are also verified.

BOUNDEDNESS AND COMPACTNESS FOR THE COMMUTATOR OF THEω-TYPE CALDER′ON-ZYGMUND OPERATOR ON LORENTZ SPACE

In this paper,the authors consider theω-type Calder´on-Zygmund operator T_(ω)and the commutator[b,T_(ω)]generated by a symbol function b on the Lorentz space L^(p,r)(X)over the homogeneous space(X,d,μ).The boundedness and the compactness of the commutator[b,T_(ω)]on Lorentz space L^(p,r)(X)are founded for any p∈(1,∞)and r∈[1,∞).

BAND-DOMINATED OPERATORS ON BERGMAN-TYPE SPACES

In this paper,we study band-dominated operators on Bergman-type spaces and prove that the C*-algebra of band-dominated operators is equal to the essential commutant of Toeplitz operators with a symbol in the set of bounded vanishing Lipschitz functions.On the Bergman space and the Fock space,we show that the C*-algebra of band-dominated operators equals the Toeplitz algebra.

Users’ Perception on Operation and Performance of Public Transport Systems in African Developing Countries: The Case of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Dar es Salaam City, Tanzania

Public transport system has been a means of addressing transportation challenges in urban areas, such as traffic congestion, traffic jam and long travel time in cities worldwide. Transportation in Africa is unique in that it has the least developed public transport systems in the world, while also being one of the fastest urbanizing continents. Bus Rapid Transit being one of the public transport systems was introduced in Africa in 2008 as a means to provide solution on urban transportation challenges. Despite of public transport being the main means of transport in African developing countries, there have been a number of challenges that affects efficiency of performance of the system and makes its users uncomfortable. Therefore, the study aimed at exploring the setbacks or challenges associated with operation and performance of the BRT system in the African developing countries and address them. The study employed mixed methods research design that integrates both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods and analysis. The study findings reveal that, there is an improvement on the perspectives of the commuters on public transport after introduction of BRT system. However, some challenges such as long waiting time, passengers overcrowding during peak hours, as well as safety and security can slowly change the perspective of the commuters. Therefore, to address these challenges it is recommended to reduce the long waiting time and improve accessibility by introduction of passenger information displays (bus information system) and automated fare collection system;reduce travel time by introduction of bus priority signal;and improve safety and security by introduction of signage and CCTV Camera within the bus and bus stops.

Numerical Study on Arc Plasma Behavior During Arc Commutation Process in Direct Current Circuit Breaker

This paper focuses on the numerical investigation of arc plasma behavior during arc commutation process in a medium-voltage direct current circuit breaker （DCCB） contact system. A three-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic （MHD） model of air arc plasma in the contact system of a DCCB is developed, based on commercial software FLUENT. Coupled electromagnetic and gas dynamic interactions are considered as usual, and a thin layer of nonlinear electrical resistance elements is used to represent the voltage drop of plasma sheath and the formation of new arc root. The distributions of pressure, temperature, gas flow and current density of arc plasma in arc region are calculated. The simulation results indicate that the pressure distribution related to the contact system has a strong effect on the arc commutation process, arising from the change of electrical conductivity in the arc root region. In DCCB contact system, the pressure of arc root region will be concentrated and higher if the space above the moving contact is enclosed, which is not good for arc root commutation. However, when the region is opened, the pressure distribution would be lower and more evenly, which is favorable for the arc root commutation.

It is proved that, for the nondivergence elliptic equations Σi,jn=1aijuxixj=f, if f belongs to the generalized Morrey spaces Lp, (w), then uxixj ∈ Lp, (w), where u is the W2,p-solution of the equations. In order to obtain this, the author first establish the weighted boundedness for the commutators of some singular integral operators on Lp, (w).

COMMUTATORS OF SINGULAR INTEGRAL OPERATORS WITH NON-SMOOTH KERNELS

Let T be a singular integral operator bounded on Lp(Rn) for some p, 1 < p < ∞. The authors give a sufficient condition on the kernel of T so that when b ∈BMO, the commutator [b,T](f) = T(bf) - bT(f) is bounded on the space Lp for all p, 1 < p < ∞. The condition of this paper is weaker than the usual pointwise Hormander condition.

Driving and Braking Control of PM Synchronous Motor Based on Low-resolution Hall Sensor for Battery Electric Vehicle

Resolvers are normally employed for rotor positioning in motors for electric vehicles, but resolvers are expensive and vulnerable to vibrations. Hall sensors have the advantages of low cost and high reliability, but the positioning accuracy is low. Motors with Hall sensors are typically controlled by six-step commutation algorithm, which brings high torque ripple. This paper studies the high-performance driving and braking control of the in-wheel permanent magnetic synchronous motor （PMSM） based on low-resolution Hall sensors. Field oriented control （FOC） based on Hall-effect sensors is developed to reduce the torque ripple. The positioning accuracy of the Hall sensors is improved by interpolation between two consecutive Hall signals using the estimated motor speed. The position error from the misalignment of the Hall sensors is compensated by the precise calibration of Hall transition timing. The braking control algorithms based on six-step commutation and FOC are studied. Two variants of the six-step commutation braking control, namely, half-bridge commutation and full-bridge commutation, are discussed and compared, which shows that the full-bridge commutation could better explore the potential of the back electro-motive forces （EMF）, thus can deliver higher efficiency and smaller current ripple. The FOC braking is analyzed with the phasor diagrams. At a given motor speed, the motor turns from the regenerative braking mode into the plug braking mode if the braking torque exceeds a certain limit, which is proportional to the motor speed. Tests in the dynamometer show that a smooth control could be realized by FOC driving control and the highest efficiency and the smallest current ripple could be achieved by FOC braking control, compared to six-step commutation braking control. Therefore, FOC braking is selected as the braking control algorithm for electric vehicles. The proposed research ensures a good motor control performance while maintaining low cost and high reliability.

Multilinear commutators of BMO functions and multilinear singular integrals with non-smooth kernels

This paper is concerned with certain multilinear commutators of BMO functions and multilinear singular integral operators with non-smooth kernels. By the sharp maximal functions estimates, the weighted norm inequalities for this kind of commutators are established.
