Genetic algorithms(GAs)are very good metaheuristic algorithms that are suitable for solving NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems.AsimpleGAbeginswith a set of solutions represented by a population of chromosomes...Genetic algorithms(GAs)are very good metaheuristic algorithms that are suitable for solving NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems.AsimpleGAbeginswith a set of solutions represented by a population of chromosomes and then uses the idea of survival of the fittest in the selection process to select some fitter chromosomes.It uses a crossover operator to create better offspring chromosomes and thus,converges the population.Also,it uses a mutation operator to explore the unexplored areas by the crossover operator,and thus,diversifies the GA search space.A combination of crossover and mutation operators makes the GA search strong enough to reach the optimal solution.However,appropriate selection and combination of crossover operator and mutation operator can lead to a very good GA for solving an optimization problem.In this present paper,we aim to study the benchmark traveling salesman problem(TSP).We developed several genetic algorithms using seven crossover operators and six mutation operators for the TSP and then compared them to some benchmark TSPLIB instances.The experimental studies show the effectiveness of the combination of a comprehensive sequential constructive crossover operator and insertion mutation operator for the problem.The GA using the comprehensive sequential constructive crossover with insertion mutation could find average solutions whose average percentage of excesses from the best-known solutions are between 0.22 and 14.94 for our experimented problem instances.展开更多

Now the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way enters a critical stage, so the original evaluation standards must change with gradual advancement of the construction goal of a well-off society. So it is very necessary for us to build a comprehensive evaluation index system and make it better and better to provide effective statistical consultation and statistical supervision for constructing a well-off society in an all-round way. This paper attempts to analyze the current evaluation index system, then puts forward the general thinking and flame work of the index system of building a well-off society in an all-round way.展开更多
Since the peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951,with a view to shaking off Tibet’s poverty and backwardness and making it prosper alongside the rest of China,the central leadership with Mao Zedong at the core,combinin...Since the peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951,with a view to shaking off Tibet’s poverty and backwardness and making it prosper alongside the rest of China,the central leadership with Mao Zedong at the core,combining Marxist theory on ethnic issues with the particular realities of Tibet,gave up the earlier plan of“shifting the troops garrisoning Tibet every three years to improve their morale,”and began to consider long-term thinking on developing Tibet in which the troops would take root and settle down in Tibet and the border areas.After reform and opening up in 1978,following changes in the international and domestic situation,the CPC Central Committee called on the people to“speed development”and realize leapfrog progress in Tibet and developed the assistance method of“accountability for specific areas,paired-up support and regular rotations.”That has enriched and supplemented our long-term thinking,and is an important method and pathway towards the long-term construction of Tibet.Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,General Secretary Xi Jinping has summarized the Party’s Tibet governance strategies over the past six decades,putting forward the idea that work on Tibet must uphold the important principles of“governing Tibet according to law,promoting the prosperity of the Tibetan people and the region on a long-term basis,increasing cohesion and building a solid foundation,”giving a new historical orientation and epochal meaning to long-term thinking on building Tibet.This article tries to trace the history of the long-term thinking on developing Tibet and summarize historical experience,so as to provide a historical basis and reference for work on Tibet in the new period.展开更多
Shijiuyang Constructed Wetland(110 hm^2) is a drinking water source treatment wetland with primary structural units of ponds and plant-bed/ditch systems. The wetland can process about 250,000 tonnes of source water ...Shijiuyang Constructed Wetland(110 hm^2) is a drinking water source treatment wetland with primary structural units of ponds and plant-bed/ditch systems. The wetland can process about 250,000 tonnes of source water in the Xincheng River every day and supplies raw water for Shijiuyang Drinking Water Plant. Daily data for 28 months indicated that the major water quality indexes of source water had been improved by one grade. The percentage increase for dissolved oxygen and the removal rates of ammonia nitrogen, iron and manganese were 73.63%, 38.86%, 35.64%, and 22.14% respectively. The treatment performance weight of ponds and plant-bed/ditch systems was roughly equal but they treated different pollutants preferentially. Most water quality indexes had better treatment efficacy with increasing temperature and inlet concentrations. These results revealed that the pond–wetland complexes exhibited strong buffering capacity for source water quality improvement. The treatment cost of Shijiuyang Drinking Water Plant was reduced by about 30.3%. Regional rainfall significantly determined the external river water levels and adversely deteriorated the inlet water quality, thus suggesting that the "hidden" diffuse pollution in the multitudinous stream branches as well as their catchments should be the controlling emphases for river source water protection in the future. The combination of pond and plant-bed/ditch systems provides a successful paradigm for drinking water source pretreatment. Three other drinking water source treatment wetlands with ponds and plant-bed/ditch systems are in operation or construction in the stream networks of the Yangtze River Delta and more people will be benefited.展开更多
