The rapid development of artificial intelligence(AI)technology has brought new opportunities and challenges to the field of education.As an important link in cultivating students’comprehensive quality and socialist core values,it is necessary to carry out continuous teaching reform and innovation in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.Based on the concept of AI empowering the teaching reform of ideological and political courses,this study aims to explore how to use artificial intelligence technology to improve the teaching effect and learning experience of ideological and political courses.The research first analyzes the application status of artificial intelligence technology in education,and then discusses the application potential of artificial intelligence in ideological and political courses.Subsequently,the teaching reform strategy of ideological and political courses based on artificial intelligence is proposed,including the use of virtual reality technology,the application of intelligent auxiliary teaching tools to enhance personalized teaching,and the construction of an intelligent learning management system.Lastly,a case analysis is conducted to explore the implementation effect of the teaching reform of ideological and political courses in universities.The results showed that the application of artificial intelligence technology can effectively improve the teaching effect and learning experience of ideological and political courses,and provide new ideas and methods for the teaching reform of ideological and political courses in universities. 展开更多

This essay is trying to explore how the arts students experience the teaching and learning context in the English class of the col lege from the phenomenography perspective.The qualitative research methodology of phenomenography has traditionally required a man ual sorting and analysis of interview data.To study the teaching and learning context,the qualitative research method will be applied,and the data collection will base on the face-to-face interview.There are 8 sophomores were interviewed after they had one year study in col lege.The research findings reveal that most student in interview gradually get used to college English class,but never think about changing their learning approach even they study one year in a totally different teaching and learning environment. 展开更多

Surface coating is a critical procedure in the case of maintenance engineering. Ceramic coating of the wear areas is of the best practice which substantially enhances the Mean Time between Failure (MTBF). EN24 is a commercial grade alloy which is used for various industrial applications like sleeves, nuts, bolts, shafts, etc. EN24 is having comparatively low corrosion resistance, and ceramic coating of the wear and corroding areas of such parts is a best followed practice which highly improves the frequent failures. The coating quality mainly depends on the coating thickness, surface roughness and coating hardness which finally decides the operability. This paper describes an experimental investigation to effectively optimize the Atmospheric Plasma Spray process input parameters of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-40% TiO<sub>2</sub> coatings to get the best quality of coating on EN24 alloy steel substrate. The experiments are conducted with an Orthogonal Array (OA) design of experiments (DoE). In the current experiment, critical input parameters are considered and some of the vital output parameters are monitored accordingly and separate mathematical models are generated using regression analysis. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to generate weights for the individual objective functions and based on that, a combined objective function is made. An advanced optimization method, Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization algorithm (TLBO), is practically utilized to the combined objective function to optimize the values of input parameters to get the best output parameters. Confirmation tests are also conducted and their output results are compared with predicted values obtained through mathematical models. The dominating effects of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-40% TiO<sub>2</sub> spray parameters on output parameters: surface roughness, coating thickness and coating hardness are discussed in detail. It is concluded that the input parameters variation directly affects the characteristics of output parameters and any number of input as well as output parameters can be easily optimized using the current approach. 展开更多

English-language schooling has become a focal point for the Chinese education sector,since English has become the communicative means for global political,cultural and economic exchanges.This new reality means that more is expected from tertiary-level English majors who become increasingly crucial as cross-cultural communicators.Considering the importance and popularity of English major programs,efforts relating to improvements in the existing 2000 Curriculum for English Major Chinese tertiary students Studies for Chinese universities are constantly being discussed.The Curriculum,in turn,attracts the attention of educators,as it is closely connected to teaching context,teaching method,evaluation of language programs,and so on.As such programs are never perfect and always require change and adaptation to changing contexts,what is needed is critique and innovation.This paper aims at analysing the existing 2000 Curriculum and putting forward some innovations and extrapolating the educative values of these reforms.The structure of the paper consists of four major sections.It begins with an evaluation of the existing 2000 Curriculum,both the positive and the problematic aspects of the program.The second section maps out three proposed innovations: Problem-Based Learning(PBL),Task-Based Language Teaching(TBLT) and the inclusion of Chinese cultural material.I then elaborate the advantages of the reform in contrast to the existing system.The final part of the paper extrapolates the various educative values of these reforms. 展开更多

Clinical practice remains an integral part of nursing curriculum because clinical practice provides students with an opportunity to achieve professional competence. Creating a conducive learning environment for students is responsibility of academic staff, clinical nurses and students alike. However, studies in Malawi have reported poor clinical learning environment for students. This study therefore aimed at exploring nurses’ experiences of clinical teaching environment in Malawi. The study used a qualitative research design utilizing a descriptive phenomenological approach. Participants were randomly identified from teaching hospitals across Malawi by nursing managers to attend a six week clinical preceptorship training at one University nursing college. Immediately before commencement of the training, participants were invited to voluntarily participate in a focus group discussion pertaining to their experiences with clinical environment. We conducted focus group discussions with 9 trainees in 2013 and 12 trainees in 2014 training cohorts. Findings reveal that nurses meet a number of challenges in teaching students in the clinical area. Four themes emerged from the study, namely, inadequate faculty support, poor clinical teaching environment, poor competence among nurses and unsupportive working conditions. Nurses require support from academic staff and their managers to ensure a conducive clinical teaching environment. 展开更多

Student engagement in a clinical learning environment is a vital component in the curricula of pre-licensure nursing students, providing an opportunity to combine cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills. This paper is significant in Arab world as there is a lack of knowledge, attitude and practice of student involvement in the new clinical learning environment. The purpose of this review article is to describe the experiences and perspectives of the nurse educator in facilitating pre-licensure nursing students’ engagement in the new clinical learning environment. The review suggests that novice students prefer actual engagement in clinical learning facilitated through diversity experiences, shared learning opportunities, student-faculty interaction and active learning. They expressed continuous supervision, ongoing feedback, interpersonal relationship and personal support from nurse educators useful in the clinical practice. However, the value of this review lies in a better understanding of what constitutes quality clinical learning environment from the students’ perspective of engagement in evidence-based nursing, reflective practice, e-learning and simulated case scenarios facilitated by the nurse educators. This review is valuable in planning and implementing innovative clinical and educational experiences for improving the quality of the clinical teaching-learning environment. 展开更多

新冠病毒刺突蛋白的S2介导了病毒与宿主细胞的膜融合过程,其氨基酸酸序列在Omicron等变异株中均高度保守,可作为开发新型抗新冠病毒药物的重要靶点。基于此前沿热点课题,该文设计了一类以桦木酸磺酰胺皂苷衍生物为结构骨架的新型小分子O... 新冠病毒刺突蛋白的S2介导了病毒与宿主细胞的膜融合过程,其氨基酸酸序列在Omicron等变异株中均高度保守,可作为开发新型抗新冠病毒药物的重要靶点。基于此前沿热点课题,该文设计了一类以桦木酸磺酰胺皂苷衍生物为结构骨架的新型小分子Omicron融合抑制剂的综合性实验。以马铃薯三糖桦木酸皂苷1为苗头化合物,利用生物电子等排体原理及基于结构的药物设计方法(SBDD)设计并合成了三个马铃薯三糖桦木酸磺酰胺衍生物T-1、T-2、T-3,利用NMR及HRESIMs对其进行结构表征,并基于S/HIV模型测试了其在细胞水平对Omicron等多种新冠病毒变异株的抑制活性。在此基础上,综合利用表面等离子共振SPR、免疫共沉淀(Co-PI)、细胞-细胞融合实验、分子对接等实验得出该类皂苷分子能够嵌入S1/S2亚基交界处空腔、稳定S蛋白融合前的构象从而抑制病毒入胞,进而表现出广谱抗新冠病毒活性的结论。 展开更多

学习科学视角下深度学习能力受到社会各界的广泛关注,促进学生的深度学习已经成为高等教育的重要议题和研究热点。以问题为导向的PBL教学方法是更强调能力导向的教学,是促进学生深度学习的重要教学理念和方法。为评价分析大学生深度学... 学习科学视角下深度学习能力受到社会各界的广泛关注,促进学生的深度学习已经成为高等教育的重要议题和研究热点。以问题为导向的PBL教学方法是更强调能力导向的教学,是促进学生深度学习的重要教学理念和方法。为评价分析大学生深度学习现状及其影响因素,在设计性实验课程中开展PBL教学,并在此基础上研究PBL教学方法对大学生深度学习的促进作用及改进策略。研究结果表明,实验班八个二级评价指标的平均值均略高于对照班,一定程度上可以说明PBL教学设计与实施可以促进大学生的深度学习。大学生深度学习的进一步促进策略可以从团队学习能力和反思评价能力方面重点实施。 展开更多

面向化学类(非高分子)专业的高分子化学实验教学发展较为缓慢,亟需紧跟研究前沿,引入新内容。本文总结了近十年的教学改革经验,并以温敏型高分子的制备、溶液性质、光学性能与应用为例,介绍如何通过实验教学内容、实验技术、教学方法等... 面向化学类(非高分子)专业的高分子化学实验教学发展较为缓慢,亟需紧跟研究前沿,引入新内容。本文总结了近十年的教学改革经验,并以温敏型高分子的制备、溶液性质、光学性能与应用为例,介绍如何通过实验教学内容、实验技术、教学方法等方面的创新,设计符合理科人才培养需求的、契合时代与科学发展的、被学生喜爱与重视的一系列高分子化学实验,以有效解决培养需求与课业负担之间的矛盾,且在不新增开课、课时有限的情况下,加入到化学类专业本科教学体系中,激发学生对学科领域的兴趣,提升学生的探究和创新能力。 展开更多
