We studied various approaches to the func-tional modelling of garment designs for the system. According to the characteristic data of a hu-man body, the models of human body and the garment are displayed on the screen, then we canmodify the garment with various styles and different sizes. The system can transform the 3-Dgarment to the 2-D pieces. The system has improved design efficiency. Various potential alterna-tives and improvement of the system have also been studied and explored.展开更多

As an extensible platformfor reactor conceptual design, it is very important to study modeling technology and develop somekind of tools to speed up preparation of all classical computing models. This paper introducesthe background of the project and basic conception of digital reactor. MCAM is taken as anexample for modeling and its related technologies used are given. It is an interface program forMCNP geometry model developed by FDS team (ASIPP & HUT), and designed to run on windowssystem. MCAM aims at utilizing CAD technology to facilitate creation of MCNP geometry model. There have been two ways for MCAM to utilize CAD technology: (1) Making use of user interfacetechnology in aid of generation of MCNP geometry model; (2) Making use of existing 3D CADmodel to accelerate creation of MCNP geometry model. This paper gives an overview of MCAM'smajor function. At last, several examples are given to demonstrate MCAM's various capabilities.展开更多

Different from the traditional human modeling methods, a feature-based parametric design algorithm is involved in this method and mannequin posture animation is also implemented. They can greatly satisfy the requirements of the 3D computer aided garment design. At present, this mannequin modeling method has been implemented as a part of the computer aided 3D garment design system. Several mannequins for garment design have been manufactured by using this method and the rapid prototype technique.展开更多

This may cause decrease of productivity and loss of information during the conversion process between different data file formats. This paper presents a computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided engineering (CAE) system integration using scientific visualization tools and techniques. It deals with the development of a 3D CAD add-in for lighting analysis which uses the CAD model as 3D interface for creating a lighting scheme, processing, and visualizing 2D or 3D illuminance fields. Visualization features as color and contour mapping were developed using the visualization toolkit (VTK) toolkit. The application integrates all functionalities of the 3D CAD with tools for light sources database management, pre-processing, processing, and post-processing of illuminance fields in a single environment. This approach increases productivity and eliminates the need for different software.展开更多
