In this paper,an embedded real-time control system for automatic rotor balancing was studied.Benefiting from the modular design,this system can be easily re-constituted or expanded under different working conditions.T...In this paper,an embedded real-time control system for automatic rotor balancing was studied.Benefiting from the modular design,this system can be easily re-constituted or expanded under different working conditions.The special designed hardware resists harsh environment.As an embedded application,it was very important to save system consumptions on both hardware and software,so the algorithms for unbalance vibration identification and attenuation were deduced,meantime a unified fast algorithm structure was achieved through the geometric analysis.Based on this structure,the signal processing algorithm was tested by an open data source,while the control algorithm was simulated using a basic rotor model,and then connected to a hyper gravity machine running online auto-balancing.The result confirms that the unbalancing vibration is effectively restrained.展开更多

The author has obtained satisfactory results using this new MPPT control method. This paper investigates the application of the new MPPT control method for a PCS (power conditioning system) in a grid-connected type PV power generation system. The experimental results clearly demonstrate that the developed PCS offers outstanding effectiveness in tracking the maximum power point in partially shaded environments.展开更多

The design and development of the software and hardware of the proposed system are given. In addition to the basic data acquisition and processing functions, the gateway supports the Bluetooth-based local interface and the general packet radio service (GPRS)-based remote interface. Users on the client service side can use a pocket PC or notebook PC to achieve real-time data acquisition and control instruction implementation, or remotely control the home control system through a mobile phone by sending a short message. The Labview graphical development environment is adopted to create PDA applications running on pocket PCs and monitoring platform established on notebook PCs. Except for the gateway, other nodes in the system work in sleep mode most of the time on the system, and thus it improves the lifetime of the whole system efficiently.展开更多

A 40 Gb/s full serializer and deserializer (SerDes) transceiver with controller and physical layer (PHY) is presented.The controller mainly contains protocol transmission, forward error correction and user layer build...A 40 Gb/s full serializer and deserializer (SerDes) transceiver with controller and physical layer (PHY) is presented.The controller mainly contains protocol transmission, forward error correction and user layer build-in self-test (BIST).The physical coding sub-layer (PCS) provides the functions of 64/66 encoder/decoder, PHY BIST, and polarity control.In the physical medium attachment (PMA), both transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) adopt quarter-rate architecture to relax the timing constraint and reduce power dissipation.The receiver utilizes the phase interpolator (PI) based clock and data recovery (CDR) with bang-bang phase detector (BBPD) to extract the synchronic clock for retiming and de-multiplexing.The multiple-MUX based 4-tap FFE and a two-stage cascade CTLE are employed to mitigate the inter-symbol interference (ISI).In addition, a proposed 4∶1 MUX is used to improve the output jitter performance and reduce the power consumption.Fabricated in a 65 nm CMOS technology, the full transceiver consumes 890 mW at 40 Gb/s and occupies 12 mm 2 .The measurement results show that this transceiver can achieve bit error rate (BER)< 10 -12 after a 15.3 dB loss channel at 20 GHz.展开更多
Plasma control system(PCS),mainly developed for real-time feedback control calculation,plays a significant part during normal discharges in a magnetic fusion device,while the tokamak simulation code(TSC) is a nonl...Plasma control system(PCS),mainly developed for real-time feedback control calculation,plays a significant part during normal discharges in a magnetic fusion device,while the tokamak simulation code(TSC) is a nonlinear numerical model that studies the time evolution of an axisymmetric magnetized tokamak plasma.The motivation to combine these two codes for an integrated simulation is specified by the facts that the control system module in TSC is relatively simple compared to PCS,and meanwhile,newly-implemented control algorithms in PCS,before applied to experimental validations,require numerical validations against a tokamak plasma simulator that TSC can act as.In this paper,details of establishment of the integrated simulation framework between the EAST PCS and TSC are generically presented,and the poloidal power supply model and data acquisition model that have been implemented in this framework are described as well.In addition,the correctness of data interactions among the EAST PCS,Simulink and TSC is clearly confirmed during an interface test,and in a simulation test,the RZIP control scheme in the EAST PCS is numerically validated using this simulation platform.展开更多

Two optimal power control (PC) schemes under the power constraint for space-time coded multiple input multiple output systems over the flat Rayleigh fading channel with the imperfect channel state information (CSI...Two optimal power control (PC) schemes under the power constraint for space-time coded multiple input multiple output systems over the flat Rayleigh fading channel with the imperfect channel state information (CSI) are presented. One is based on the minimization of a bit error rate (BER), and the other is based on the maximization of a fuzzy signal-to-noise ratio. In these schemes, different powers are allocated to individual transmit an- tennas rather than equal power in the conventional one. For the first scheme, the optimal PC procedure is developed. It is shown that the Lagrange multiplier for the constrained optimization in the power control does exist and is unique. A practical iterative algorithm based on Newton's method for finding the Lagrange multiplier is proposed. In the second scheme, some existing schemes are included, and a suboptimal PC procedure is developed by means of the asymptotic performance analysis. With this suboptimal scheme, a simple PC calculation formula is provided, and thus the calculation of the PC will be straightforward. Moreover, the suboptimal scheme has the BER performance close to the optimal scheme. Simulation results show that the two PC schemes can provide BER lower than the equal PC and antenna selection scheme under the imperfect CSI.展开更多
