Enhanced permeability prediction in porous media using particle swarm optimization with multi-source integration

Accurately and efficiently predicting the permeability of porous media is essential for addressing a wide range of hydrogeological issues.However,the complexity of porous media often limits the effectiveness of individual prediction methods.This study introduces a novel Particle Swarm Optimization-based Permeability Integrated Prediction model(PSO-PIP),which incorporates a particle swarm optimization algorithm enhanced with dy-namic clustering and adaptive parameter tuning(KGPSO).The model integrates multi-source data from the Lattice Boltzmann Method(LBM),Pore Network Modeling(PNM),and Finite Difference Method(FDM).By assigning optimal weight coefficients to the outputs of these methods,the model minimizes deviations from actual values and enhances permeability prediction performance.Initially,the computational performances of the LBM,PNM,and FDM are comparatively analyzed on datasets consisting of sphere packings and real rock samples.It is observed that these methods exhibit computational biases in certain permeability ranges.The PSOPIP model is proposed to combine the strengths of each computational approach and mitigate their limitations.The PSO-PIP model consistently produces predictions that are highly congruent with actual permeability values across all prediction intervals,significantly enhancing prediction accuracy.The outcomes of this study provide a new tool and perspective for the comprehensive,rapid,and accurate prediction of permeability in porous media. 展开更多

In this study,we present a novel nodal integration-based particle finite element method(N-PFEM)designed for the dynamic analysis of saturated soils.Our approach incorporates the nodal integration technique into a generalised Hellinger-Reissner(HR)variational principle,creating an implicit PFEM formulation.To mitigate the volumetric locking issue in low-order elements,we employ a node-based strain smoothing technique.By discretising field variables at the centre of smoothing cells,we achieve nodal integration over cells,eliminating the need for sophisticated mapping operations after re-meshing in the PFEM.We express the discretised governing equations as a min-max optimisation problem,which is further reformulated as a standard second-order cone programming(SOCP)problem.Stresses,pore water pressure,and displacements are simultaneously determined using the advanced primal-dual interior point method.Consequently,our numerical model offers improved accuracy for stresses and pore water pressure compared to the displacement-based PFEM formulation.Numerical experiments demonstrate that the N-PFEM efficiently captures both transient and long-term hydro-mechanical behaviour of saturated soils with high accuracy,obviating the need for stabilisation or regularisation techniques commonly employed in other nodal integration-based PFEM approaches.This work holds significant implications for the development of robust and accurate numerical tools for studying saturated soil dynamics. 展开更多

The space-air-ground integrated network(SAGIN) is regarded as the key approach to realize global coverage in future network and it reaches broad access for various services. Being the new paradigm of service, immersive media(IM) has attracted users’ attention for its virtualization, but it poses challenges to network performance, e.g. bandwidth, rate, latency. However, the SAGIN has limitations in supporting IM services, such as 4 K/8 K video, virtual reality, and interactive games. In this paper, a novel service customized SAGIN architecture for IM applications(SAG-IM) is proposed, which achieves content interactive and real-time communication among terminal users. State-of-the-art research is investigated in detail to facilitate the combination of SAGIN and service customized technology, which provides endto-end differentiated services for users. Besides, the functional components of SAG-IM contain the infrastructure layer, perception layer, intelligence layer, and application layer, reaching the capabilities of intelligent management of the network. Moreover, to provide IM content with ultra-high-definition and high frame rate for the optimal user experience, the promising key technologies on intelligent routing and delivery are discussed. The performance evaluation shows the superiority of SAG-IM in supporting IM service.Finally, the prospects in practical application are high-lighted. 展开更多

The main aim of the paper is to examine the concentration of the longitudinal dispersion phenomenon arising in fluid flow through porous media. These phenomenon yields a partial differential equation namely Burger’s equation, which is solved by mixture of the new integral transform and the homotopy perturbation method under suitable conditions and the standard assumption. This method provides an analytical approximation in a rapidly convergent sequence with in exclusive manner computed terms. Its rapid convergence shows that the method is trustworthy and introduces a significant improvement in solving nonlinear partial differential equations over existing methods. It is concluded that the behaviour of concentration in longitudinal dispersion phenomenon is decreases as distance x is increasing with fixed time t > 0 and slightly increases with time t. 展开更多

Objectivity in media practice is the journalist's ability to give every segment of the audience an equal right to be heard and seen, to read or to react. Disappointingly, that objectivity does not extend to the policies that regulate that practice. This concern is demonstrated in the incoherence and lack of judgment that exist in media policy domains where journalism is confined to a deal between only the journalist and his or her audience. This linear process conspicuously excludes those crucial stakeholders whose interests tremendously affect the destiny of journalists and their audience. The development has adversely affected policy rationality in some developing countries as media policies lack interactive planning, robust policy discourses and stakeholder dialogue, thereby undermining policy integrity. This paper attempts to argue that for a media policy to be truly in public interest, formulators have to expand their horizon beyond government, journalists and their audience to other stakeholders. Newsmakers, who fall into a category of such stakeholders, can make the journalist's pen run dry if they go on strike! Others include media users, media owners and media scholars. The paper recommends the process of harnessing the perspectives of these stakeholders in a manner that can make analysts consider drafting a fresh all-encompassing media policy for developing countries, especially those of Africa. 展开更多

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Qingqiao Capsule (清窍胶囊, QQC) in treating patients with secretory otitis media (SOM). Methods: A total of 90 patients were randomly assigned into the treated group (n:45) and the control group (n=45). Patients in the treated group were administrated with QQC, 5 capsules each time, 3 times a day for totally 10-14 days, and those in the control group were given per os cefaclor capsules 0.5g each time for adult, 3 times a day, or 20mg/(kg·d) for children, for 10-14 days. The therapeutic efficacy of treatment on the patients was observed and compared after treatment and followed up for 3-6 months. Results: (1) The clinical efficacy in the treated group was superior to that in the control group with significant statistical difference (P〈0.01); (2) Comparison of the efficacies in patients of three different TCM syndrome types (the external pathogenic wind invasion caused auditory orifice stuffiness type, the Gan-Dan damp-heat steaming up auditory orifice type and the Pi-deficiency dysfunction induced dirty dampness blocking ear type) showed no statistically significant difference(P〉0.05); (3) The vanishing rate and time needed of the main symptoms and signs in the treated group were superior to those in the control group on ear muffle, tinnitus, hearing impairment, hydrotypanum, pure tone threshold and abnormal tongue figure, and the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.05 or P〈0.01), only those of earache, otopiesis and abnornal pulse figure were insignificantly different between the two groups (P〉0.05). Conclusion: QQC is an effective Chinese composite medicine on patients with SOM, and shows no obvious adverse reaction. 展开更多

The goal of much research in computational materials science is to quantify necessary morphological information and then to develop stochastic models which both accurately reflect the material morphology and allow one to estimate macroscopic physical properties. A novel method of characterizing the morphology of disordered systems is presented based on the evolution of a family of integral geometric measures during erosion and dilation operations. The method is used to determine the accuracy of model reconstructions of random systems. It is shown that the use of erosion/dilation operations on the original image leads to a more accurate discrimination of morphology than previous methods. 展开更多

Some people assert that paper-based media will come to an end. However, the author believes that the paper media will not come to an end under the media convergence trend. It will develop parallel with media integration. The reason why the author has this view is that, on one hand, paper-based media has its unique physical characteristics. In the real world, paper media brought us the aesthetic experience by "five senses" . It cannot be replaced by the media convergence. The paper media will also make survival steering dimension; on the other hand, cultural heritage of the paper media make itself a unique appreciation of the value and not transcendent. Therefore, the paper media in the media convergence trend will continue to exist and turned to be "concept book" that admiring is the main part and reading supplemented. 展开更多

基于平面波势函数,采用间接边界积分方程法(indirect boundary integral equation method, IBIEM)研究了双孔隙流体饱和介质中弹性波入射下二维孔洞的散射特性。推导得到了双孔隙介质中全空间二维线源动力格林函数,并给出了各散射波的... 基于平面波势函数,采用间接边界积分方程法(indirect boundary integral equation method, IBIEM)研究了双孔隙流体饱和介质中弹性波入射下二维孔洞的散射特性。推导得到了双孔隙介质中全空间二维线源动力格林函数,并给出了各散射波的位移场和应力场。在数值精度验证的基础上,以双孔隙二维饱和全空间中孔洞为例,解决了平面P、SV波入射下的地震波散射问题。数值结果表明:双重孔隙介质中的位移幅值、环向应力幅值、孔隙压力变化规律与不同入射波形,入射频率,孔隙率和边界排水条件密切相关,位移幅值在低频(无量纲频率η≤2)入射时出现峰值。环向应力幅值与干土条件相比更为复杂,基质孔压与裂缝孔压的存在增大了双重孔隙饱和介质的能量效应,总体震动趋势大于干土条件,环向应力放大可达62%。 展开更多

在当今的数字化时代,医院门户网站已成为医院与患者之间的重要桥梁。门户网站的设计、开发、维护和升级对于医院的形象塑造和患者的就诊体验具有重大影响。文章结合浙江某肿瘤专科医院官网近年来实际运营经验,阐述其在患者视角下的开发... 在当今的数字化时代,医院门户网站已成为医院与患者之间的重要桥梁。门户网站的设计、开发、维护和升级对于医院的形象塑造和患者的就诊体验具有重大影响。文章结合浙江某肿瘤专科医院官网近年来实际运营经验,阐述其在患者视角下的开发理念、设计思路与实践方案,对网站访问数据进行分析讨论。数据证实,改版后的网站流量稳步上升,以手机为代表的移动类设备已逐步呈现快速上升的趋势,这与近年来移动互联网的迅猛发展是同步的。其经验表明医院网站建设应以患者视角,结合融媒体传播理论,走集群化、移动化和大数据之路。 展开更多
