The whole work focuses on investigating some indices including the number of failed edges, dynamic edge tolerance capacity and the perturbation of edge. In general, it assumes that the perturbation is attributed to the normal distribution in adopted simulations. By investigating the effectiveness of edge tolerance in scale-free and random networks, it finds that the larger tolerance parameter λ can more efficiently delay the cascading failure process for scale-free networks than random networks. These results indicate that the cascading failure process can be effectively controlled by increasing the tolerance parameter λ. Moreover, the simulations also show that, larger variance of perturbation can easily trigger the cascading failures than the smaller one. This study may be useful for evaluating efficiency of whole traffic systems, and for alleviating cascading failure in such systems.展开更多

The operating parameters of the instruments are optimized, and the optimal analytical parameters are determined. The influences of optical spectrum and mass spectrum interferences, digestion methods and acid systems on the analytical results are investigated. The optimal spectral lines and isotopes are chosen, and internal standard element of rhodium is selected to compensate for matrix effects and analytical signals drifting. In this method, an element free Galerkin (EFG) formulation, an enriched basic function and some special shape functions that contain discontinuous derivatives are employed. Based on the moving least squares (MLS) interpolation approach, the EFG method is one of the promising methods for dealing with problems involving progressive crack growth. Since the method is meshless and no element connectivity data are needed, the burdensome remeshing procedure required in the conventional finite element method (FEM) is avoided. The numerical results show that the proposed method can yield an accurate near-tip stress field in an infinite piezoelectric plate containing an interior hole. In another example studying a ceramic multilayer actuator, the proposed model was found to be accurate in the simulation of stress and electric field concentrations arround the abrupt end of an internal electrode.展开更多

ANSYS/ EMAG is used to model the time varying electromagnetic field with the discharge current used as excitation, in order to obtain the radial and axial magnetic pressure acting on the tube, the magnetic pressure is then used as boundary conditions to model the high velocity deformation of tube with DYNAFORM, The radial magnetic pressure on the tube decreases from the center to the tube end, axial magnetic pressure is greater near the location equal to the coil height and slight in the other region. The radial displacement of deformed workpicces is distributed uniformly near the tube center and decreases from the center to the end; Deformation from the location equal to coil height to the tube end is little. This distribution is consistent with the distribution of radial pressure; Effect of the axial magnetic pressure on deformation can be ignored, The calculated results show well agreements with the experimental results.展开更多

Therefore, an algorithm for the coupling of FEM and MPM is proposed to take advantages of both methods. Furthermore, a conversion scheme of elements to particles is developed. Hence, the material domain is firstly discretized by finite elements, and then the distorted elements are automatically converted into MPM particles to avoid element entanglement. The interaction between finite elements and MPM particles is implemented based on the background grid in MPM framework. Numerical results are in good agreement with that of both FEM and MPM展开更多

Initially, the simulation has been implemented by using a conventional FE model. During the deforming process, mesh quality is checked at every incremental step. Distorted elements are automatically converted to EFG nodes, whereas, the less distorted elements are reserved. A new algorithm to generate EFG nodes and interface elements is presented. This method is capable of dealing with large deformation and has higher computational efficiency than using an EFG method wholly. Numerical results demonstrate that the adaptive EFG-FE coupling method has reasonable accuracy and is effective for local bulk metal forming such as extrusion processes.展开更多

文摘High-energy gas fracturing of shale is a novel, high efficacy and eco-friendly mining technique, which is a typical dynamic perturbing behavior. To effectively extract shale gas,it is important to understand the dynamic mechanical properties of shale.Dynamic experiments on shale subjected to true triaxial compression at different strain rates are first conducted in this research. The dynamic stress-strain curves, peak strain, peak stress and failure modes of shale are investigated. The results of the study indicate that the intermediate principal stress and the minor principal stress have the significant influence on the dynamic mechanical behaviors, although this effect decreases as the strain rate increases. The characteristics of compression-shear failure primarily occur in shale subjected to triaxial compression at high strain rates, which distinguishes it from the fragmentation characteristics observed in shale under dynamic uniaxial compression.Additionally,a numerical three-dimensional Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(3D-SHPB),which is established by coupling PFC3D and FLAC3D methods,is validated to replicate the laboratory characteristics of shale. The dynamic mechanical characteristics of shale subjected to different confining stresses are systematically investigated by the coupling PFC3D and FLAC3D method. The numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
文摘In this paper, several mathmatical models for the pile- soil interaction are outlined. The Boundary Element Method is one of the very effective methods for the reasonable models of elasticity and elastoplasticity. The major of this paper is concerned with the Boundary Element Method for the pile-soil interaction, including general methods and calculating formulation of static and dynamic analysis of the pile and pile groups. Some results of analysis are also given.
文摘A loose coupling method is used to solve the electromagnetic tube bulging. This distribution is consistent with the distribution of radial pressure; Effect of the axial magnetic pressure on deformation can be ignored, The calculated results show well agreements with the experimental results.
文摘A new calculating method of aerodynamic heating for unsteady hypersonic aircrafts with complex configuration is presented. This method, which considers the effects of high temperature chemical non-equilibrium and the heat transfer process in thermal protection structure,is based on the combination of the inviscid outerflow solution and the engineering method, where the Euler solver provides the flow parameters on boundary layer edge for engineering method in aerodynamic heating calculation.A high efficient interpolation technique, which can be applied to the fast computation of longtime aerodynamic heating for hypersonic aircraft,is developed for flying trajectory. In this paper, three hypersonic test cases are calculated, and the heat flux and temperature distribution of thermo-protection system are shown. The numerical results show the high efficiency of the developed method and the validation of thermal characteristics analysis on hypersonic aerodynamic heating.

文摘Aiming at obtaining high power density of surface-mounted and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(SIPMSM),it is important to accurately calculate the temperature field distribution of SIPMSM,and a magnetic-thermal coupling method is proposed. The magnetic-thermal coupling mechanism is analyzed. The thermal network model and finite element model are built by this method, respectively. The effects of power frequency on iron losses and temperature fields are analyzed by the magnetic-thermal coupling finite element model under the condition of rated load, and the relationship between the load and temperature field is researched under the condition of the synchronous speed. In addition, the equivalent thermal network model is used to verify the magnetic-thermal coupling method. Then the temperatures of various nodes are obtained. The results show that there are advantages in both computational efficiency and accuracy for the proposed coupling method, which can be applied to other permanent magnet motors with complex structures.
文摘In this paper, we represent a new numerical method for solving the nonstationary Stokes equations in an unbounded domain. The technique consists in coupling the boundary integral and finite element methods. The variational formulation and well posedness of the coupling method are obtained. 文摘As a Lagrangian meshless method, the material point method (MPM) is suitable for dynamic problems with extreme deformation, but its efficiency and accuracy are not as good as that of the finite element method (FEM) for small deformation problems. Numerical results are in good agreement with that of both FEM and MPM

文摘An adaptive EFG-FE coupling method is proposed and developed for the numerical simulation of lateral extrusion and forward-backward extrusion. Numerical results demonstrate that the adaptive EFG-FE coupling method has reasonable accuracy and is effective for local bulk metal forming such as extrusion processes.
文摘For accurate aeroelastic analysis, the unsteady rotor flowfield is solved by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)module based on RANS/Euler equations and moving-embedded grid system, while computational structural dynamics(CSD)module is introduced to handle blade flexibility. In CFD module, dual time-stepping algorithm is employed in temporal discretization,Jameson two-order central difference(JST)scheme is adopted in spatial discretization and B-L turbulent model is used to illustrate the viscous effect. The CSD module is developed based on Hamilton′s variational principles and moderate deflection beam theory.Grid deformation is implemented using algebraic method through coordinate transformations to achieve deflections with high quality and efficiency.A CFD/CSD loose coupling strategy is developed to transfer information between rotor flowfield and blade structure. The CFD and the CSD modules are verified seperately. Then the CFD/CSD loose coupling is adopted in airloads prediction of UH-60A rotor under high speed forward flight condition. The calculated results agree well with test data. Finally, effects of torsional stiffness properties on airloads of rotors with different tip swept angles(from 10° forward to 30° backward)are investigated. The results are evaluated through pressure distribution and airloads variation, and some meaningful conclusions are drawn the moderated shock wave strength and pressure gradient caused by varied tip swept angle and structural properties.
