Solutions to Teaching Reform Challenges of Elective Courses under the Background of New Liberal Arts:Taking International Trade in Services Course as an Example

Variations in the allocation of university resources,teachers’course selection preferences and teaching commitment levels,as well as students’course preferences and assessment requirements,create subjective differences.These differences,compounded by the demands of the new liberal arts reform,place significant challenges and pressure on elective course instructors.To meet these demands,elective course teachers should enhance their teaching methods and explore new instructional models.The International Trade in Services course,for instance,has implemented six areas of curriculum reform,enriching the practice of elective course improvement.

Research on the Teaching Reform of Building Information Modeling Course Based on“Post,Course,Competition,and Certificate”Integration

With the rapid development of information technology,the utilization of building information modeling(BIM)is increasingly prevalent in the construction industry.In order to cultivate BIM application-oriented talents capable of effectively addressing industry development demands,this study proposes a reform plan for BIM courses that integrates post,course,competition,and certificate.The reform plan implements the teaching methods of post-course integration,competition-based teaching integration,and course certificate integration in the BIM course.It also carries out curriculum reform from four aspects:curriculum system,teaching mode,teaching content,and assessment method.Reform should be implemented to enhance students’professional and practical skills,thereby enabling them to secure improved employment opportunities and prospects for career development.

Challenges and Teaching Reform Strategies in Vocational College Engineering Training Courses

With the rapid development of vocational education,engineering training has become a crucial course for cultivating highly skilled technical professionals,highlighting its importance.However,vocational college engineering training courses still face numerous challenges during the actual teaching process,which affect the effectiveness of course teaching and the enhancement of students’engineering competence.This article thoroughly analyzes the main problems existing in current engineering training course teaching,focusing on four aspects:students’cognitive differences,inadequate course development,poor course adaptability,and limited teaching resources.Based on this analysis and previous research findings,targeted strategies are proposed,including enhancing students’course cognition,clarifying course positioning,improving course adaptability,and optimizing the allocation of teaching resources.Furthermore,this article preliminarily verifies the effectiveness of some reform strategies through a small-scale teaching experiment.This study aims to provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for enhancing the teaching quality of vocational college engineering training courses.

Research on the Teaching Reform of “Big Data Analysis and Visualization” Course for College Students

Under the background of the big data era,the education of big data majors is undergoing a profound teaching reform and innovation.With the increasing role of big data technology in analysis and decision-making,updating and expanding the teaching content of big data majors has become particularly important.In the era of big data,modern enterprises have put forward new and higher demands for big data talents,which not only include traditional data analysis skills but also knowledge of data visualization and information technology.To address these challenges,big data education needs to reform and innovate in the development and utilization of teaching content,methods,and resources.This paper proposes teaching models and reform methods for big data majors and analyzes corresponding teaching reforms and innovations to meet the requirements of the new development of big data majors.The traditional classroom teaching method is no longer sufficient to meet the learning needs of students,and more dynamic and interactive teaching methods,such as case studies,flipped classrooms,and project-based learning,are becoming increasingly essential.These innovative teaching methods can more effectively cultivate students’practical operation skills and independent thinking while allowing them to better learn advanced knowledge in a real big-data environment.In addition,the paper also discusses the construction of big data processing and analysis platforms,as well as innovative teaching management and evaluation systems to improve teaching quality.

Research and Practice of Course Reform in English Majors of Colleges and Universities from the Ideological and Political Perspective

There is an urgent need for high-quality talents with ideological and moral character for the development of higher education and the cultivation of English majors who meet the requirements of the times.The course reform in English majors from the ideological and political perspective is an important way to improve the comprehensive quality and moral values of students,which helps to cultivate English talents with social responsibility and innovative abilities.This paper analyzes the problems in the current courses through literature review and field research,such as the lack of ideological and political perspective and low interest of students in ideological and political content.Based on these issues,taking the course“Comprehensive English”as an example,various teaching stages were practiced from the aspects of learning objectives,learning content,learning situation,implementation ideas,implementation effects,and teaching evaluation.Additionally,some suggestions are proposed,such as integrating ideological and political content into the entire process of teaching.The teaching staff needs to possess high-level English teaching ability and ideological and political perspective,standardize the evaluation system,and integrate epistemology into the evaluation process of ideological and political education,in order to promote in-depth research and exploration of ideological and political education of English majors.

Empowerment of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Reform of Ideological and Political Courses in Universities

The rapid development of artificial intelligence(AI)technology has brought new opportunities and challenges to the field of education.As an important link in cultivating students’comprehensive quality and socialist core values,it is necessary to carry out continuous teaching reform and innovation in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.Based on the concept of AI empowering the teaching reform of ideological and political courses,this study aims to explore how to use artificial intelligence technology to improve the teaching effect and learning experience of ideological and political courses.The research first analyzes the application status of artificial intelligence technology in education,and then discusses the application potential of artificial intelligence in ideological and political courses.Subsequently,the teaching reform strategy of ideological and political courses based on artificial intelligence is proposed,including the use of virtual reality technology,the application of intelligent auxiliary teaching tools to enhance personalized teaching,and the construction of an intelligent learning management system.Lastly,a case analysis is conducted to explore the implementation effect of the teaching reform of ideological and political courses in universities.The results showed that the application of artificial intelligence technology can effectively improve the teaching effect and learning experience of ideological and political courses,and provide new ideas and methods for the teaching reform of ideological and political courses in universities.

Research on the Reform Path of Ideological and Political Education in Tourism English Courses in Higher Vocational Education

Tourism English in higher vocational education has profound humanistic,strong professional orientation,and instrumental characteristics.Through analyzing the current situation of ideological and political teaching in Tourism English courses in higher vocational education,it is found that there are too few ideological and political elements in the curriculum,the skills teaching and ideological education are not unified,and the ideological and political education in the curriculum tends to be empty preaching.The reasons for this are the weak ideological and political awareness of teachers,the emphasis on skills in textbooks over ideological and political education,and the conservatism of teaching methods.Based on the requirements of curriculum ideological and political education and teaching reform,a teaching reform practice path is constructed from four aspects:anchoring curriculum ideological and political goals,improving teachers’ideological and political awareness and educational ability,creating ideological and political-oriented textbook resources,and integrating ideological and political teaching methods through multiple channels throughout the entire process,in order to cultivate students with patriotism,international vision,and professional skills.

The Reform and Practice of Bilingual Teaching in Computer Courses

Since China has joined the WTO and the speed of globalization in our country.The professionals with both up to date technological knowledge and good English are needed urgently.It has been shown that bilingual teaching in IT fields is effect ways of cultivating IT professionals.In this paper,the necessity of bilingual teaching in IT fields is discussed and some of the methods in our practices are also introduced.The satisfactory results of the bilingual teaching in computer courses at our school have been obtained.

Application of Cooperative Learning and Flipped Classrooms in University Basketball Courses in China

This study investigates the application of the teaching model combining cooperative learning and flipped classrooms in university basketball courses in China.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional basketball teaching model and students’satisfaction with the course,the necessity of implementing cooperative learning and flipped classrooms is proposed.The study planned in detail the implementation strategies before class,in the classroom,and after class,and compared them with the control group through an experimental design.The experimental results showed that the new teaching mode demonstrated significant advantages in terms of learning outcomes,student satisfaction,and teacher evaluation.This study provides a valuable reference for the future reform of the physical education curriculum.

Teaching Reform and Practice of the Preliminary Course of Landscape Architecure Design

Since landscape architecture became the first-level discipline in 2011, its connotation and extension have been greatly expanded, and the discipline has been in the reform and transformation period. Cultivation of the top-notch compound innovative talents has been the key point of the teaching reform. Northeast Forestry University made a newround talent cultivation scheme in 2014, preliminary courses of landscape architecture design took this as the opportunity to launch the teaching reform, and tried to explore an innovation-oriented cultivation mode of compound talents from the perspectives of cultivation objective, teaching content, teaching method and so on.

Evaluation of Technical Education by Using a Modern Structured MOODLE Laboratory Course, in Relation to Recent Data

E-learning platforms support education systems worldwide, transferring theoretical knowledge as well as soft skills. In the present study high-school pupils’, and adult students’ opinions were evaluated through a modern structured MOODLE interactive course, designed for the needs of the laboratory course “Automotive Systems”. The study concerns Greek secondary vocational education pupils aged 18 and vocational training adult students aged 20 to 50 years. The multistage, equal size simple random cluster sample was used as a sampling method. Pupils and adult students of each cluster completed structured 10-question questionnaires both before and after attending the course. A total of 120 questionnaires were collected. In general, our findings disclosed that the majority of pupils and adult students had significantly improved their knowledge and skills from using MOODLE. They reported strengthening conventional teaching, using the new MOODLE technology. The satisfaction indices improved quite, with the differences in their mean values being statistically significant.

Reform and Practice of Operating System Course

In recent years,with the changes in the international competitive environment,the development strategic focuses of the national software industry have also shifted.To adapt to these changes,we analyze and summarize the problems existing in the teaching content and methods of the traditional“Operating System”course and carry out the reform and practice of this core course for software engineering majors.First,we design and integrate domestic operating system examples into the course to meet the needs of national strategic development,thus cultivating operating system software talents in line with China’s national conditions and needs.Second,we reconstruct the teaching content of the course,strengthen the assessment of comprehensive ability,and establish a 3-level progressive teaching structure.Third,we carry out the deep integration of university and enterprise to realize the combination of theory and practice and establish a comprehensive and whole process university-enterprise course co-construction mode.Through the above reform measures,students show a strong interest in learning the operating system course.The operating system course has won the honor of the first-class course of Beijing Jiaotong University and has been approved for 4 industry-education cooperation projects of the Ministry of Education.

Teaching Reform Conception of Software Engineering Core Courses for Cloud Application

In the 10 years after the concept of cloud computing was put forward,compared with traditional technologies and methods,great changes have taken place in the development methods,technical architecture,deployment methods and operation and maintenance modes of software systems.At present,software projects for cloud applications occupy the mainstream in the market.However,the undergraduate training programs for software engineering or computer science majors in many universities in China are still relatively traditional,lagging behind the development of cloud computing technology for freshmen.In view of this situation,this paper tries to select 3 core courses of“Requirements Analysis and System Design,Web Development Technology,Cloud Native Technology”in the undergraduate training program of software engineering major of Harbin Institute of Technology 2020 as the baseline,and puts forward the idea of breaking the barriers between courses and carrying out penetrating teaching reform.It aims to train students to have the ability to analysis,design and implementation of cloud-based application systems to meet the new needs of the market.

Satellite communications is not only a key technical for students who major in information subject must know well, but also a satellite cultural background course at the information age. Based on the current situation and characteristics of Universities of 211 Project, such as teaching objectives, course settings, and too much categories of professional courses but class hour reduced.
