TiN/CrN multilayered hard coatings with TiCrN interlayer were deposited onhigh speed steel substrates by using a filtered cathodic vacuum arc technique. The structure andcomposition of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Augerelectron spectroscopy (AES). A high adhesion of up to 80 N was demonstrated by scratching tests forthe multi-layered coatings. Nanoindentation tests were performed to determine the hardness andelastic modulus of the coatings as a function of the multiplayer modulation period. It was observedthat the hardness of the multilayered coatings is higher than those of either TiN or CrN singlecoatings, and it increases with decreasing modulation periods, which is consistent with predictionsfrom the Hall-Petch type strengthening mechanism, though at small modulation periods, deviation fromthe Hall-Petch relation has been observed for the multilayered coatings. The life-span of drillscoated with TiN/CrN multilayered is triple as long as that coated with TiN layer. 展开更多

A Cr interlayer was introduced between Cr-A1-Si-N coating and SUS 304 substrate to improve the coating adherence. The effects of Cr interlayer on the microhardness, adhesion, and tribological behavior of Cr-A1-Si-N coatings were systematically investigated. The results indicate that the microhardness of the Cr-A1-Si-N coatings gradually deceases with increasing thickness of Cr interlayers. The adhesion between Cr-A1-Si-N and SUS 304 substrate is improved by addition of the Cr interlayers. A peak critical load of-50 N is observed for the coating containing Cr interlayer of 60 nm as compared - 20 N for the coating without Cr interlayer. The thicker Cr interlayers result in reduced critical load values. Moreover, the wear resistance of the Cr-AI-Si-N coatings is greatly enhanced by introducing the Cr interlayer with thickness of 60 nm in spite of the decreased microhardness. The friction coefficient of the coating system is also moderately reduced. 展开更多

采用直流反应磁控溅射技术,在AISI 304不锈钢基体上镀制了三种具有不同插入层结构的CrN_x涂层.用X射线晶体衍射仪(XRD)表征了涂层的晶体结构,用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察了涂层的横断面组织形貌,用原子力显微镜(AFM)观察分析了涂层的表... 采用直流反应磁控溅射技术,在AISI 304不锈钢基体上镀制了三种具有不同插入层结构的CrN_x涂层.用X射线晶体衍射仪(XRD)表征了涂层的晶体结构,用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察了涂层的横断面组织形貌,用原子力显微镜(AFM)观察分析了涂层的表面形貌,并用划痕法测试涂层的结合力,纳米硬度计测试涂层硬度.所有涂层都呈B1 NaCl型面心立方结构,具有明显的(200)择优取向.但是,具有不同插入层结构的涂层的晶体衍射峰的位移角度及方向不同.并且在具有Cr/CrN_x多层交替结构作为插入层的涂层的晶体结构中出现了Cr的衍射峰.在这种具有不同插入层结构的CrN_x涂层中,Cr/CrN_x多层交替结构作为插入层的涂层具有最小晶粒尺寸,较高的表面粗糙度,最高的纳米硬度值和较差的膜基结合力;而具有氮含量连续增加梯度结构作为插入层的涂层晶粒尺寸较大,表面粗糙度较低,膜基结合力好,但纳米硬度值较低. 展开更多

为研究过渡层材料及结构对TiCN涂层性能的影响,设计3种Cr基及其化合物过渡层,利用多弧离子镀技术制备TiCN涂层。膜系分别为Cr/TiCN、Cr/CrN/TiCN和Cr/CrN/CrCN/TiCN。利用SEM、XRD、纳米压痕仪、划痕仪、摩擦磨损试验机和球磨仪对涂层... 为研究过渡层材料及结构对TiCN涂层性能的影响,设计3种Cr基及其化合物过渡层,利用多弧离子镀技术制备TiCN涂层。膜系分别为Cr/TiCN、Cr/CrN/TiCN和Cr/CrN/CrCN/TiCN。利用SEM、XRD、纳米压痕仪、划痕仪、摩擦磨损试验机和球磨仪对涂层的微观结构和性能进行表征。结果表明:随着过渡层由单层Cr依次加入CrN和CrCN,涂层原有的柱状晶生长被抑制并最终消除。与具有Ti过渡层的TiCN相比,涂层不再具有明显择优取向,(111)峰强度大大减弱而(200)峰发生宽化。具有CrN和CrCN过渡层的样品硬度和附着力明显高于以单层Cr为过渡层的样品,Cr/CrN/CrCN/TiCN膜系硬度和附着力最高,分别为(30.11±0.34)GPa和(37.21±0.46)N。摩擦磨损试验结果表明:CrCN过渡层的引入显著提升了涂层耐磨性,其对应样品摩擦因数最低,达到0.111,并在球磨测试中表现稳定,而其它膜系均出现不同程度的磨损形貌。 展开更多
