The proposed method, termed as IMP-ADP, does not require complete state feedback-merely the measurement of input and output data. More specifically, based on the IMP, the output control problem can first be converted into a stabilization problem. We then design an observer to reproduce the full state of the system by measuring the inputs and outputs. Moreover, this technique includes both a policy iteration algorithm and a value iteration algorithm to determine the optimal feedback gain without using a dynamic system model. It is important that with this concept one does not need to solve the regulator equation. Finally, this control method was tested on an inverter system of grid-connected LCLs to demonstrate that the proposed method provides the desired performance in terms of both tracking and disturbance rejection.展开更多

These targets are capable of achieving sharp maneuvers within a short period of time, such as drones and agile missiles. The probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter, which propagates only the first-order statistical moment of the full target posterior, has been shown to be a computationally efficient solution to multitarget tracking problems. Aiming to a high efficiency, the buoy's hydrodynamic shape is optimized by enumeration and comparison. Furthermore, in order to keep the buoy's well-designed leading edge always facing the incoming wave straightly, a novel transmission mechanism is then adopted, which is called the tidal adaptation mechanism in this paper. Time domain numerical models of a floating pendulum WEC with or without tide adaptation mechanism are built to compare their performance on various water levels. When comparing these two WECs in terms of their average output based on the linear passive control strategy, the output power of WEC with the tide adaptation mechanism is much steadier with the change of the water level and always larger than that without the tide adaptation mechanism.展开更多

Due to the enormous economic benefit and heritage value, some mountain glaciers will always receive higher attention from commercial media, government departments and mountain tourists in China and abroad. At present, more than 100 glaciers have been devel- oped successfully as famous tourist destinations all over the world. However, global climate change seriously affects mountain glaciers and its surrounding environment. According to the current accelerated retreat trend, natural and cultural landscapes of some glaciers will be weakened, even disappear in the future. Climate change will also inevitably affect mountain ecosystems, and tourism routes under ice and glacier experience activities in these ecosystems. Simultaneously, the disappearance of mountain glaciers will also lead to a clear reduction of tourism and local economic benefits. Based on these reasons, this paper took Mr. Yulong Snow scenic area as an example and analyzed the retreat trend of a typical glacier. We then put forward some scientific and rational response mechanisms and adaptation models based on climate change in order to help future sustainable development of mountain glacier tourism.展开更多

It also offers adaptation capacity needs as well as water and food security in the southern African region. In this study, evidence for climate change impacts and adaptation strategies in rainfed agricultural systems is explored through modeling predictions of crop yield, soil moisture and excess water for potential harvesting. The study specifically presents the results of climate change impacts under rainfed conditions for maize, sorghum and sunflower using soil-water-crop model simulations, integrated based on daily inputs of rainfall and evapotranspiration disaggregated from GCM scenarios. The research targets a vast farming region dominated by heavy clay soils where rainfed agriculture is a dominant practice. The potential for improving soil water productivity and improved water harvesting have been explored as ways of climate change mitigation and adaptation measures. This can be utilized to explore and design appropriate conservation agriculture and adaptation practices in similar agro-ecological environments, and create opportunities for outscaling for much wider areas. The results of this study can suggest the need for possible policy refinements towards reducing vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in rainfed farming systems.展开更多

Methods: A total of 71 patients with preeclampsia who were treated in Zigong Third People's Hospital between December 2014 and February 2017 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into the control group (n=38) who accepted conventional low molecular heparin therapy and the study group (n=33) who accepted low molecular heparin combined with Roy adaptation model therapy. The differences in hypercoagulable state, endothelial function and placental blood perfusion were compared between the two groups before intervention and after 8 weeks of intervention. Results: Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the hypercoagulable state, endothelial function and placental blood perfusion between the two groups of patients. After 8 weeks of intervention, peripheral blood coagulation indexes TT and AT-Ⅲ levels of study group were higher than those of control group while D-D level was lower than that of control group;serum endothelial function index NO content was higher than that of control group while ET-1 content was lower than that of control group;ultrasonic placental blood perfusion parameters FI, VI and VFI levels were higher than those of control group. Conclusion: Low molecular heparin combined with Roy adaptation model intervention could further reduce the hypercoagulable state, decrease the vascular endothelial injury, and eventually increase the placental blood perfusion in patients with preeclampsia.展开更多

Time domain numerical models of a floating pendulum WEC with or without tide adaptation mechanism are built to compare their performance on various water levels. When comparing these two WECs in terms of their average output based on the linear passive control strategy, the output power of WEC with the tide adaptation mechanism is much steadier with the change of the water level and always larger than that without the tide adaptation mechanism.

文摘Mountain glaciers have an obvious location advantage and tourist market condition over polar and high latitude glaciers. We then put forward some scientific and rational response mechanisms and adaptation models based on climate change in order to help future sustainable development of mountain glacier tourism.
文摘Improving agricultural water productivity, under rainfed or irrigated conditions, holds significant scope for addressing climate change vulnerability. The results of this study can suggest the need for possible policy refinements towards reducing vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in rainfed farming systems.
文摘The cornea is an avascular, transparent tissue that is essential for visual function.Any disturbance to the corneal transparency will result in a severe vision loss.Due to the avascular nature, the cornea acquires most of the oxygen supply directly or indirectly from the atmosphere.Corneal tissue hypoxia has been noticed to influence the structure and function of the cornea for decades. The etiology of hypoxia of the cornea is distinct from the rest of the body, mainly due to the separation of cornea from the atmosphere, such as prolonged contact lens wearing or closed eyes.Corneal hypoxia can also be found in corneal inflammation and injury when a higher oxygen requirement exceeds the oxygen supply.Systemic hypoxic state during lung diseases or high altitude also leads to corneal hypoxia when a second oxygen consumption route from aqueous humor gets blocked.Hypoxia affects the cornea in multiple aspects, including disturbance of the epithelium barrier function, corneal edema due to endothelial dysfunction and metabolism changes in the stroma, and thinning of corneal stroma.Cornea has also evolved mechanisms to adapt to the hypoxic state initiated by the activation of hypoxia inducible factor(HIF).The aim of this review is to introduce the pathology of cornea under hypoxia and the mechanism of hypoxia adaptation,to discuss the current animal models used in this field, and future research directions.

文摘Wind gusts are common environmental hazards that can damage buildings, bridges, aircraft, and cruise ships and interrupt electric power distribution, air traffic, waterway transport and port operations.Accurately predicting peak wind gusts in numerical models is essential for saving lives and preventing economic losses. This study investigates the climatology of peak wind gusts and their associated gust factors(GFs)using observations in the coastal and open ocean of the northern South China Sea(NSCS),where severe gust-producing weather occurs throughout the year. The stratified climatology demonstrates that the peak wind gust and GF vary with seasons and particularly with weather types.Based on the inversely proportional relationship between the GF and mean wind speed(MWS),a variety of GF models are constructed through least squares regression analysis.Peak gust speed(PGS)forecasts are obtained through the GF models by multiplying the GFs by observed wind speeds rather than forecasted wind speeds. The errors are thus entirely due to the representation of the GF models. The GF models are improved with weather-adaptive GFs,as evaluated by the stratified MWS.Nevertheless, these weather-adaptive GF models show negative bias for predicting stronger PGSs due to insufficient data representation of the extreme wind gusts. The evaluation of the above models provides insight into maximizing the performance of GF models. This study further proposes a stratified process for forecasting peak wind gusts for routine operations.

文摘Hydraulic actuators are highly nonlinear when they are subjected to different types of model uncertainties and dynamic disturbances. These unfavorable factors adversely affect the control performance of the hydraulic actuator.Although various control methods have been employed to improve the tracking precision of the dynamic system, optimizing and adjusting control gain to mitigate the hydraulic actuator model uncertainties remains elusive. This study presents an adaptive back-stepping sliding mode controller(ABSMC)to enhance the trajectory tracking precision, where the virtual control law is constructed to replace the position error. The adaptive control theory is introduced in back-stepping controller design to compensate for the model uncertainties and time-varying disturbances.Based on Lyapunov theory, the finite-time convergence of the position tracking errors is proved.Furthermore, the effectiveness of the developed control scheme is conducted via extensive comparative experiments.

文摘This study aimed to address the challenge of accurately and reliably detecting tomatoes in dense planting environments,a critical prerequisite for the automation implementation of robotic harvesting. However, the heavy reliance on extensive manually annotated datasets for training deep learning models still poses significant limitations to their application in real-world agricultural production environments. To overcome these limitations,we employed domain adaptive learning approach combined with the YOLOv5 model to develop a novel tomato detection model called as TDA-YOLO(tomato detection domain adaptation). We designated the normal illumination scenes in dense planting environments as the source domain and utilized various other illumination scenes as the target domain. To construct bridge mechanism between source and target domains, neural preset for color style transfer is introduced to generate a pseudo-dataset,which served to deal with domain discrepancy.Furthermore, this study combines the semi-supervised learning method to enable the model to extract domain-invariant features more fully, and uses knowledge distillation to improve the model's ability to adapt to the target domain.Additionally, for purpose of promoting inference speed and low computational demand, the lightweight FasterNet network was integrated into the YOLOv5's C3 module, creating a modified C3_Faster module. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed TDA-YOLO model significantly outperformed original YOLOv5s model, achieving a mAP(mean average precision)of 96.80%for tomato detection across diverse scenarios in dense planting environments, increasing by 7.19 percentage points;Compared with the latest YOLOv8 and YOLOv9,it is also 2.17 and 1.19 percentage points higher, respectively. The model's average detection time per image was an impressive 15 milliseconds, with a FLOPs(floating point operations per second)count of 13.8 G.After acceleration processing, the detection accuracy of the TDA-YOLO model on the Jetson Xavier NX development board is 90.95%,the mAP value is 91.35%,and the detection time of each image is 21 ms,which can still meet the requirements of real-time detection of tomatoes in dense planting environment. The experimental results show that the proposed TDA-YOLO model can accurately and quickly detect tomatoes in dense planting environment, and at the same time avoid the use of a large number of annotated data, which provides technical support for the development of automatic harvesting systems for tomatoes and other fruits.

文摘This paper focuses on the adaptive detection of range and Doppler dual-spread targets in non-homogeneous and nonGaussian sea clutter. The sea clutter from two polarimetric channels is modeled as a compound-Gaussian model with different parameters, and the target is modeled as a subspace rangespread target model. The persymmetric structure is used to model the clutter covariance matrix,in order to reduce the reliance on secondary data of the designed detectors.Three adaptive polarimetric persymmetric detectors are designed based on the generalized likelihood ratio test(GLRT),Rao test, and Wald test. All the proposed detectors have constant falsealarm rate property with respect to the clutter texture, the speckle covariance matrix.Experimental results on simulated and measured data show that three adaptive detectors outperform the competitors in different clutter environments, and the proposed GLRT detector has the best detection performance under different parameters.
文摘In order to improve the prediction accuracy of macrosegregation channel, an algorithm for dynamic remeshing is proposed. The basic idea is to generate fine elements near the liquidus isotherm. The norm of the gradient of solid fraction is used for piloting the remeshing in the mushy zone; whereas, the objective mesh size in the liquid is considered as a function of the distance to the liquidus isotherm. The efficiency of mesh adaptation is demonstrated by prediction of macrosegregation channel in a case of unidirectional solidification.

文摘This paper explores the application of Model Predictive Control(MPC)to enhance safety and efficiency in autonomous vehicle(AV)navigation through optimized path planning. The evolution of AV technology has progressed rapidly, moving from basic driver-assistance systems(Level 1)to fully autonomous capabilities(Level 5).Central to this advancement are two key functionalities:Lane-Change Maneuvers(LCM)and Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC).In this study,a detailed simulation environment is created to replicate the road network between Nantun andWuri on National Freeway No.1 in Taiwan. The MPC controller is deployed to optimize vehicle trajectories, ensuring safe and efficient navigation.Simulated onboard sensors, including vehicle cameras and millimeterwave radar, are used to detect and respond to dynamic changes in the surrounding environment, enabling real-time decision-making for LCM and ACC.The simulation resultshighlight the superiority of the MPC-based approach in maintaining safe distances, executing controlled lane changes, and optimizing fuel efficiency.Specifically, the MPC controller effectively manages collision avoidance, reduces travel time, and contributes to smoother traffic flow compared to traditional path planning methods. These findings underscore the potential of MPC to enhance the reliability and safety of autonomous driving in complex traffic scenarios.Future research will focus on validating these results through real-world testing, addressing computational challenges for real-time implementation, and exploring the adaptability of MPC under various environmental conditions. This study provides a significant step towards achieving safer and more efficient autonomous vehicle navigation, paving the way for broader adoption of MPC in AV systems.
文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of low molecular heparin combined with Roy adaptation model on hypercoagulable state, endothelial function and placental blood perfusion in patients with preeclampsia. Conclusion: Low molecular heparin combined with Roy adaptation model intervention could further reduce the hypercoagulable state, decrease the vascular endothelial injury, and eventually increase the placental blood perfusion in patients with preeclampsia.
