Titanium alloys are very reactive in molten state, so they are wid...Numerical modeling of the tilt casting process for TiAl alloys was investigated to achieve a tranquil mould filling and TiAl castings free of defects. Titanium alloys are very reactive in molten state, so they are widely melted in cold crucible, e.g. the Induction Skull Melting (ISM) furnace. Then the crucible holding the molten metal together with the mould is rotated to transfer the metal into the mould--ISM+ tilt casting. This paper emphasizes the effect of crucial parameters on mould filling and solidification of the castings during tilt casting. All crucial parameters, such as rotation rate, rotation profile, venting, initial mould temperature, casting orientation, feeder design, change of radius in'T'junction and mould insulation have been discussed using numerical modeling data. Simulations were performed using a 3D CFD code PHYSICA implemented with front tracking, heat transfer algorithms and a turbulence model (which accounts for an advancing solid front).展开更多

The history is divided into 4 periods, each with its own feature.During the period of nomad immigration, the top-line of the subalpine forest was forced downward by the expanding subalpine meadow. During the period of farming nationality immigration, the bottom-line of middle mountain forest had moved upward forced by the needs for land or timber of the increasing population in the valley basin. During the period of the early exploiting, the focus resource was the timber. The total output was limited, comparing with the later period, because of the bad accessibility.But it was large enough to impact the forest ecosystem of the deforesting area. The recent 50 years is the crucial period of economic development and eco-environment degradation. This paper points out that the impact of human being's activities for environment lies on 3 factors: 1) physical features control the location and tendency eco-environmental change;2) population and productivity control the scale and speed of eco-environmental change; 3) regional accessibility controls the time and location of eco-environmental change.展开更多
Facial expression recognition(FER)is still challenging due to the small interclass discrepancy in facial expression data.In view of the significance of facial crucial regions for FER,many existing studies utilize the ...Facial expression recognition(FER)is still challenging due to the small interclass discrepancy in facial expression data.In view of the significance of facial crucial regions for FER,many existing studies utilize the prior information from some annotated crucial points to improve the performance of FER.However,it is complicated and time-consuming to manually annotate facial crucial points,especially for vast wild expression images.Based on this,a local non-local joint network is proposed to adaptively enhance the facial crucial regions in feature learning of FER in this paper.In the proposed method,two parts are constructed based on facial local and non-local information,where an ensemble of multiple local networks is proposed to extract local features corresponding to multiple facial local regions and a non-local attention network is addressed to explore the significance of each local region.In particular,the attention weights obtained by the non-local network are fed into the local part to achieve interactive feedback between the facial global and local information.Interestingly,the non-local weights corresponding to local regions are gradually updated and higher weights are given to more crucial regions.Moreover,U-Net is employed to extract the integrated features of deep semantic information and low hierarchical detail information of expression images.Finally,experimental results illustrate that the proposed method achieves more competitive performance than several state-of-the-art methods on five benchmark datasets.展开更多

Here,we report that OsINO80, a conserved ATP-dependent chromatin-remodeling factor in rice(Oryza sativa), functions in both GA biosynthesis and diverse biological processes. OsINO80-knockdown mutants, derived from either T-DNA insertion or RNA interference, display typical GA-deficient phenotypes, including dwarfism, reduced cell length, late flowering, retarded seed germination and impaired reproductive development. Consistently, transcriptome analyses reveal that OsINO80 knockdown results in downregulation by more than two-fold of over 1,000 genes, including the GA biosynthesis genes CPS_1 and GA_3ox_2, and the dwarf phenotype of OsINO80-knockdown mutants can be rescued by the application of exogenous GA3. Chromatin immunoprecipitation(Ch IP) experiments show that OsINO80 directly binds to the chromatin of CPS1 and GA_3ox_2 loci. Biochemical assays establish that OsINO80 specially interacts with histone variant H_2A.Z and the H_2A.Z enrichments at CPS_1 and GA_3ox_2 are decreased in OsINO80-knockdown mutants. Thus, our study identified a rice chromatin-remodeling factor,OsINO80, and demonstrated that OsINO80 is involved in regulation of the GA biosynthesis pathway and plays critical functions for many aspects of rice plant growth and development.展开更多
